We purchased a Spring Air Mattress June 13, 2005 from Cajun Brothers in Conway, AR. One of the main reasons we purchased this mattress was the warranty. We noticed that the mattress was sagging (on both sides) where we sleep. Cajun Brothers came to our house, (February 2007), took pictures, measured the sag and sent them to Spring Air.

Spring Air replied that our mattress was not that bad. We needed to rotate the mattress. Not that bad? Is a Spring Air mattress supposes to be comfortable and not sag for 2 years only? That is almost $500.00 a year for a bed. I really do not think this is acceptable. We are very unhappy with this mattress. We are supposed to have a 100% warranty not to be prorated in any way.We have a king size Vienna pillow top.

I sleep on the right side in the summer and my husband on the left. In the winter, we switch. In my opinion, we are rotating the mattress. We are unhappy about the way we have been treated. If a mattress is sagging, IT IS SAGGING. It does not make any difference how much. If something is broken, it is broken. We do not want another Spring Air mattress; another one would probably do the same thing as this one has. We are truthfully tired of the hassle. We have lived with this for a year now its time something was done. We expect a refund from Spring Air.

We bought a Spring Air Chiro Imperial a year ago. It started sagging where each of us sleep and the edge on the side my husband sleeps on within about 4 months of purchase. I have a bad back (why we bought this bed!) and I have to sleep in the guest room because this one hurts me too much due to the sagging. My husband's side is awful now (and he's not a large man), and we can't believe the terrible quality of this mattress. We will be pursuing a warranty claim on this. It's RIDICULOUS to spend $1,000 on a mattress and have it fail within 4 months.

We bought a Spring Air mattress last year. After sleeping on for about four months I decide to turn the mattress. As we flipped it over we realized that we could not do that with this mattress but what we did notice was that it was sagging in the middle. We went to the store that we bought it from and the guy said that he could not do anything at the time because the company went out of busness he was waiting to find out if someone else would honor the warranty. He said that when he found out he would call us. Well several months went by and we did not hear from anyone so we went back to the store. The guy said that someone was going to hornor the warrenty and he gave them our information so that they could get in touch with us to come look at the mattress. Six months went by and now we see a going out of business sign on the store where we brought the mattress from. We go into the store talk to the guy and he says he did everything that he could do and he is not going to argue with us about it. Furniture Direct is not honoring the warranty and neighter is Spring-Air. They will get away with burning all of these people that purchased this product and there is no one that is going to do anything about it.

We had purchased a Spring Air mattress in April of 1992 and after 18 years of sleeping on it we are now in need of a new bed. I thought that since Spring Air served us well after all of these years that we would look for another Spring Air Mattress set but after reading all of these complaints I decided to look at different mattress sets. The one we had purchased back then was a Prelude Backsupport Ultra firm one. I guess back then they were making much better mattress's. I did see that the bed started to sag on the sides but that just started to happen a few years ago and it wasn't all that bad.We had no complaints at all about this bed. Now we will look for a totally different brand since there are so many complaints. Thanks for sharing all of your troubles. It truly helps the consumers.

Bought an Artesia from Spring Air at Mor Furniture in Phoenix. Mattress has started to sag after 6 months. No wonder they are out of business. Called Mor Furniture and spoke to our salesman Louis Lott and he said we would have to contact the manufacturer because they only warranty 30 days after the sale. Whatever. I weigh 187 and my wife weighs 101 and i really don't believe the mattress should start sagging after 30 days. What a piece of junk. I will never use Mor or Spring Air in the future and i will tell as many people as i can about the shotty customer service at Mor and the quality of Spring Air Mattresses.

Bought a Spring Air pillow top. We have the same problem, you have two holes with a hump in the middle! Kills my back. These were top of the line and we are laying in the hole. These were purchased at Foote Brothers in Sylacauga, Alabama. They gave me the run around and the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Left with a hole in the pocket book as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am another victim too.  Bought my Spring Air mattress back in 4/2005 and it started sagging on both sides where we sleep since Y2007.  It's now Y2010 and it's sagging bad!  I turn my mattress a few times month faithfully and it does not help!  I have not had a good nights sleep since Y2007 and I end up sleeping in my old full size bed in the spare room at least 4 nites a week now which is BS.  We paid over $1400 for this piece of junk!!!  The store where we bought this bed which was on sale when we bought it, went out of business.  I have the 617-884-2300 Spring Air Corp center to call. I left a msg today so let's see how long it takes to get a call back?

Every night is sleepless in a Spring Air. The sides where my wife and I sleep have sagged so badly that we can only sleep on our backs. There is the occasional rotate to sleep on ones side, which only jams the rib into the hip, that only lasts a few minutes. Then the dreaded rotate to sleep on the stomach. This is so painful to my lower back that this position lasts even less then the side position, unless I put a pillow in the sag area, which also gets tossed out after the next wake up. Finally on to the back again, where I only wake with aching hips. I now take Tylenol to to get a good nights sleep. Spring Air drives one to drugs! We have also contacted the company and had no response at all.  I'd like to end  on a good note though, our two cats love the sage holes and sleep in them everyday.

