Our company is call Global Reach Institute, and we have received numerous complaints of people receiving calls with Global Reach Int on their caller ID>  It is not us, we NEVER make unsolicited calls, and don't utilize telemarketing in our organization.  The phone number that is making these calls is not associated with us in any way. Our organization is headquartered in Spokane, Washington, not Los Angeles.    Please understand we have done everything we can think of to make them stop using this caller ID and making unsolicited calls, however have been told by the phone company, etc, that there is nothing they can do.  We are mortified that our good name is being smeared by whomever is making these calls, but please understand that it is NOT Global Reach Institute, just as your identity can be stolen, so can your company ID apparently.  We are a humanitarian/educational travel organization that develops educational/humanitarian international programs to help make the world a better place for everybody.  The calls you are receiving are not from Global Reach Institute (for International Education).

Recently I was victim of a loan scam from Pioneer Lending Resources, they took $1200 from me and have compromised ALL my information.  The same time the phone calls from these people started from 2134262708.  I have notified the police about both instances and of course there is nothing they can do about it, but there has to be something.  Any suggestions??

I also have been receiving phone calls from "Globalreach Int" phone
1-213-426-2708. I came up with the idea of answering it and waiting and said "please be on the line". I waited 1 minute and some one actually came on the line. I told him to keep talking because I was tracing the phone call and needed him to stay on the line. He apologized a million times and insisted that my wife was inquiring about losing weight... (My wife is a fitness instructor) I knew it was bogus and told him to stay on the line for 20 more seconds and then he hung up and havent had any phone calls... This is just an idea for you who want to try it... Not a guarantee it will work but its worth a try.

Been recieving calls from the 213 number and caller id Globalreach Int. After 9 phone calls yesterday from that # I decided I would answer it today. A woman answered with a "hello?' and I told her that they were calling off the hook and I wanted to know why, since they never left a message. Apparently, she has caller id also, since she repeated my # back to me and then asked for my next door neighbor by name. I asked if this was a family medical emergency and she said "it has nothing to to with medical. Let me speak with **** (my neighbor)!" and I said I need to know what the call is regarding, she shouted "Goodbye" and hung up.
Not very professional, even criminal debt collectors are less rude. I blocked the number. Who knows who it is, but if they get around my call block I'm filing a police report. I'm on the donotcall registry every year.
If someone calls and they don't let you know what they want, and they ask for someone you know doesn't live in your house, It's NOT an emergency, and NEVER give them any information about yourself or the person they are looking for.

I just got a call telling me the Govt. wanted to give me a grant and asked what I wanted to use it for.  I did not have to be paid back etc. etc. BUT all he needed was $2.00 to pay the postage and it had to be on a credit card.  I am very wise to this stuff so I played along having fun with his head until the very last when I said good try scammie but no thanks.

These people just contacted my VERY hard of hearing father. They said they were willing to give him a government grant at no cost to him. Unfortunatly he didn't hear all the woman was saying to him, but when he said " I think I better hold off for awhile" she just hung up on him. The # was 213-452-6539. They have called several times daily and we just figured why not see what it was about. NOW WE KNOW!! Does anyone know if they have been able to scam anyone? We are trying to contact the FCC.

They called my home tonight for the fourth time when I answered. They were proposing a government grant. I hung up on them then immediatly called THEM back to which they stated it was a "law office". I requested the numbers of all the credit cards they had recieved in the past three hours. She started counting 1,2,3,etc. and I said "NO. I need the credit card numbers and an address where to send the subpoena to". They hung up on me. No return phone calls yet!!

I guess they have a new number now. I am getting calls from 213-426-2708. I am on the DO NOT CALL list and I have gotten more phone calls like this that I ever did before I went on the DO NOT CALL list. If anyone finds  away to stop the annoying call please share. The last time that they called they asked for Peggy and I said she didn't live here anymore. They said ok sorry for the call. Hopefully it worked.

I'm so thankful to have this information. Being 52 and not computer wise I could have been scammed, I was merely trying to take a class in Bible Theology.  This is affirmation that the enemy(satan) is working in these people.

My husband filled out the "Gov't fund" money thing on the internet and my first call was from them today.  As soon as she asked me for my credit card number and I told her I didn't give it to strangers over the phone, she hung up on me!  Sounds like someone to run away from!

I am also getting calls from these people. I just answered the call today and when the agent mis-pronounced my first name (Sean (as in Connery)) which she pronounced "Shan" (like Jackie "Chan" with an "sh"), I just told her "You blew it already, call back when you can pronounce the name correctly" and promptly disconnected the call.

If they do call back, do as I will, federal law states that when you ask the telemarketer to "Remove my name from your list. Do not call, do not solicit", they must do so, or (if sued) face penalty. Be sure you ask for the agents' name or ID before you ask them to remove you. Write down the information including the date/time of the call.

Also, if you use a VOIP provider, check your online 'control panel' to see if they have a blocked caller list. Mine does (for both incoming and outgoing numbers). I just log on, add the number to the list and when they call back, they get a busy signal until you remove them from the list and you never even know they are calling. (Yay!!! Thank you, Packet8!)

As a side note... Since when is 1980 sq. feet a "small" home? And I thought my home, at 1100 sq. foot, was a "small" home.

GlobalReach Int  408-400-8095 showed up on my caller ID this morning.  I was on another line and could not answer it.  Since I know most of the callers who call my business and did not recognize the number I did a quick Google search and found many complaints including those on this site.  So a new area code is now being used (west central CA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_code_408), which is an update from the other posts on this site.
