We purchased a Spring Air Mattress June 13, 2005 from Cajun Brothers in Conway, AR. One of the main reasons we purchased this mattress was the warranty. We noticed that the mattress was sagging (on both sides) where we sleep. Cajun Brothers came to our house, (February 2007), took pictures, measured the sag and sent them to Spring Air.

Spring Air replied that our mattress was not that bad. We needed to rotate the mattress. Not that bad? Is a Spring Air mattress supposes to be comfortable and not sag for 2 years only? That is almost $500.00 a year for a bed. I really do not think this is acceptable. We are very unhappy with this mattress. We are supposed to have a 100% warranty not to be prorated in any way.We have a king size Vienna pillow top.

I sleep on the right side in the summer and my husband on the left. In the winter, we switch. In my opinion, we are rotating the mattress. We are unhappy about the way we have been treated. If a mattress is sagging, IT IS SAGGING. It does not make any difference how much. If something is broken, it is broken. We do not want another Spring Air mattress; another one would probably do the same thing as this one has. We are truthfully tired of the hassle. We have lived with this for a year now its time something was done. We expect a refund from Spring Air.

My wife and I bought a king Spring Air Artesia pillow top mattress about a year ago. After about 3 to 6 months the bed has sagged on both sides. We rotate the mattress every couple of weeks but the problem just seems to get worse. I'm not getting a full nights sleep and seem to be having more and more discomfort in my back. The $100 discount the salesman gave us was just not worth it. Someone needs to investigate this company.

Thank GoD I found this website. I was starting to think that I was going crazy, I purchased this Cabernet Matttress a few years ago and I have begun to have major back problems since around early Jan. I callled the warranty company and the claim is in pending status. The floor is now my only relief from the pain.....

We bought a spring air king mattress 01/18/07  the mattress sags so bad
that sleeping is miserable  we called mattress mart and the manager emailed
spring air. he was going to replace the mattress for us but spring air informed him that he was not a distibuter any more.  spring air informed us of their procedures including pics and then if they agree to replace it we have to pay $150.00  i already paid $900.00 I'm not paying again.
This company needs to be investigated.

SPRING AIR MUST BE INVESTIGATED!!!  Poor WARRANTY customer service!!  I have only had my bed for 8 months and experiencing sagging in center after rotation.  They want you to jump through hoops after spending $1000 on a mattress.  I'm happy to contact local BBB for both Mattress King Atlanta and Spring Air!  Plus will write letters to 20/20 and local TV stations to investigate this type of fraud!!!!

My wife & i also bought a spring air back supporter memories mattress a little over a year ago.the first couple months it was great but then we noticed we were sinking into the mattress with a hump between us.
we rotated it like they said everything to the spec's but it just got worse we would wake up many times a night hurting and trying to find a comfortable spot with no luck. i looked online and found that we weren't the only ones with this problem in fact 99% of those who bought a spring air mattress want their money back and if you ask me that says a lot. i called spring air today and they emailed me the claim form to fill out and return so I'll have to get back on how they handle my complaint.
I must say though for anyone thinking of buying a spring air mattress You will be making a very expensive mistake, there is a serious problem with spring air and their products so don't be another post like me do your research before buying.

My Husband and I purchased a King Spring Air Pillow top Feb,05 I noticed righ away that the stiching was comming undone also my back and neck were constantly hurting, I thought I just needed to get used to the new mattress. This was not the case, I still have neck and back problems. after about 6 months we noticed the two sides that we sleep on were sagging, after spending $1500 on this mattress I new something was seriously wrong!! My two month old baby sinks into this mattress I do not think a 10 pound baby should be sinking into a mattress of any kind... We called the warrenty company and they tried to say if liquid was spilled on the mattress this would be why this is happening (give me a break).  my mattress has been rotated  and has had no liquids spilled on it, we are not heavy people and wehave taken great care of it. there is NO REASON THIS SHOULD BE HAPPENING!I think we all should get together and file a class action suit!!!!!!!!!

I just came from my chiropractor.  Got an adjustment just last week and my back is out again.  I know it is the King Spring Air Pillow Top.  We purchased ours about 7 years ago (it had a 10 year warranty).  After the first two years we called the company as the mattress was sagging on both sides.  And no we weren't able to rotate the mattress.  It is a pillow top.  (I agree with you that a 10 pound baby should not be sinking into the mattress.)  The company sent a manufacturer's rep and because the mattress was not indented 1" there was no compensation.  Just last year (mattress is now 6 years old) we had the rep come again as the hole was deeper.  He said if the indentation was 1" they would replace the mattress.  The indentation was 3/4".  Sorry.  It didn't meet their specifications.  I agree with you about a class action suit.  When I see all of the other complaints.  I will NEVER buy a spring air again.

Wow, I wished I would've read these before purchasing our mattress....
We bought our in January of this year (2008), for several months now, i feel like when we are in bed I roll towards the middle, and i'm lying in a rut.  The matress was great for about a few months....I feel this mattress should last for great comfort more than6 months.....Last night was the last straw, i tossed and turned all night, and even had nightmares of going into the mattress store and demanding a new mattress, lol.. I called the store today and low and behold they don't carry spring air any longer, the mgr. is looking into warrantee info, but i may have to contact spring air myself, if they don't honor the warrantee any more.  This is ridiculous, as it's not like we have children jumping on the bed, etc.....and we're not super heavy people...My back and neck pain are tremendous at night, didn't know why that my pains would subside during the day but were severe at night...these posts explain everything.

i have the king admiralty plush.  I bought it June 2006.  for about 6 months now it feels like i'm sleeping in a hammock the sag is so bad.  If i lie in the middle of the bed i'm literally 3 inches higher than the side I sleep on.  I just called the company and they're sending  me a claim kit.  I guess I should be worried. Any advice on how to anticipate problems?  please let me know.

