Telephone number shown on caller ID is 208-864-5339.  I am registered on the "Do Not Call" list and have been for years; however, this bogus company continues to call regardless of what I do.  It begins with a   recorded message "This is Heather of Account Services; I am calling regarding your credit card account.  Consider this your last chance to take advange of this offer.  If you do not wish to receive these calls, please press 2 now.  If you wish to speak to a representative, press 1 now."  I have pressed "2" numerous times but they continue to call.  I have pressed "1" and asked the "representative", a man, to stop calling me.  I have asked to speak to his manager, etc.  When I dial the 208 number, I get a recording, made by the man who I talked with, saying that the number has been changed and to check the directory.  Obviously this message is not recorded by the telephone co.  I am trying to find out the name of the company.

THANK YOU for this information. We are so tired of this time consuming nonsense that it is good to have some recourse.

    You're welcome

    I got a callback from Darrell - from 954-623-6784.
He added a few more bits of information:
    1) The company is at 1104 (or 1106) Powerline Rd in Pompano Beach, but that the corporate names I gave him must have been 'previous tenants' in the complex. He never heard of the collection agency or any of the other names I mentioned.
    2) He claimed that HIS company was affiliated with the Lionheart Group - Google this name for lots more info on them. Their CEO likes to pop up on scam.com and other forums to 'prove' that his company isn't a scam. I have no idea if Lionheart Group is connected wtih National Dealer Services (or whatever they call themselves these days)
    3) The sales script is this:
    a) I give him my 16-digit credit card number. He verifies that my account is in good standing
    b) If so, they negotiate better interest rate terms with the bank. If I agree to the improved terms, they charge me a fee - typical $798, but could be more

I found THIS complaint, using the phone number used to call me:
    http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/national-dealer-services-c82564.html

    Also see this board:
    http://lisaoflongbourn.wordpress.com/2008/06/ ... -telemarketers/

I should have confronted Darryl with the job listings I found, all linked to 1104 Powerline Dr, all made within the last week or two.

I've just spoken with the Florida Attorney General's office
You can reach them at 1-850-414-3930 (I believe it's option 1 in the list).

There are multiple complaints against these companies. The gentleman at the office implied that an investigation is most likely when complaints reach a critical mass, and they can establish a pattern of abuse.

So it might be a good idea for all of you to call. This company is in fact engaged in several types of abuse:
    - Timeshares
    - Mortgages
    - Credit card scams
    - Auto warranties

I just received another call - this time asking if I wanted to extend the warranty on my car. I hit "1" and spoke to a young woman at a call center.

She identified the company as "Warranty Division". She did not put me through to the company, b/c I did not provide a VIN #. When I quizzed her further, she did consult a supervisor, and confirmed that the company was indeed National Dealer Services of Pompano Beach, FL.

It's no coincidence, and confirms everything that I've discovered up to now.

I was able to get the name of the holding company a few weeks ago. Whether it is correct or not is anybodies guess. The company name, as told to me, was Liberty Mutual.

yes these people are terrible, I'm on the do not call list and told them, they still call every two weeks, private caller comes up so I have no number, when I get the number it is no good when I call back, I went through talking to them as if I would apply, when I mention anything about not calling they hang up on me. Am reporting them to FCC

I cannot believe the FCC will not do something about this!!!  These [***] should be fined or thrown in jail or both.  My experience is the same as all above.  Get with it US government.  Earn you pay, do you duty, protect our citizenry from this scum.

Call your congressman and lodge a complaint also.  You will get an aide if you call the local office, and tell them you are fed up with the inaction by the FTC and these calls are harassment, or something to the effect that you expect your congress critter to see that the laws are enforced.  If you live in a southern state all the better because you probably have a Republican who, at the moment, wants to show you what a good rep he or she is.

Once (I don't remember which type of call it was or exactly what key I hit, if any, to make this happen) after the 'supervisor' hung up on me, I was apparently 'reconnected' to their switch. I stayed on the line, listening, for about 30 minutes while their operators talked to many people. I could only hear the operator side of the conversation. Most calls ended rather quickly. Each time the call would end I would be connected to their switch again.

As I said, I don't remember what, if anything special, I did. You might experiment with hitting keys other than 1 or 2.

I once kept a political automatic polling machine on line for quite some time by hitting a different response than the choices given. It would tell me I had made an invalid choice and give me the choices again.

