I read a few blogs about a merchant service(squareup.com)on an excusve website.  I decided to use the service and accepted over eight hundred dollars in payments through them.  The problem is they will not send the funds due to my designated business account and I have now idea how to collect my money from them.  They continue not to answer my numerous complaints and requests for assistance.  They claim to answer every request personally which is deceptive.  On my first complaint, they personally sent me a list of measures for a certain proceedure which was fruitless and had nothing to do with my complaint.  If it was not for You Tube, I would have still been stuck on the application complaint.

    Has anyone had issues with using the same square account on different devices? We just got an iPad for our business and thought it would appear more professional then swiping the cards on our phones. Our last two transactions we ran through our iPad and now Square is holding those transactions. Could using a different device cause issues? We've tried emailing Square but haven't heard anything in 5 business days.

    I was fined 10,000 Dollars federal fine because a hacker stole credit card info from one of my customers cards.. I had no idea Squareup saves all my customers card numbers and info.. This frauded my customers card and now I lost my business because squareup does not protect information.. It should be against the law to use squareup...  :(

    I think square is having financial trouble. The sheer number of people who are being slow paid tells me that they are robbing Peter to pay Pail.  keep your balances low, I'm betting the disappear sometime this year. You can't offer crappy service and no customer support, hold other peoples money and treat your customers like thieves and stick around. It's to bad. It was a great idea just crappy service.

    got a text stating I just paid 24 bucks for the "Exquisite App" with instructions to go to the squareup website to get a free card reader.  I never purchased this app and didn't even know what it was until now.

    I had a square account.  I take pictures and also provide memory books for class reunions.  I had an exceptionally large reunion and I got the books out about 4 weeks late.  I had taken square payments so the reunion chair told the people that paid with credit to go back in and get their money back.  So these people, who now all have their books, are going back, to this day and taking money back out of my account.  I have been trying to contact square now for 3 months to stop this from happening.  They have no proof that these people don't have their product, yet they are continuously taking the money out of my account.  At one point they responded in email that they can't give the peoples names out.  R U serious?  You're taking money out of my account and I have no clue who's doing it; it just says square $75.  And that's the only response I've received.  I can't find a number to call to get to the bottom of it.  Now I have to close my account to stop these charges.  These people have their product furthermore, there was no contract that locked me in to a date I just told them it would take about 4 weeks.  If they decided that it took too long they should have gotton their money back from me not square.  I was supposedly squares customer, they should contact me before taking money out of my account!

      They are a payment aggregator,not a merchant service provider.So by law, it's THEIR merchant account, not yours. With a merchant account you are entitled to a dispute resolution process before any money is moved out of your account.

    415-375-3176<----that is a phone number to square, you have to choose the option of wanting to sign up to get new service to actually get a live person. Any other option will forward you to either full voicemail boxes or you leave a message and never get a call back, you have to be very assertive with them to actually get assistance.

    We are a small company that uses Square, only for a little while longer, and have numerous communication issues with them; no replies to voicemails or emails. We have been with them much longer then 30 days and have issues with out money being deposited in a timely manner.

    To the folks that are claiming no one can read and to "read all the rules and regs...." Heres a link below for you.

    https://help.squareup.com/customer/portal/art ... square-deposit-

    The $1000 limit relates to card NOT present transactions. NOTHING is stated that swiped transactions over $1000 will be held. I talked to two reps today ( took two hours between calls since no one answered when "Erik" transferred me.... Go figure ) when I called about $7500 being held for over a week; swiped mind you. The second jerk flat out told me not to call and I was wasting my time.

    Conversation;

    Me; Is there a manager there that I can speak to regarding my account? Ive emailed to no avail and Ive called and no one could or would help.

    Rep; Yeah, dont call. It wont do any good. Just keep emailing and answer the questions that they sent you.

    Me; I already answered the questions. Ive emailed about 4 times this week. Im not getting answers and nothing on the website describes the hold on a swiped transaction. I guess Ill just need to keep calling back to find someone that can help me.....

    Rep; Seriously, this is the customer service department. We cant help you with your account and it wont do you any good to call here.

    Me; Could you give me a direct line to Hannah's department then? Thats who last emailed me and thats who Erik transferred me to earlier when no one answered.

    Rep; I cant give you any numbers.

    Me; Can you transfer me to her department then? Thats what Erik did earlier......

    Rep; I can transfer you, but it wont do you any good. Most likely they wont even answer the phone over there since they like to document everything by email. But I guess I can transfer you.....

    Some example of customer service eh? As soon as I stated my name to the second Rep, he obviously knew the account and had his helmet on.

    Another link;

    https://help.squareup.com/customer/portal/art ... to-be-deposited

    Notice how there is NO LIMIT on swiped transactions and the deposit time is 36hrs MAX.

    This company is DEFINITELY dropping large transactions into short term CD's and making interest on them. False advertising at BEST. FRAUD at worst..... If you do $1000 or more transactions, I would NOT use this company.
