CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

    It is my first time booking through Cheapoair,

    - I am still on hold (27 min) still on my first call ever to cheapoair.

    - I was trying to choose a seat online. Message says that my booking reservation is not complete yet and if the price increases within the confirmation time. I will have the right to cancel booking (I hope it FREE). But the issue here is that I think Cheapoair hold customers reservation and money and in case of a price increase they sell the ticket to higher bidders. I am as a customer is the victim of your illegal practice of " Confirming the reservation"

    its a win win situation for Cheapoair, and dooming experience for the customer

    Cheapoair is NOT cheap either after all, Cheapoair can offer $10-$50 less than others but with the bidding practice, that's only a small cut

    35 minutes and I am still on hold, Hire more employees for sure as a start

    CHEAPOAIR is a deceitful and untrustworthy copmany. Those of you who say you've dealt with them in the past without problems are fortunate to say the least. When there are a large number of people who have been treated unfairly, you have to ask yourself: when will the time come when they f**k up my travel arrangements and refuse to accept responsibility? Hopefully its not when you are desperately trying to get to the other side of the globe to see a ill relative, because thats exactly what CheapOAir did to me...left me AT THE AIRPORT 4 hours before my flight was meant to leave with no ticket, simply saying that they were sorry but not willing to fix their mistake unless i paid $200US extra.

    Something is not right with this company.  My mother booked a flight through them and was charged $677 for a flight to Florida.  After processing the reservation (they now have her Credit card information) she was told there is a $14 charge to pick her seat.  An extra charge to pick your seat?

    I've never heard of this practice.  When asked to be re-directed to the United States, the representative in India told her there is no U.S contact-- nobody to talk to, just a NY City address. I think this company is running a scam.  Reading all the comments, I am convinced these folks are a running a scam.  I wonder how many people paid far a coach seat and full fare...

      Many airlines are now charging to select pre-assign seats, we offer that service as well. If she was charged for a seat, please forward the booking number to our customer care team, and we will cancel the service. Our email is sm@cheapoair.com place blog in the subject line.     Look at how many pages of complaints there are just at this one site! more than 30 pages! I would sound like a broken record to lodge my complaint. They lied to me from the start, they had me on hold for over 30 minutes on 3 different occaisions.
    They charged me more for an isle seat that i never got, said to get my refund from blah blah blah! but blah blah blah doesn't
    exist so good luck getting any refund. they wont give you a number in the U.S. I heard a guy giggling as he put his hand over
    his headset when I complained about being put on hold for 35 mins.

    They are a scam! they're damn good at it, it's partially our fault for falling for them. but I too saw them reccomended by
    other travel sites so i didn't look for customer complaints first. My mistake!

    After 2 hours of phone calls they give me a NY phone number they say is corporate customer service. I called it and guess what?
    It went to INDIA again.
    How many cheeks did Jesus say to turn and get slapped? I forgot.,,,,,

    I got this outta some dirt floor dwelling [***] but I fully expect it to be a hot dog stand in Times Square.

It's hard to determine what you were lied to about, who we told you go to for a seat refund, and not sure how we sent you a virus, when you are  the first person who has mentioned this, and we sell thousands of tickets a day, and send thousands of emails.     My first message: I am very angry at CheapOair my booking number is 30082404. I went to Delta this morning and they couldn't find my flight, turns out they booked me a flight in which was cancelled months ago and never notified me. I was suppose to go to Vietnam for a wedding and I have flights and cruises booked already there. The agent that helped me was courteous and wasn't her fault that she couldn't help me. But the only thing they could offer me was a refund and to help me find a "cheaper" flight as a replacement. I originally booked this flight back in September for 1200 now this cheaper flight will cost me 2700. I accepted earlier this morning because I wasnt thinking straight and was afraid. Now I just cancelled this flight, because why should I have to repay this penalty for a mistake that was not my fault? I am going to call CheapOair and demand they help me with another flight. This is NOT quality customer service.

    CheapOair.com Jeff, we are very sorry to hear of your inconvenience,. we will arrange for an agent to contact you for further assistance.

    After about 5-6 phones calls and then contacting the airlines 3-4 times each.

    I've called you about 5-6 times each time a getting on hold and then reconnected to another agent or being hung up/disconnected on my final two calls I talked to supervisors that tell me they can't do anything but told me call the airlines to get them to offer me reprotection. It is not your agents fault but YOU are my travel agent I am going to call again and it is your responsibility to get me another flight I booked though cheapoair i had no warning any of this was going to happen I have every email from you that this flight was confirmed. I don't care who's miscommunication it was yours/ or the airlines but I have been the one suffering being stuck here unable to get on my trip which I had book a few thousand dollars of events and flights in Vietnam that I am now losing/trying to recover due to an error from YOU. You need to be calling the airlines for my reprotection or get me another flight yourself it is your responsibility. I will be calling again today because I am pretty sure at this point none of your agents will be contacting me I have been getting runaround from you and the airlines the last 24 hours if I don't get resolution today I will be contacting an attorney.

    This company completely ruined my holiday and in the end said they are not willing to help me except process a refund. That hasn't hit my account yet though it only has been 24 hours. But I was planning a trip with Girlfriend in Vietnam and I was planning on proposing to all except now. She is in Vietnam as she made it there a week earlier and i am stuck in the states.

    Please do not ever consider booking with this agency. These foreign born crooks are in the business of electronic theft. The comment about the buzz words that prompt a disconnect is very accurate. I will post a comment as often as I am able to do so.

    unexpectedly i was payed my booking today..but i didnt recieve any confirmation number or any confirmation email.they got my money 400 dollar directly and my bank also fail to get back that transaction.so beaware about this scam site.

    I have booked ticket using cheapoair and  they have written in their website that they will do price protection /match for 24hours. And also they said that ticket can be cancelled at no obligation with in same day. I checked with Expedia and there is a $100 price drop on each tkt.  Now cheapoair says they could not honor the policy and they said they cannot do refund.
    BIG CHEATERS and LIERS . SHOULD NEVER NEVER NEVER USE their service. I am wondering any way to do a legal action against their fraud? whom we can complain?

      Spice, there must a another reason why you don't qualify for the price drop. If it is within 24 hours of making the reservation and it's  the same airline, flights, dates and times this falls under the policy. If for some reason we cannot price match because the seats are no longer available for us to book. You are entitled to a refund. The seats do have to be available to sell because we must cancel out your old booking and rebook for the new fare. We don't just credit your card the difference.

    Cheapoair needs to have a class action suit for false advertising, hidden charges, wanted a reservation and they booked my ticket., just awful. Have a handmade bumper sticker made that says cheapoair.sucks.  Won't use them again. Only 15 lbs on luggage and they charge and have a over 12 hour layover; booked over two months in advance.  They advertised a price and then said it wasn't available. A $187 ticket ended up being almost $400 (lots of extra fee's). Talked with an agent and they said Frontier worst they don't recommend and yet that was Airline.  I got suckered.