Oh... I use a headset on my wireless phone so I can keep working while playing 'keep their line busy'--lots of fun.

Yes I too and sick and tired of Heather.  I will never name my child Heather just because of that skank from "Account Services". haha Seriously though, Heather will never be in the list of names. I've tried all the same things. Since it is a business number they are calling I can't not answer the phone.  Since it can take time away from a customer I decide to waste some of their time when they call.  I just press 1 and scream at the top of my lungs.  Im thinking about getting a whistle now.  At first I thought well these people are just doing their job, but after the research I have discovered they know what they are doing is illegal so they deserve to lose their hearing for a day or so.

I use to get a lot of calls from these [***].  Now it is down to about one a month.  Yes, they spoof the number they are calling from so you can not return the call.  I do not know anything about them stealing CC numbers.  At first I just call them a few names and they hang up.  Now, if I have time I play along for a while and then after I have wasted a bunch of their time, I hang up on them.  Then if they call back, the number I gave them is a local sheriffs office.  I wish I was there when they call and get "Sheriffs Office", may I help you?
I wish I knew who these people were.  I would go see them myself.  Most likely I would in up in some trouble, so I guess it's best if I don't.  Yes, the Federal Government is WORTHLESS.  Weather it's the National Do Not Call List, SS Department, IRS, What ever.  They are just worthless than tits on a bull hog.  And you wonder what happen to the 800 Billion.  Yea, it went to bail out banks...if you believe that, I can save you money on your credit card bills too!

    Guys and Gals
This is a huge deal...we need to pool our info and take some action.  They are not legit.  Who is the organization that we report credit card fraud to?  My guess is that you cannot trace the numbers because they role (They use out calling lines only that change and are not assigned to anyone).  I have foudn a website online that I wonder about www.cardmemberservices.com.  This looks like it could be them, there is no contact info from what I can tell.  If we could get someone who has worked with them and is as honest and courageous as those who have posted on here to share what they have, that would be great.  Does anyone else have ideas?

I have received many many of these calls from "Card Services" & "Consumer Services" ! Do NOT fall for their scams! Report them to your Credit Card company's, YOUR credit card companies will tell YOU it is a SCAM! Never Never give them any information! If you notice they never know any information about you, they are just computer generated calls, NEVER tell anyone who randomly calls you any info about yourself. Just tell them right off you are an employee of "The Justice Department" or that you work for "The Attorney Generals Office" and they will disconnect immediately.

I have also gotten many calls from these characters.  They don't mention who they are calling just that they can lower the interest rate on the credit cards of whoever happens to answer the phone.  I have asked them who they are calling but they say they are calling me even though they have no idea who I am.  I have told them several times not to call me anymore but they continue to do so.  I even have two calls from them on my answering machine and I just received another from them yesterday.  I don't have any credit card debt and I don't use my card so I should have any credit card debt so I don't care what the my interest rate is.  The last time I called I asked who I was speaking to and he said "Keven" since I wasn't sure if I had heard the name correctly, I asked him to repeat his name and he hung up.  I was furious so I dialed *69 and got the phone number which they dialed for me and I was told that the call didn't go though.  I hung up and tried it again but it didn't go though that time either.  The phone number was (407)649-0219.  I checked on the number and discovered it was a Florida phone number.  I was so angry that they would interrupt my day and then hang up on me so I even reported them to the FTC.  I am also on the "do not call list" and I have been on the list ever since it was created so I really resent getting a phone call from these inconsiderate morons.  I have a reference number from the FTC and I will use that same reference number to report these morons every time they call.  I suggest all of you do the same.  Let's get these creeps of the phone and into prison where they belong.

I too have been receiving this call for months, maybe even a year now! In fact they called today that is why I went online and ran a search and came up with this! Apparently we can't stop them!! So here is what I am going to do from this day forward when they call! I will push the key that gets me a human on the line, I have a VERY LOUD police whistle that I am going to keep handy, when they come on, I am going to say, can you hear me okay? When they say yes, I am going to blast the fricking ear drum out of their head!! If they get enough people that start doing that, I honestly believe that they will go away and definatley will play hell trying to keep employee's working for them!! This is my solution to a problem that has been going on "WAY" too long!! I suggest that you all try to same!! I did the same thing to pervert that used to call all of the time and talk dirty! One day I blew that whistle into the phone and I have "NEVER" heard from him again!!
