"Heather in Account Services, calling re your credit card account"
Complaint
Andrew
Country: United States
Telephone number shown on caller ID is 208-864-5339. I am registered on the "Do Not Call" list and have been for years; however, this bogus company continues to call regardless of what I do. It begins with a recorded message "This is Heather of Account Services; I am calling regarding your credit card account. Consider this your last chance to take advange of this offer. If you do not wish to receive these calls, please press 2 now. If you wish to speak to a representative, press 1 now." I have pressed "2" numerous times but they continue to call. I have pressed "1" and asked the "representative", a man, to stop calling me. I have asked to speak to his manager, etc. When I dial the 208 number, I get a recording, made by the man who I talked with, saying that the number has been changed and to check the directory. Obviously this message is not recorded by the telephone co. I am trying to find out the name of the company.

They are flagrantly violating "Do Not Call" laws. Dish Network just paid millions for these offenses.
But, this company (because they block their number and won't identfy themsleves) keeps getting away eith this.
So, if nothing else, Post the compnay's name and number!
Me, I Googled "Colorado Attorney General Do Not Call" and got the page where you submit a complaint. So I did, even though the Caller ID was blocked and they hung up on me.
The Complaint page has a box you can check for that. And they want to know if someone was rude or used profanity.
Log a complaint, folks, or this will continue.
And the person who worked there for a few hours, POST THEIR INFO. Thanks.
If you subit a complaint they will eventually be brought down. *(The "auto warranty" robocalls are now finally going down.)
But...if people are not going to complain to their state's Attorney General (Google it, you can do it online) then these guys will go for years.
Does anyone have a number on who I can report this harrassment too?
I am going to check with my phone company - I know they can trace a lot more than these idiots calling us realize (I have had to have calls traced before).
In the meantime I may just unplug my home phone - we don't really use it anyway. I know that doesn't work for everyone, so for those that can't do this, have a little 'fun' with them when you have some time to kill. Make up a bunch of names (like Jane Doe, with account number 5555555555555.....). I thought about also telling them that "I am not interested, but I pressed '1' to talk to someone, simply because I'm lonely...
I even told one guy I knew they were a scam and he wanted to 'know where I got my information. Apparently they do not have Internet access - it took me about 5 seconds to find information on this scam when I did a search.
Good luck all, and hopefully these morons will be stopped soon! :)
forget about the police or the FCC or the authorities. they can do nothing. hanging up when the recording starts doesn't discourage them. after about 6 months of almost daily harassment, i stayed on the line for a human and when he spoke i SCREAMED into the phone at the top of my lungs with a series of curses. it felt great. the calls stopped for a year, and now they have started again. i don't feel sorry for the employees; they are criminals. i might just invest in a whistle.
