I read a few blogs about a merchant service(squareup.com)on an excusve website.  I decided to use the service and accepted over eight hundred dollars in payments through them.  The problem is they will not send the funds due to my designated business account and I have now idea how to collect my money from them.  They continue not to answer my numerous complaints and requests for assistance.  They claim to answer every request personally which is deceptive.  On my first complaint, they personally sent me a list of measures for a certain proceedure which was fruitless and had nothing to do with my complaint.  If it was not for You Tube, I would have still been stuck on the application complaint.

I just received my dongle.  Did you have problems as wel?

I just looked for a customer service number to ask questions.  I found none.  I sent a question a few nights ago as I just realized i would not have access to my funds over $1000 until 30 days thereafter.  Do you have a phoen number for them that you can provide?

Thank you for this phone number! They make a point of not making their phone number easy to find. Extremely helpful! Only thing better would be if I was in CA and was able to grab them by the bowtie!

I don't even use this service and I was billed and charged without swiping my card. I can't get a hold of them for these fraud charges...

tarted using squareup.com to accept credit card payments from my customers in January, 2011. Used it four times without incident. Took a $1200 payment in March, 2011 and only received a partial payment to my bank account. After submitting a request through their email and not hearing back for over a week, I figured out, via their FAQ, s, they still consider me a "new" customer and they hold amounts over $1, 000 per month for 30 days. No contact from them yet so I've decided to switch to Intuit's GoPayment service and close the Squareup account as soon as I get the rest of my money. I certainly will not and do not recommend this company as their customer service is non- existent and they appear to want to make money on your money while they hold it.

This place is an Absolute Business Nightmare!!!  I run a small Sealcoating business and had to turn down alot of work last year due to not accepting credit cards so I decided to try out Square.  HUGE MISTAKE!!!  I had a 3600.00 parking lot to do for Shell Oil.  Manager manually enters Corporate Card info for both initial job deposit and remainder of payment a week later.  The first 1200.00 went right into my bank account in 24 hours minus their fees.  So why would i think that the remaining 2400.00 wouldn't do the same?  Instead they only put 844.00 in my bank 72 hours later and are holding the rest until after may 17th.  I am totally pissed and despite sending them countless e-mails that i am done using them if they don't release my funds, nothing changes!  When i clicked on the link to increase my payout amount they responded with an email requesting all my personal business info like fein # and a copy of the contract between me and the customer.  Total BS!!!!  They sure dont wait to take their money out and how ironic they ask for all your personal info but customer service reps dont even furnish a last name or id number and you can forget about talking with a human!!!

I feel your pain .. Im a limousine company in NJ ... bought it .. The Square, then came home and read Blogs and im on my way back to store to return it ..
use MSI as a merchant/processor, and purchase a hand held . there are many out there .. go to your local cell office... But use a Merchant Services comp .. This company sounds like they take your funds and day trade with it for weeks.

Sent my application in over six weeks ago. Still have not received the card reader and with no way to contact them I am concerned about whether or not they are for real. I have seen some negative comments about them ... can't say as I have seen any positive comments.

I am still trying to contact them. Even called the AG's office for New York State to no avail.

I found the app and recommended it to a friend. The friend used it first, but has not received payment for the $60 owed. No way to speak with anyone. No return or return for emails sent. This company is terrible and has put my friend in a bind.
