I recently realized that I was being billed $12.95 from MNI Credit Reporting on a monthly basis.  I have NEVER used an online reporting tool for my credit score.  Even scarier, there seems to be hundreds of complaints regarding this company throughout the web.  After calling them and being put on hold for over 30 minutes, I decided to try again with similar results.  It appears that this company steal your information, and then you can't reach them to cancel the billing.  If the charge is recurring your credit card company can not get your money back - they deem it as user negligence.  Proceed with MNI and FreeCreditReport.com with caution - They are a slippery group of thieves!

I also have a charge on my account but they WONT issue the  money back to me. I told them that it said i would be charge $1 and not $29.95. They said in FINE PRINT that it says since I viewed all 3 scores I can't get refunded. ITS [***]!

likewise, just discovered that i have been billed monthly by these jerks.  haven't been able to reach them yet by phone as it is the weekend, but believe me, I WILL.  the number given by my Credit Card Co. (where the charges are automatically appearing) is 1-866-883-3309.  having read these complaints, i will go directly to the Supervisor and the Fraud dept., (if they even have one). next I will call my credit card co. fraud unit, put the amount in dispute and advise them not to honor any further charges from this fraudulent company.  wiser now!  good luch to everyone, and hang tough!

I also was being billed 19.95 every month from Experian. I just contacted them at the number you provided. The phone was answered right away. The person who assisted me, Ann, was very polite and professional. She looked into the charges and told me who had filed them (someone I never heard of!). She promised to block any future charges and refund me all my money! Apparently, your complaints and postings have had a positive effect. Thank you!

Just because Experian was polite and helpful- you believe their story about someone else using your credit card, when Experian has all of the access and motive.  Their motive is that they are a big company and can get away with putting bogus charges on people's cards.  Wake up!  File a complain against Experian with the FTC.

This is what happened to me and I never, I said NEVER requested a credit report from any of these companies.

They also charged my account 3 times in the same month using the number of my new Check Card (got it 3 weeks ago), I just contacted my bank and requested a New Card and of course cancelled all these unauthorized transactions. I am not sure how they got my card information... but I got 2 unauthorized transactions from CREDITSCORE.com and 1 from FREECREDITSCORE.COM in the same month...

My bank said that they had many similar cases this month and these folks use others websites as well. They are having the same problems here, in the UK and many other places. They usually charge $14.95 and in most of the cases you never requested it.

All I know is that I will prosecute Them tomorrow!!!

    P.S.
I just checked the whois database for both domains and they all show the same info, summarizing, same owners:

Found a $14.95 charge on my CC bill from creditreport.com, although I have never heard of this company or ever signed up for credit monitoring.  Their customer service through 877-297-7790 was pleasant and efficient: including a transfer to an (Experian) supervisor the entire call took less than 10 minutes.  Similar to several other posters in this thread, the creditreport.com account was opened by someone with a completely different name who I've never heard of.  The customer service reps also told me of a second account with a different name but my same cc number opened on the same day.   They are reversing the charge and blocking both bogus accounts.  They cannot tell me how this happened.  (It may be that someone on the company is in on it, or, it may be that some outside scammer is exploiting this company just to check if the cc number is valid?)

Thank you for your post!   I noticed an unauthorized $14.95 charge from Experian on my credit card.  I called the number you provided and learned they have been charging me for 4 months.  They quickly reversed the charges and blocked the user from future charges on my account.  THANK YOU for posting!  :)

Hi I am having the same problem happening to me currently. I saw that I had two unauthorized charges and don't know whether to call my bank or experian. Did they request for your credit card information? because that is my only concern right now since I don't feel comfortable giving it to them

I just had the same thing happen as well. A $19.95 charge from Experian, via creditreport.com, with the number 1-877-297-7790.

The first time I called they asked my for my Debit Card# and/or Social Security #. At the time, because I saw this charge as fraudulent, I did NOT feel comfortable giving them my information, so I didn't.

Next day, I went to the bank and cancelled my card.

Called the # above the following day, and since I had already cancelled my card at my bank I didn't feel weird giving them a canceled card to reverse the charges. The woman I spoke to was super pleasant, and told me that the charge was made by someone with a different name than me. Whole experience took about 10 mins. Still glad I canceled my card though.

Weird thing is that I HAD run a free credit report recently, and was VERY careful not to sign up for anything with recurring charges. Overall a very bizarre, and pain in the tush, experience.

Make sure you check your bank statements regularly, because I had the same problem. I had 2 accounts opened thur creditreport.com, 1 under someone named Steven (no last name) and another one for a Valanchaz (no last name), called and they reimbursed my account the 39.95 without question. That was in May, now March, I find another 19.95, called again, same niceness, no problem, account is "again" closed and reimbursing the money. I also called the bank before and had a new card number issured and the old card canceled, also the old card # expired 4/12 but the bank said they will keep (I guess pinging the account for a new expiration date). There should be someplace to complain to, how many accounts are being charged and not caught. To many "accounts opened" under people's names that don't exist.

Sometime in May, I had my World of Warcraft Account hacked.  On the same day, I had 3 authorization attempts to start new trial accounts using my card which were rejected because they did not have my 3 digit pin.  I went through the motions and had my debit card replaced.  My NEW card issued to me in June was charged on 06/17/2011 two charges appeared without authorization.

    Experian *FreeCreds 877-300-2507 CA  $14.95
    Experian *CreditRep 877-297-7790 CA  $14.95

I contacted my bank and let them know.  Since I had a few small charges pending for legitimate usage, I left the card open until they cleared but made my bank aware.

I called the 877 number at the top and was informed that someone with a different name than me ordered this credit service on my OLD card.  Then they told me that my bank (wellsfargo) provided them with the updated information!  They also agreed to return my money with 5-7 days.

I called my bank back.  They flatly refused that this information was ever updated.  Now that this has all occured, I think I need to follow some advice and never use my debit card online again.  I am going to start a savings account and place just the amount I need into it when I order something.

I just found out I was charged 14.95 fee for Experian Report and I have no idea how that fee appears on my bank statement. I just called the bank to issue me the new card as I believed the card number has been compromised. How could this keep on happening while the company is still allowed to do business?

I just found 2 19.95 bills, one on July 22 and the next on July 23 from these [***]! I have never requested their services. When I called asking why I was billed, they wanted my credit card number! Can you believe that you have to defend yourself against fraudulent billings from a Credit Reporting Bureau? What crooks!

MNI Credit Report Monitoring complaint - Fraudulent Charge

Seemingly it's business as usual. Playing for time, brushing off, other people's fault, check again, etc. I bet many people don't even notice that you've charged them. It's a very lucrative business!

Now, it's up to you: You immediately credit me with USD 20 or
I promise to give you hell! Making former complaint to the State Attorney General, DA., Consumer Protection Agency, BBB - to start with.
If that is worthed to you those $20 - so be it! And let's have some FUN!
