Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    Lady with a heavy accent told me that she is with the US Treasury and she is calling about an enforcement action against me. I told her that she is a scammer and needs to quit scamming people and hung up.

    Heavy Indian accent with same call from some guy claiming he is with the Treasury dept.  Arlington Va number showed up on my caller ID 703-952-2156. I think it is funny that these idiots think I would take them seriously. You can hear noise in the background like a small office of people just calling others.

    Call came from 347-796-4398.  The male caller with a heavy accent asked me for my attorney's contact information as there was a legal action recently started against me.  When I asked him for more information he said I should call the US Treasury Official assigned to my case at the exact same number that he was calling from.  Kinda seems sketchy to me.

    Keep getting the same man calling same as above complaints but hes calling FROM 786-272-6578 and he hung up on me when i started asking question dont fall for this scam

    call came in from (347) 796-4398 that legal action is being taken against me.  Called himself US Treasury Official. Asked me for my attorney's name. I told them to send it in writing and they stated they sent out to notices.  Then transferred me to " Mark Johnson" to explain the law enforcement action against me.  He started to read the "Legal Action Notice".  It says that there are 3 actions.  It is regarding my IRS taxes.  The last reason is that I filed late.  LOL ... I filed at the beginning of February.  Then they hung up when I said they must have the wrong person.

    I  have been receiving this call already 2 to 3 times a day for about 2 weeks or more. Exact same message as everyone else. 206-336-3995 and 716-902-6407. How in the world do you get it to stop. This is craxy

    Yep! Got that exact call from Leslie Owens yesterday! So glad I looked this up before freaking out. She left a voicemail and phone number so I think I may call her back and ask some questions and give her my attorney's number as well. Bet she hangs up on me!

    A few of these reports are stating a call from David Williams. To me that seemed a little fishy because I got a call from someone claiming to be Sean Williams from the Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury. And he told me that he's been trying to get a hold of me. And it's the same as everyone else about the person threatening legal action against them.

    The number: 866-471-9659. And after I listened to the 1st voicemail, there was another voicemail immediately after that's 4 mins long that's completely silent. He does have a thick indian accent where I could barely understand him. He said: "This is your Final notice."

    1.) I'm still young and don't know exactly how taxes work. 2.) I've never received anything in the mail from IRS or any form of government agency and if I have, I don't remember receiving anything in the mail from them.

    Most likely a scammer. And I'm getting so tired of this stuff where I receive so many scam calls everyday and a lot of the numbers I get calls from when I look them up, they either are reported as a Telemarketer or it's reported as scam or fraud. It's just ridiculous.

      This exact same number just did the exact same thing to me on my cell! First message 29 sec, garbled by a heavy accent. Couldn't understand what he was saying. 2nd message left, 3:59 seconds of nothing. Tried calling back, answered, hang up. So I sent them a sms text! If they call back, I'll be surprised.

    Same in Tiffin OH Anthony walker called left the same messages and he to had a very heavy accent

    Got a few calls from different numbers with the same content. Just listen to the background sounds - is Department of legal affairs partying or socializing all the working time?

    I received a long message from Hugh Fernandez at 866-844-5377, but said to call 866-844-5376.   I also received a message from James from the 202 area code.

    I just received a call from 877-693-3922 with the same scenario, a man calling himself Gary Anderson, asking for me, with a very heavy Indian accent, said he was with the Department of Treasury,  He told me that I needed to get a lawyer because a criminal case was being launched against me.  I told him if the Department of Treasury was calling me it would be an American not someone with a strong foreign accent, and to not call me again! When my husband got home from work, he called the guy and the guy told my husband there was a warrant out for my arrest, when my husband asked for what, the guy said he wasn't at liberty to say.  My husband told him to never call us again. It was ridiculous!

    I just got an alarming call from1-866-985-8070 and the first person I talked to was a Jennifer Brown. She said she was from the Dept of Legal Affairs U.S. Treasury and that I had a warrant out for my arrest because of money owed to the U.S. Treasury. They had my name, address, and cell phone number. The first eye catcher was they called me by my nickname and not the legal name I file with. Secondly they never included my husbands name (which I didn't volunteer) and we file jointly. I asked what was owed and they transferred me to a Inspector Smith with Law Enforcement and said that I should be receiving a 911 call soon for my arrest and while I was on the phone with this guy, the 911 call came in but it said it was from India. When I questioned that he said it was really from Indiana. Why would 911 be calling me from Indiana or otherwise. Basically he said I owe from 2013 taxes $3987 and that our tax guy made an error on our taxes, so he knew (or guessed) we had someone do them. Bottom line I hung up and got on here to do some research to find out if this was a scam or not. Glad I checked.

      This guy and gal both that I talked to had a VERY heavy Indian accent and when he was telling me what was going to take place (bank accounts frozen, lien on house, etc) he told me not to interrupt him while he was speaking so I told him, then speak loudly and clearly so I can understand you! He didn't like that.

    Just got a call now, 866-471-9659, sounds like he is calling from India and they are partying in the back ground. Says it's a legal matter and didn't even have my name!!!! I blocked my number, called back and it disconnects.

    Caller ID reflected 0000000000. Left VM said Shawn Williams of Dept of Legal Affairs. Spoke broken in English. Demanded I call back to 866-471-9659.
