In December we purchased a Husky power washer 1750, Since that time it was used exactly 4 times. It does not work, the on off swith does not work, the GFCI plug does not work.

I have made many attempts via E-Mail to contact this company ,and keep getting answers back from someone named Kyle One e- mail asks me if the fan is turning, another asks me to disconnect the hose then try it. Nothing resolving my problems.

The last E mail I received to day stated the following:" Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting us. i am sorry for the inconvenience with the unit and i hope for the best in the future Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions. Sincerely, Kyle

To me this is not a response to fix a problem of a basically new machine. My advise stick with Sears, at least they back up their products.

I have the infamous Husky hu80722 with no pressure. I have tried all of the solutions suggested. This piece of equipment is a joke. The ccompany that manufactures it should be sued out of bussiness. I think a class action case needs to be started against Home Depot and Husky for selling such a defective machine.

Yep I borrowed my boyfriends 2600 power washer (stored in our garage) to use at a friends now it doesnt have nearly the same power as when i used it 2 months ago - and my  future husband took note and I am shunned from ever borrowing another tool out of there - because hes sure it was me - Jessica Lee

Let me know of any solutions you come up with - I'm seeing that everyone has the same darn issue!

    Shannon,

I purchased another brand of pressure washer and cut my losses. Home Depot should do the same. I wasted nearly $200.00.

I purchased a H2000 last year.  I would say up untill yesterday everything was fine.  Then the guts dropped out.  I pile of grease poured out of the bottom of the machine, not only causing a huge mess, but also staining my concrete that I can't powerwash.  I didn't abuse the machine.  I've probably used it 10-15 times.

I am trying to get thru to customer service right now, I'll follow up in just a moment.

They are sending me a label and they are going to repair or replace for free.

I just bought a Husky 2.4GPM 2600 psi powerwasher from Home Depot.  I didn't get an instruction manual since it was a return that was repaired (so they say).  Any help out there?

You can put in a search for parts. I was looking for a replacement spray gun and found this site which states they didn't have any parts for a couple of specific Husky models, but to contact your local Home Depot. And offered this link to download a manual
      http://www.mastertoolrepair.com/husky-parts-2 ... unbuhgreimdarc2

Only problem is it doesn't list your model. But you should be able to find a similiar offer for your model.

Yep, I'm with all of you.  I bought the 1600, HU80220, exactly one year ago and I need a new hose and gun already.  I use it twice a month. I found a website that sells the parts.  http://www.ppe-pressure-washer-parts.com/husk ... re-washer-parts

Home Depot couldn't find the parts.  They had a 1600 psi on display, but were selling 1700 psi from the floor.  The two hoses are not interchangeable.  Husky doesn't even have the item on it's website to buy parts.

I guess the $70 for a new hose is worth it since it still works, but if the  pump or anything else goes wrong I'll get another brand.  I agree with some of the other comments that Home Depot should stop selling these.  They are absolutely damaging their reputation.  Wish me luck!!

I can't complain now.  Went back to Home Depot, explained to them about the hose and wand issue.  Ends up the unit is made by Ryobi.  Called them, they said it was made by Homelite.  However, they had parts for it.  Home Depot thought I was getting a run around, took the items off the display and gave it to me.  That's customer service

I regretfully own a Husky HU80709 pressure washer, serial number: AM0591334, with a Courage XT-7 173cc engine.  I bought this specifically for the engine because I have come to believe that Kohler makes an excellent engine.  I wish I was right.  Since I purchased the pressure washer, I have only been able to use it three times.  The day after I bought it, I used it and it worked wonderfully.  The next time I used it, it would not start.  It had been about 2 months, so I thought it was me.  I brought it to the shop for repair under warranty.  When I got it back three weeks later, I used it then.  The next time I tried to use it, the thing would not start again.  Back to the shop it went.  Three weeks later again, I got it back.  Yesterday, I tried to use the pressure washer and what do you know, it would not start.  I checked the troubleshooting guide in the manual and everything checked out fine.  I replaced the gas and then tried to start it again only to find all the gas "pissing" out the air filter.  I could not make it stop.  So, if I take it back to the shop again, I will have bought a better pressure washer almost one and a half times over.
If you want to buy one of these pressure washers, do yourself a favor and just run out into traffic.  It is faster and nowhere near as expensive.  Buy a real pressure washer and stay away from this crap.

I have now owned 2 Husky pressure washers both purchased at Home Depot.  The first one was a Husky 2600, 2.3GPM, 160 cc, Honda engine.  This was a great pressure washer for about a year.  Started every time on the first pull I used it about 3 or 4 times a month.  Well, the last time I tried to use it the pump had gone out on it so there was no pressure at all.  I tried to fix it with no luck.  I just chalked it up to a lot of use and broke down and went and bought another Husky from Home Depot again.  The second pressure washer I purchased was a Husky 2600, 2.4GPM, 173cc Kohler engine.  This pressure washer too was great for about a 1 and a half.  It too started every time on the first pull.  About a week ago I went to use it and when I pulled the starter cord it snapped off in my hand.  I then proceeded to take the thing apart to repair the cord.... This was a little more difficult than I anticipated especially when the recoil spring came bouncing out.  I finally got it repaired and it worked again.  I just went out to use it again today, started on the first pull.  While using it I noticed something on the floor of my barn.  It was the pull handle, the cord had somehow gotten cut again.  I again took it apart repaired it and put it all back together again.  Started washing again and the dang thing cut thru the cord again.  I decided since I already had it running I would just continue to use it adding gas as I went with the washer running so I would not have to take it apart again.  Well, while I was washing I heard a strange noise and looked to see what it was... The pressure washer was spitting out chunks of plastic and metal.  I ran over there by the time I got to it is was smoking quite heavily.  I tried to turn it off but the on and off switch would not work.  About 2 seconds later the pressure washer burst into flames.  Needles to say..... I am done with Husky Pressure Washers.  I am now searching for a different brand.  Although they were great washers for a year or so.... I don't want to keep having to replace them.  I really feel they should last longer with the amount of money they cost.  Just to note: I also keep them up, cleaned and oiled and checked out!  I will NEVER buy another HUSHY!!!

I wrote the message above.  I also went to Home Depot website so I could write the same review on the second pressure washer I had purchased.  I basically said the same things I did above.  The reason I did not review the first pressure washer is the fact they no longer carry it.  I just wanted to make other customers aware of the problems that I have with the product so they could save themselves a lot of problems and worry.  Well, I just received a message back from Home Depot telling me that they had rejected my review????  I followed all their guide lines did not use and foul language, I even mentioned that both pressure washers were great to start with and that they started on the first pull every time. I did not mention other products or Web sites, nor did I add email addresses, URL's, phone numbers or other forms of contact information.  I also did not make critical or spiteful comments on other reviews posted on the page.  I have been shopping at Home Depot since the basically opened their first stores in the areas I have lived.  I can not tell you how upsetting it is to me that they would not post my review.  It just tells me that Home Depot does not really care about products that do not work and they also do not care if they sell them to the public even though there is obviously a problem.  I can not tell you how much money I have spent at Home Depot.  This just shows me they do not want their customers to actually get information they could use to make a proper decision when looking for a product to purchase.  I also think I will no longer be shopping at Home Depot.  This makes me sad because I love Home Depot...