LOL, JUST DID MY OWN MEASUREMENT.  i LAYED DOWN IN MY USUAL POSITION AND HAD MY WIFE MEASURE THE DISTANCE FROM MY CHEST TO THE CEILING.  72.5 INCHES

THEN I LAYED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BED 71.3 EXACTLY.  THAT'S 1.2 INCHES OF SINKAGE.  LOL

LET ME SEE THIS GUY WHO'LL COME TRY AND TELL ME IT'S LESS THAN AN INCH.

Boy, I wish I'd seen this website before have purchased my Spring Air!  It began sagging less than 6 months after being slept on; now a year later, like everyone up above, I do not get a good nite sleep.  I wake up with my back and legs in pain.  When I try to get comfortable at nite, I feel like I am laying across the Grand Canyon.  It feels like I am laying on a heap of rocks if I do not fit just right into the groove or try to turn in the middle of nite, forget it!  I did contact Spring Air which is to send me the paperwork, but from what I have read, it looks dim that I will get any help in terms of replacement or compensation.  Great!@@@@

Same as the others.  Disgusted that no one will hold these guys accountable.  Bought king in December 2003 for $1,200 with tax.  We suffered with it until January 2008 when the original retailer helped me get a new mattress under the warranty.  Big win, right?  The new bed sagged much worse in about 2 months.  Now I wake in the morning with back pain, arm pain and abdominal pains (from the spine being out of alignment).  This is criminal!  Let me know when you hear of a class action suit.  I'm ready!

I am a very knowledgeable mattress salesman, I have been doing this for 13 yrs. Mattress do not "ROLL" to the middle. When a customer comes in with this proplem I suspect a foundation (boxspring) or frame problem, assuming you have a "Back supporter" or above quality mattress.

If your Box is making noise something may be broke in there or maybe your frame doesn't have a center support beam. Look under the bed is the a beam running side to side or head to toe in the middle of the bed? Does it have at least one leg that comes down to the ground?

The warranty for ALL major brands is 1 & 1/4 or 1 & 1/2 in body impression. That means if you get up but the matt doesnt then it is defective assuming no stains are detectable on the matt.

You can test the box by putting the matt on the floor & sleeping on it does the "Roll" go away or decrease? If yes then something is wrong with the box.

The warranty for ALL mattresses is 1.25 or 1.5 inches with no one on the matt. It makes sense that the padding will compact while you are on the bed. To measure for defects you must take a string & stretch it across the matt when nobody is on it & the take a tape measure & measure the sag from string to matt (dont cheat & measure to the indentions that are built into the matt)

I'm sorry you are having problems the spring airs from 2008 arent even built the same way as the ones from 2003. The real problem may be that you have simply bought the wrong type of Mattress for your "body type". It can be complicated buying the "Right" type of mattress if your salesman is not very knowledgeable.

Try this: lay on the floor flat on your back put 1 hand behind your back so that your knuckles our touching your spine at the L4-L5 backbones, about where your belt would be the biggest curve on your spine. Now bend your knees see how your spine straightens out putting pressure on your hand. Your chest, lower groin, & back muscles are alll relaxed. Now put your legs down 1 leg at a time see how the pressure eases up off your hand & all those muscles stretch? If it's a lot you need more cushion on your bed if its a little then you need less.

If your a side sleeper then roll on your side, see how your shoulder is jammed into your clavical that puts too much pressure onto your shoulders causing your arm to fall asleep making you toss & turn all night. If you have someone to help you, that person can get behind you & take measurements of the top of your neck to the floor vs your tailbone to the floor a 1/2 inch is acceptable. If he/she were to draw an imaginary line from the Top of your neck (a yard stick helps) across your back you would see that line running into your hip instead of lining up with your tailbone.

A mattress needs to keep MOST peoples back as alighned as possible, There are exceptions, a sway back being one.

Now go to your bed & try these test if there is too little cushion it will gige you the same results. If there is too much you will see a visible hammock when you lay down. This is not always a problem unless you have an injury or very tight back muscles.

If it is hammocking, hips lower than shoulders while you are on the bed & you can not exchange for a more solid feeling mattress, then take a thick blanket or thin pillow & place it between the matt & box just about where your hips are to flatten out your spine.

BTW I don't work for Spring Air but I do sell them as well as Simmons & other brands.

Don't try to explain the unexplainable, they can't make mattresses period, a mattress suppose to work in any circumstances if it's designed right for a long time, simple!

Spring Air like Simmons or Sealy stand behind their product a 1 & 1/2 inch body impression is considered a defect. You cant lay on the bed while measuring this. King size beds develope a "King's Crown" this is a high point in the middle of the bed. I am assuming you have a king as queen size matts rarely get this. You can see a spot where you sleep a spot where your partner sleeps & a spot in the middle where no one sleeps. This is not unique to Spring air every brand has it though it is less noticeable on tempurpedic (the real ones not the knock offs).

The deeper the crown the more that speaks to your cudleling habits older folks King size beds develope it faster & deeper than younger peoples mattresses. After 23 years of marriage it looks like the Great wall of china at my house.

Remember one thing STAINS void a warranty on a mattress & the vendors will look for them. So if you see any stains then you need to get them out or hire a professional to remove them.
