Do not honor the warranty

We purchased a Spring Air Mattress June 13, 2005 from Cajun Brothers in Conway, AR. One of the main reasons we purchased this mattress was the warranty. We noticed that the mattress was sagging (on both sides) where we sleep. Cajun Brothers came to our house, (February 2007), took pictures, measured the sag and sent them to Spring Air.

Spring Air replied that our mattress was not that bad. We needed to rotate the mattress. Not that bad? Is a Spring Air mattress supposes to be comfortable and not sag for 2 years only? That is almost $500.00 a year for a bed. I really do not think this is acceptable. We are very unhappy with this mattress. We are supposed to have a 100% warranty not to be prorated in any way.We have a king size Vienna pillow top.

I sleep on the right side in the summer and my husband on the left. In the winter, we switch. In my opinion, we are rotating the mattress. We are unhappy about the way we have been treated. If a mattress is sagging, IT IS SAGGING. It does not make any difference how much. If something is broken, it is broken. We do not want another Spring Air mattress; another one would probably do the same thing as this one has. We are truthfully tired of the hassle. We have lived with this for a year now its time something was done. We expect a refund from Spring Air.

We're in the same boat as you - purchased the Spring Air from FurnitureLand South two years ago and now have two sagging holes.  They were measured, but was just told that they weren't enough to honor any warranty.  I'm going to try and complain to Furnitureland South again, but now that I hear Spring Air is out of business, I'm not sure what their options are.

I can't believe that we are not alone in this fight. We bought a top of the line Chatham and Wells which is made by Spring Air and paid $4000.00 and it started sagging about 6 months after we bought it. I had an inspection done 3 times and got no where with them. Then on the 4th try about 3 years later they pulled the "warranty voided do to stains". What a Crock, What about the first time a had it inspected and it was fine then...
Unfortanetly we have all been dooped, I should have filed the lawsuit back when we were first denied, maybe I would have gotten something before the hid behind filing bankruptcy

    Give me a Break
Good God, I thought I was the only one.  I purchased The Diana Mattress by Spring Air in Mar or Apr of 05'.  Great mattress or so I thought.  It started sagging on side, so I started sleeping on the other.  Both sides are now sagging. I continuously rotate that mattress, it is a one sided pillow top so I can't actually flip it. m I am a stomach sleeper, but can't sleep n my stomach anymore, because the sag makes my back arch so so bad in the concave direction.

The company I bought it from is out of business, I have no idea what to do
    Talk about money wasted.

    Third time a charm???
This is the 2nd mattress in a 3 year period we bought.  The first one cost 1800, this one cost 1500(on sale).  After making my husband give up his water bed after 30years, he is extremely unhappy with mattresses, and we are in constant discomfort.  This mattress not only has sagging, but also the frame squeeks all over the surface and especially on the edges as we get in and out of the bed.  So frustrating!!

I bought a spring air mattress 3 years ago. I paid almost $5,000 for the top of the line model. There is a big hump in the middle and both my husband and I could roll off the sides. I can' find my receipt! Needless to say I'm pretty upset

Hom Furniture Company offer me a replacement minus 4yrs of my 10 year warannty valve. In that they claimed on lucky because they were under no obligation. I don,t have another 400 dollars I can come up with in this economy. We are really getting taken to the cleaners. Where is the states Attorney Generals or Office of Consumer Affairs.

When you checkwith the number listed, they will give you a number of the New SPRING Air mattress company in your area. (THEY JUST 'SPRING AIR' FROM ONE COMPANY TO ANOTHER')  Then you will go thru a bait and switch effort for them to sell you a new mattress at full price.  The old company has filed bankruptsy in the SPRING AIR of 2009 and voided temselves of all warranties, therefore if you bought before this time, you have NO WARRANTY.......You will be redirected to a NEW COMPANY who bought the Spring Air NAME and they will SELL you a NEW MATTRESS.   Who would want to buy the same thing you bought and then have the new company go out of business and never honor a Warranty?   Maybe the next life will take care of people WHO OPERATE BUSINESSES like this.

I am curious as to how many of you were informed of "body signature" when you purchased your mattresses?  One of the greatest changes in the designs of beds today vs. the beds of yesterday, is that the mattresses actually conform to your body, vs. your body conforming to the mattress.  I've been in the mattress industry for years, and I've witnessed many changes, some good, and some not so....  Every reputable salesperson should inform customers that mattresses today, regardless of price, coil count, feel, and style, is designed to conform to your body as you sleep. This means that over the first 90 days that you are breaking in your mattress you will see impressions where you lay.  This is normal and to be expected, regardless of the brand or price...Be it a Sealy, Serta, Simmons, or a Spring Air.  If the salespeople on the floor, assisting you with your purchases would be forthright and honest about what to expect from your new mattress, a lot of you wouldn't have as many issues.  This being said, all of the big "s" companies will take care of your warranty complaints if you stay on them.  Email and call until you get results....

I suggest you visit www.springair.com, and locate the nearest manufacturing plant, which I believe is in IA.  Contact them and I'm sure they would be happy to help you.  Good Luck!

Well, just add us to the mix.  I bought a bedroom set from Rooms to Go and the Spring Air mattress came with it.  It has been only two years and the whole bottom right end looks like it is squished.  I have no idea how that happened since we do not sleep there.  Rather than deal with these losers, we just bought another one today.  It's a Serta and I'm pretty sure it will last longer with no problems. I would never recommend the Spring Air to anyone.  Peace.

If they were making the mattresses correctly, they wouldn't have lost their jobs.  It's the people who managed this company's fault that jobs were lost not the consumers.+

There is nothing about our worthless Spring Air mattress that could be considered a "new design". It sags so bad on the edges you can't lie flat no matter how hard you try. It's 3 1/2 years old and we haven't replaced it only because I didn't know how to avoid another one just as bad. Went to JC Penny and paid $1200 for this one and hated it from the start. Previous Spring Air was 8 years old and one of the kids uses it yet today. After seeing it's a "Spring Air problem" we'll toss it out and buy a different brand. Probably give JC Penny a chance to make it right, otherwise we'll take 40 years worth of loyal business elsewhere.
To the "Mattress Geek" - warranties should be honored the first time around, not after repeated request. And if this Spring Air mattress was actually the way all new mattress's were designed, then all the manufacturers would be bankrupt today.

Park Place are awful, I bought a king mattress that started to sag and now after 12 months the thing is unbearable and feels like your sleeping in a hammock!!!. I started a claim with Park Place and was told I would have to ship it at my expense for "inspection" to SC, I am in MI, I told them this was unacceptable and they refereed me to American Wholesale Furniture which is one of their dealers that was closer to me in IN, I was told the same thing that I have to ship at my expense for "inspection". Well the cost of shipping from MI to IN is around $300 each way, so I'd rather save the money and apply it to a newer and better mattress from a more reputable company than the Park Place/AWFCO rip off merchants.

I can[t believe what I am reading.  I bought a Springair King pillowtop form JC Penney at huge cost and after 4 years have 2 ski slopes on my bed.  It is so bad I went looking for new mattresses today to ease my aching back and shoulders.  No help from JCP, no help from Springair.  Thank you for letting me know I am not the 500 pound gorilla I imagined that made the tar pits on the sides of my mattress.  Gotta love the internet.

Sorry Chuck, I didn't intend to offend you, simply wanted you to be aware so you're not surprised when you see indentations in your next sleep set.  Just trying to be helpful....