After reading all the complaints about the lousy Spring Air products, I had a Popular Mechanics moment. I had a roll of poli-fil and thought I might use it to make the mattress a little more comfortable to sleep on. First I took off the bed covers  including the mattress pad.  I cut a small round piece to fill the hole, then a larger piece to cover that over, next I cut two pieces the width of the bed and laid them across. The bed was remade all the while hoping the sheets wouldn't pop. So far so good, and the mattress feels like it did when it was new. I think they are using inferior materials, because after 6 months of use its an old broken down mattress. Spring Air advertises it and knows that a good nights sleep is important to rest. Not only do their not provide a good nights rest but cause many problems. I think the Hipocratic oath should apply here , "First, do no harm".  I think a Class action suite is definitly be called for.  To put it bluntly, Spring Air sucks!      For all those who can't buy a new mattress, I will updated you on my remedy.

we also have Queen size that is sagging on both sides and is not even 4 years old.  It sounds like we can't do anything either from everyones response.  We are not extremely large people either, and we also rotate regularly as well.

We, too, are in the same situation.  Bought a Spring Air Mattress in 2004, queen size made for J.C. Penney. Paid over $800 for it. This was for a 2nd guest bedroom which is mostly our exercize room.  It has only been used 10-12 times and by our 2 teenage nephews.  Each of them complained that his back hurt after sleeping on it.  I tried it and it sagged in the middle, so you roll to the middle of the bed and I woke up with back pain. It is a non-flip mattress.  I rotate it after each guest sleeps on it. I wonder if it has to to  with the half-size foundation?  Probably not since everyone else has so many problems like mine. Our main guest room mattress is 10 years old and nobody has ever complained. It is a Sealy Posturpedic--not a Spring Air. Pennys is refusing to honor the warranty on our Spring Air.

I also am up to my witts with the unfair practice of Spring Air Mattress company no warranty scam. I spoke with Diane at 717 884 2300 who states "we bought the name Spring Air" and you have no warranty with us." She referred me to the new mfg company Medipedic at 323 728 2333 who also had a person in claims  not in when I called. I think you should contact the newspaper and local TV station for help in your area and expose Spring Air for what they are. Apparently, if I make  defective  products with a warranty, then sell my company name to my friend/other I can still be in business under the same name and continue to scam people . I think you can't sell the company you filed bankruptcy under; a person would have to choose their own name.. unless they are a sister company or part of a corporation. Diane thinks I could pay the shipping to CA and back from AZ for repairs to the box spring and mattress set JC Penney sold me. I think "no out of pocket expense "should apply to me. Hope you follow up with the newspaper and TV stations.

Read my email after yours. Contact the newspaper and the local TV station to see if they can help. Spring Air should be exposed for their unfair business acts.

Just got ripped off by the Spring Air company. I bought a mattress about 1 1/2 years ago-queen sized pillow top (a little pricey). Now told that Spring air filed bankruptcy May 2009; and all the warranties voided.
So, I can fill out a form and take photos and then send to the new company
is called Spring Air International the old company Spring Air Mattress.
If they decide to fix my bed after reviewing the forms and photos then it is my responsiblity to pay to have it shipped back and forth from Santa Cruz to Fresno, CA. about $1,500. in shipping charges. Almost not worth it if they just repair an already broken bed. It was like this when I first bought it broken and a huge hump in the middle in sleeping in it I felt I was rolling off it all night long. I called the dealer who sold it to me and he just gave me the number to call in Fresno. They are really arrogant and tell me the same thing maybe they'll fix it, if my paperwork is honored.

Warranties are warranties. If you don't have a legitimate complaint, the company won't do anything for you. That is unless you bought it from a really good furniture store. Go back to the store you bought it from, have them come and look at it and take pictures and measurements. Sometimes pictures don't always tell the full story and the person that works at the furniture store will have to go to bat for the customer. If the employee is any good, you will get a different mattress to replace the defective one. The mattress has to be clean and have a legit body impression, generally 1 1/2-2 inches is normal. Anything over that, you should get a replacement mattress within your warranty period. If you don't, you went to the wrong store to purchase the thing to begin with. Like a shoe, where your toes leave impressions in the bottom of it, body impressions are normal on mattresses as well. It is your body doing the impression, it's the material just conforming to the weight of the person on the mattress. Sometimes there will be flaws and that is when you need to get a replacement mattress. Don't yell or get mad. Do it with some civility. You get more flies with honey then with vinegar I always say.

You are so right mattress geek. Finally someone who understands body signatures or body impressions. We need to get the word out to people.

It took you two years to figure out there was a dip on the end of the bed? If you don't ever use the bed, why in the world did you buy one to begin with? I am willing to bet someone jumped on the end of the bed and it gave way and didn't tell you they did it. Trust me, it doesn't just happen. Someone did it and won't tell you they did. Oh wait, maybe that ghost in the other room did it. Give me a break.

Who in their right mind cuts open a mattress. If you have a problem with it, go back to the store you bought it from and get a replacement. Most warranties cover body impressions over 2 inches. Course now that you cut open your mattress, you won't be getting a replacement one. Idiot!!!
