CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

    Christina,  I have forwarded an email to you responding to the feedback you sent to us today.  Still awaiting the confirmation number so I can research further into what has transpired.  I am really sorry for the long hold delays, we have been experiencing heavy call volumes due to our latest ad campaign.

      It seems you had all the opportunity to prove your self with this customer. Now that she has aired her dirty laundry with your company; now you wish to reconcile....thats weak buddy.

      Customer service is the benchmark of all companies; you obviously FAILED!!

        I book my flight with cheapoair but was unable to make my flight that day , and i tried changing my flight date. I been turs arround and no one whant to help me. They just want to take my $1000. ticket. all I want is to rebook to fligh another date. Please help. No one should by a ticket from this company.

        i gonna tell everybody dont use this nasty cheapoair to make any reservation by phone .
        they refuse for ridiculois and stupid excuses to fix my name for simple wrong latter the costumer services tell me AMERICAN AERLINES gonna fix they already send this email to then .
        I call THE AIRLINES make sure they do,nothing was there cheapoair never send anything to then
        his costumer services maybe was training to make money dont matter about some respect and decent way to do busisnes ,i never again use this .........they only trae hard to hold you reservation till you cancelation time with no charge is over and you lost you money.
        we gonna send complaint to the BBB BUT YOU KNOW WHAT??///

        Honey.... THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS!  Just future travel tickets LESS THAN what u paid, along with cancellation fees, rebook fees.... CHEAPO IS A DAMN SCAM!

      I had a similar experience with this provider as well.  I purchased and PAID for my tickets then recieved an email about 45 minutes later stating that the ticket price I had purchased was no longer available and I would need to pay and additional $400 to purchase these tickets. I told them to cancel any and all reservations and to verify in writing that my credit card would not be charged for any of this.  DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! THEY ARE A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!!

      Your company reversed our names on our tickets and refused to fix their error which caused us to have difficulty with TSA at Anchorage, Alaska airport (Alaskan Airlines). I will never use Cheap Air again,,

        JIm, very sorry for the inconvenience. But our website does not modify any information that is loaded into our system at the time of booking, including switching names around. It's all automated and no one physically touches a customer's reservation. Errors do occur and if you would of notified us immediately after the booking was done, we would of fixed it for you, preventing difficulty at the airport.

          that is false.  I spent three hours on the phone today trying to add my middle name to the ticket so it matches my passport. My flight is in 3 weeks and they claimed they could not change the name.  After crying and refusing to accept a simple no ( after 3 reps and 1 supervisor)  they advise me that maybe the waiver department could do something at a cost of course on their end and the end of the airlines. I have not had a vacation in years after working 2 jobs and they just think that no sorry would be acceptable.  Lets see if I get a reply and one that is satisfactory to me,

            I am in the same situation! I've been on the phone to countless reps trying to fix the name on my booking. Somehow they managed to not only get both names, but also gender wrong with the airline? I eventually got an email from the Waiver department who gave me the same "speak to your airline" response. I've spoken with the airline, and they said a simple name change is available if requested from Cheapoair ....
            Don't use this company. I'm now down $1000s and have 2x tickets we cannot use.

      Chrisrina i am on hold and dealing with the same same situation as you, My mom and sister are stuck in amman jordan it turned out they never gave us a flight BACK only a flight there, even tho our booking reservation said that we had a roundtrip for 2! This is my third hold each 1 hour long. it is 430 AM where my mother and sister are stuck and they have no idea how theyre getting home now.

      NOBODY BOOK CHEAPOAIR!!!!! ITS A SCAM!!!!! and theyre now trying to blame the airlines for it and making me pay an extra 750 to fly them back

      on hold as we speak lets hope they can give my family a flight home wish me luck!

      Hey I book flight since April 28 which number is 27578927 and I suppose to be leaving on 20 of October but I have emergency and I am tight financially but I was told that the change fee is 135$ plus the difference price between the old ticket and new one but I realized that the price they give is too high because I want make change from December 28 to January 29 it's there any you can to help me I look online and look the ticket and it 1177$ thank

      I endorse the statement from the aggrieved customer, Christina. I am starting to get the feeling that this Company is perpetuating some scams. I have a similar experience, I am still awaiting my refund after 5 months for an air ticket that I bought and for which the airline informed me at the very last minute would be delayed by a day. I refused to accept the delay as it would negate the purpose of my traveling, I had to buy another ticket for 300 dollars more from another agency and I asked that I should be refunded my payment. Five months and several phone calls and e-mails after, Cheapoair continues to give me ridiculous excuses and has not refunded my money. Sometimes I spend up to 30 minutes on the phone trying to get this sorted out, but I get transferred from one department to another with no one wanting to take responsibility until the call eventually gets disconnected. This is really appalling. It stinks

      What exactly is CHEAPO AIRS business model? Anyone know? Other than their marketing? How are they so CHEAP? I have often compared and it is not the case at all.
