Our company is call Global Reach Institute, and we have received numerous complaints of people receiving calls with Global Reach Int on their caller ID> It is not us, we NEVER make unsolicited calls, and don't utilize telemarketing in our organization. The phone number that is making these calls is not associated with us in any way. Our organization is headquartered in Spokane, Washington, not Los Angeles. Please understand we have done everything we can think of to make them stop using this caller ID and making unsolicited calls, however have been told by the phone company, etc, that there is nothing they can do. We are mortified that our good name is being smeared by whomever is making these calls, but please understand that it is NOT Global Reach Institute, just as your identity can be stolen, so can your company ID apparently. We are a humanitarian/educational travel organization that develops educational/humanitarian international programs to help make the world a better place for everybody. The calls you are receiving are not from Global Reach Institute (for International Education).

1-213-426-2708. I came up with the idea of answering it and waiting and said "please be on the line". I waited 1 minute and some one actually came on the line. I told him to keep talking because I was tracing the phone call and needed him to stay on the line. He apologized a million times and insisted that my wife was inquiring about losing weight... (My wife is a fitness instructor) I knew it was bogus and told him to stay on the line for 20 more seconds and then he hung up and havent had any phone calls... This is just an idea for you who want to try it... Not a guarantee it will work but its worth a try.
Not very professional, even criminal debt collectors are less rude. I blocked the number. Who knows who it is, but if they get around my call block I'm filing a police report. I'm on the donotcall registry every year.
If someone calls and they don't let you know what they want, and they ask for someone you know doesn't live in your house, It's NOT an emergency, and NEVER give them any information about yourself or the person they are looking for.
If they do call back, do as I will, federal law states that when you ask the telemarketer to "Remove my name from your list. Do not call, do not solicit", they must do so, or (if sued) face penalty. Be sure you ask for the agents' name or ID before you ask them to remove you. Write down the information including the date/time of the call.
Also, if you use a VOIP provider, check your online 'control panel' to see if they have a blocked caller list. Mine does (for both incoming and outgoing numbers). I just log on, add the number to the list and when they call back, they get a busy signal until you remove them from the list and you never even know they are calling. (Yay!!! Thank you, Packet8!)
As a side note... Since when is 1980 sq. feet a "small" home? And I thought my home, at 1100 sq. foot, was a "small" home.
