CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

Never in all my year of travel had I had a bad experience until I booked with this company. I booked a flight to South America and I was happy to have found 3 fares for a trip that was close at hand. The next day when I checked my e-mail, I had received an aplogy from them that there had been a mistake and that my booking had been cancelled as the flight had been full. I moved on and was lucky to find other fares with another company. A few days later Chepoair had put the charge through. When I called them, they said that the e-mail had been sent in error and that I had to absorb a hefty cancellation fee to cancel. I explained to them that I already booked and paid with another company based on the e-mail I had received.

They refused to cancel the transaction even after I forwarded the e-mail that they had sent me. I called my credit card company, but as the charge had been put through I had to file a claim. After calling Cheapo air and informing that I had started a claim and also threatening to contact the Better Business Bureau, they relented - although I was never passed on to a manager as I requested. For several days after that I was harassed by phone calls from the woman that had booked my flights. It really was a nightmare as I see it was for other people on this web site.

this is not good practice of the U.S.A...you MUST get in touch w/the Attorney General's Office...These Forums, Complaints don't do good unless we all put a call or Email the Department about these Scams...that's the problem..we must take action & either get a Class Action Suit going or put them completely out of Business.  I work in Legal & it's a LOT of work to put things in Action...trust me..it pays off at the end...you feel you've contributed something good to Society...Please help protect our Country from all this otherwise as Democratic Consumers, we'll be taken over...

    good luck!

CALL SAS airline directly...tell them you'll expose them.  Tell them you'll approach the local News Networks...Networks WILL expose stuff like this because they sometimes have extra minutes that need to be filled when there's not enough news that nite.  Contact Consumer Advocates...Must take action guys...we will WIN if we do it together...this is United States of America...let's keep it that way...

CheapoAir is a total rip-off. They get you any combination of tickets that might get you to your destination. They don't tell you that none of them are CONNECTING flights. They are just separate tickets. So, if the first leg of the flight is late for any reason and that causes you to miss the second (transfer) flight, you are screwed. You are completely stranded at that airport. And neither the first airline nor the second airline is responsible for you not getting to your final destination. You have to buy another ticket out of that airport. They know this is fraudulent and they do it anyway. And you cant get your money back because they purchased the tickets for you with your credit card number. And if you call them you are placed on hold for HOURS. And they barely speak English. How can companies like this be allowed to stay in business. NEVER USE CHEAPOAIR FOR ANYTHING. THEY ARE THIEVES!!!

I was just gonna book a flight over cheapoair for my wife to Africa for our Honeymoon. The number of sites online confirming the Cheapoair's scam is scary. "Its true cheap things are really expensive!" i am now gonna deal with the airlines directly.

    BUYER BEWARE WITH CHEAPOAIR
I had purchased a couple of roundtrip airfare tickets. The flight was cancelled and Cheapoair failed to notify me. When questioned about the lack of communication, they said that they were not obligated to notify me and it was up to the airline. To make a long story short, I had to file a complaint with the California Attorney's General's Office before they would refund the airline tax which was $264. It like purchasing an item from your local store, not getting a refund on the tax.  HOW RIDICULOUS!!!! BUY FROM CHEAPOAIR AND YOU MAY BE SORRY!!!!!!!
