CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

My wife and I booked tickets but had to cancel due to medical reasons.  We called them in November and they double charged us and immediately refunded the second charge on the same day as the first charges.  So far it's been 3 months and they still haven't given us our refund balance and they're making up stories about why we need to wait.  They first said to wait 3 months (that was in November).  Now we called again and they said it'll take anywhere between 8-10 more weeks.   I'm pretty fed up with this.

Yes, I also agree.  Cheapoair posts ads on the Internet far lower than any fare that is available.  I cannot trust a company the acts so dishonestly!

I'm so glad I read this forum before I book. I was about to buy $5000+ worth of air tickets from Cheapoair. They are a few hundred dollars less than others but now I'd rather pay a little more just to be safe.

    Ben...
Here is the problem... It is very hard to do business through the internet. Nowadays, doing business through online is tough because a lot of scam going on... First, you won't see the real person you are talking to for booking, secondly, how did you know if they will process or send your confirmation after sending your credit card number...Does it sounds scary? Yes it is a lot of scam going on through online so let's be careful...

    Thanks for reading.

Everything that has a good comment here it means that these are just the employees that work on this cheapoair company so to those who got fooled already do not believe them. Don't take chances.

THANK ALL OF YOU!!! I just purchased an ticket to Argentina using cheap0air and they didn't send me an e-mail confirmation immediately. I found this VERY strange since I ALWAYS purchase my tickets online and IMMEDIATELY receive an e-mail confirmation. Becoming worried I google'd them and came across this site and in terror called my bank immediately blocked the transaction from taking place AND canceled the card I used for the transaction. Now I have to wait another week to buy my ticket because I'm waiting for a replacement card in the mail but all and all MUCH better than losing out on $900.

katie, I've bought from them many times and sometimes my etkt confirmation comes right away, sometimes it's delayed, but I have always gotten it and had no worries.  There are many factors to think about, what if you mispelled your email address, is that the fault of CheapO, so basically it's not going to get to you. What if they are extremely busy and have not gotten to your reservation yet? you receive two emails from this company first one acknowledgement you booked, second is the actual ticket receipt.  It's amazing that people have issues, and I have used them for several years and not one problem. Theres always two sides to every story!

Cheapoair charged my credit card, however the wrong name was on my plane ticket.  They had David David as my name.  My email is davidmayfield@verizon.net

Hi what ended up happening wth this? We bought 3 tickets through cheapoair and EVERY ticket had the wrong name. Any hopes for getting a refund? We weren't able to fly and were 1,000 out.

I purchased a CheapOAir flight from Belize City to Miami 5/2/2011. When the ticket printed it said non-refundable. Since I was leaving the next day from SFO to belize and no longer had internet service I had to wait until I arrived to deal with these [***]. I spoke with a Grayson Foster (go ahead and sue me you prick!) and was given the run around--we finally agreed to me paying a $25 dollar cancellation fee in exchange for an open ended ticket out good until Feb 2012. Of course to activate it I would have to pay another $150 bucks to the brown eye of business, CheapOAir! I said OK--print me a new ticket that says it is good until Feb providing I pay the $150 when I am ready to use it. Grayson disappeared at that point--he's probably hiding in a drawer full of well worn women's panties---to dispute the charge with the bank they have to cancel my card and issue a new one--I LIVE IN BELIZE--that ain't happening! So the homo rectums as opposed to homo sapiens at Scam Airlines got away with another one. I run into you Grayson and I will really (not fictitiously like in Hancock) stick your head in your own ass! DO NOT EVER USE CHEAPOAIR!!!!!! David Hayden

    Hi guys,
I'm very suprised to read this kind of negative feedback about CheapOAir.
I have purchased two tickets thru them, Toronto-Paris-Belgrade and back for my wife and myself in Oct-Nov.2010. Everything went just smuth, no problems
    of any kind.
Now I have to go back again and I'm just about to buy tickets, but, you really scared me off with your comments?!

BTW, I'm not an employee of the CheapOAir, lol, I'm a computer consultant.

I booked two round trip tickets to Bangkok with cheap o "$1100+ per" and my confirmation e mail I received had dropped a letter from my last name. Marin instead of Martin. I called to inform them of there error and after being on hold for 25 min I was told they can not change the name with e tickets. I called the airline directly and they said it's not a name change it's a miss spelling. American Airlines helped me, otherwise they were going to keep my $1100 bucks and I was going to have to go to New Delhi and kick some butts. Yes I spent more than 2 hours total on hold, two disconnects and someone that needed to learn how to speak english. It was a nightmare. Never again regardless of the low price.
