I read a few blogs about a merchant service(squareup.com)on an excusve website.  I decided to use the service and accepted over eight hundred dollars in payments through them.  The problem is they will not send the funds due to my designated business account and I have now idea how to collect my money from them.  They continue not to answer my numerous complaints and requests for assistance.  They claim to answer every request personally which is deceptive.  On my first complaint, they personally sent me a list of measures for a certain proceedure which was fruitless and had nothing to do with my complaint.  If it was not for You Tube, I would have still been stuck on the application complaint.

Wish I checked here first.... Square has not deposited a payment into my account (although I verified with customer that they DID withdraw the funds from their account), will NOT respond to the numerous emails sent, looks like I have to accept a loss of funds and will NEVER use this service again. STAY AWAY FROM SQUARE unless you like to deal with unsolvable problems since they will never talk to you about it.

I manually entered a card over the phone and it declined, I tried again thinking I may have put the numbers in wrong. It declined again, my customer got on her bank account and it shows 2 card transactions pending for the $250,00 we ran the card for.

I looked on square and it says declined transactions may show as pending on the persons account but in a few days will go away. This morning she called and said both transactions cleared and the money was gone from her account.

My square app shows nothing was ran let alone there, I have emailed and just an automated response that someone will be with me shortly. Is there a number I can call? Has anyone had this happen before?

I am baffled as to why all of you say there is no customer service?? I just signed up, read ALL the rules, had questions, sent an email, received answers and suggestions back within 5 minutes.
And you can't complain that they hold your money for 30 days when it says right there in the rule book that they have a weekly $2002 limit or else its held of r30 days. If you would like an increase, just email them asking for the forms (as I did) and got them again within 5 minutes.

As long as you are informed (ie inform yourselves) there should be no surprises. Good luck!

PROBLEM: I hate Square because of how they handle chargebacks.

First they send you an email and give you 15 days to respond.
To make matters worse, they don't even tell you the cardholders name so you don't know who's charging you back.
It's not like you can call Square because they don't have offer phone support, so your only option is to respond to the email and ask them who it was.
Next thing you know, the deadline has expired and you're out of pocket, never even knowing who or why.

SOLUTION: I wish they would either call you or have the app inform you of a chargeback because I don't check my email everyday. They should also give you the cardholders name.

My company does next day funding. Our rates are lower that Squares as well. Give me a call and I'll give you more details. 1-877-288-0468.

The reason Square does not deposit the next day is because they aren't a processing company.

They promised to send the $5,000 that was swiped, I hope only figuritavely, am waiting for 60 days, but it is causing my business irreparable harm. However, I will wait and see and give them the benifit of doubt until then.  Iot is irregula, but when I did call them, they were curtious enough, except I am still very upset.

We are a medica training facility, working with doctors and nurses, and clinics, and it has giveneveryone a bad impressioon of my abilities and knowhow, for I am a consultant.  I can't imagine why this startup business would be considered "high-risk" as a cause to hold money for such an extended time.

But I will wait and see, like I said and for now, give them the benifit of doubt.

Dont count on it buddy! Im a trainer and small buisness operator. The promise(s) in txt from Square via e-mail of 30 days or 60 days of funds being released to linked bank account will not happen. In fact print out the agreement of in which they update frequently to keep adjusting new rules to protect there ponzi skeem. Then save your e-mails because as of right now that is in fact the breaching of contract on their part. Legitimately true. In fact they do also have clause in contract stating you will have to handle any issue through litigation in CALIFORNIA! Yeah in a hurry to run right over there right. Well if your familiar with any legal actions of litigations or contracts. Then if you are UNDER CONTRACT then you will have to handle it through the litigation in Cali. Unless the buisness is for family or personal use then your local city will hold the litigation. BUT without much more detail for protecting ALL others invovled in same situations or simular. The momment a contract is breached on the other party your actions have to be based on WHAT is NOTNOT in the agreement OR even some of which is even in the "printed" aggreement WITH date. A lawsuit of technical wording may be applied, breaching of contract on their part is the now action to make. Also the fact it does say something bout an attorney general not allowed is COMPLETELY FAULSE!!!! I know for a fact you or anyone seaking laws or rules of going about justice will QUICKLY findout what has to be done. I worked for years under and with one. This company certainly has a way with words and obviously other citizens money, but certainly isnt bullet proof. Please take heed and understand any action is positive action to help yourself and others as well with these problems or simular ones and protect any newly blinded customers that may be about to ruin there buisness, life or even families life because of said company. The Square.
