CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

    I booked two round trip tickets to Bangkok with cheap o "$1100+ per" and my confirmation e mail I received had dropped a letter from my last name. Marin instead of Martin. I called to inform them of there error and after being on hold for 25 min I was told they can not change the name with e tickets. I called the airline directly and they said it's not a name change it's a miss spelling. American Airlines helped me, otherwise they were going to keep my $1100 bucks and I was going to have to go to New Delhi and kick some butts. Yes I spent more than 2 hours total on hold, two disconnects and someone that needed to learn how to speak english. It was a nightmare. Never again regardless of the low price.

    Just an update on my ticket from Belize city to Miami. A corporate shill named Renee emailed me with many reasons why I was a fault and seemed confused---probably banging the boss and can't do two things at once--I told her shame on me for buying a ticket from them in the first place and shame on her for working for them--period! CheapOAir stole $445 from me and they got away with it--that American Airlines and other carriers allow these fly-by-night outfits to book for them thus displacing responsibility and blame is unforgivable. All from me--If in the future I have the opportunity to put them out of business I'll be all over that like that rash on Renee's perception of fair trade and flight! David Hayden

    Dear Mr. Hayden, I have tried the phone number you have provided in your previous email so that we can discuss the BLOG POSTING you have submitted, however, the phone number rings to a fax machine. In order to better assist you, I need to actually know what it is you are trying to do, so I can find the best solution for you. I would like to point out that the tickets cannot be extended outside one year from the original issue date,  that is not a CheapOair policy, but an airline policy. So the original ticket you bought for travel May 2, can be canceled and travel completed upto Feb 19, 2012 to use the credit. Now if you want a ticket for next year July  2012, you have to wait 11 months our before that can be purchased, the airlines do not have schedules that far out. Please contact me at 866-636-9088 ext 9600 or email me if that is convenient. I would like to discuss a satisfactory resolution, as well as removing the posting from wwww.complaintwire,com.  Regards, Renee CheapOair

    In order to assist anyone further with their concerns, it is important that I have your names, and the 7 digit booking number.  I can't help you if no one gives out this information.  I would think if you are posting complaints you would want someone else, looking into this matter.

      booking 36044622 purchased 2 tickets phoenix - newark and back paid for seats 7b and 7c same for return   left on 8/25 at 8.39 am with AA RETURNED  9/12 AT 4.40PM ON RETURN FLIGHT WE DID NOT GET THE SEATS I PURCHASED I TRIED 3 TIMES TO GET SOME ANSWER LAST WAS ON 10/7  THE ANSWER WAS"SOMEONE FROM THE MGT WILL CONTACT YOU IN 24 HOURS,OH YES MANY 24 HOURS ARE GONE NOBODY CALLED WHAT A SCAM USE AIRLINES DIRECTLY COMPANY LIKE THI ONE ARE DANGEROUS FOR UNPROTECTED CONSUMER THEY JUST DONT CARE ONCE THEY GET THE MONEY!!!!!

    For years I have used the internet to book flights. My daughter and I needed to meet in Texas for a family need. So I book my flight through Delta and found a cheap flight for her out of Ft Walton Florida.
    Wow we are ready to go I thought. The next morning I got up and found email that there had been problem issuing my ticket. Called and called, telling me nothing but they are a scam. They asked me to call a number and push 2 which is rebooking and pay 289.00 for another flight.
    What it is is they are booking a flight that lands but does not land 45 min before the connecting flight take off. This means they claim this is an illegal flight and can not print the ticket.
    But they offered me the same ticket again at the higher price. Sounds like a scam to me.
    They can tell me O I am sorry, but you can just tell my daughter this when she gets off the bus after 36 hours.

    "THIS IS A SCAM" cheapoair shows really great prices and we book they just book something wrong. And when you ask about it they just ask you to cancel it start with a new reservation. They say the cancellation charges of $100 and insist of starting a new booking at much higher rates. And also they threaten you saying if you end this call and call back again the cancellation charges are not going to be the same.

    We Fly from Des Moines to Fort Myers and never had a problem with Cheapoair. We have saved money going this route

    Renee Andrews has been trying to resolve out disputes. She alleges, and I agree, that I was perhaps a bit too descriptive and harsh in my earlier emails. My frustration level of course is still through the roof but she seems like a nice enough person--I had no idea that Grayson Foster was her boss and of course when you figure that it is over anyway, why not take some shots? So I will keep you all posted--Renee says that she will have the situation remedied to both of our satisfactions--if so--I will be the first to apologize--if not, here we go again!

    I booked two flights with cheapoair,one for myself and one for my son,i told them my son had adhd and might be admitted to the hospital,soooo i took out insurance,when my son ran away a few days before we left,i called and cancelled then called the insurance to get a refund,they told me they cannot give me a refund,i lost all my money!keep in mind that i explained my son sickness before i purchased the tickets,and was told i will be refunded.its been six months and i still have,nt been refunded my hotel fee that i cancelled two days after i booked it.that is just two of the three horrible things that happened to me with cheapoair! i will sue them!

    When your attorney file the class action suit about Cheaponair the I wish to joint. I have taken 2 sleeping pills after taking with their Customer service.

    Just because some one has never encountered a problem with this company doesn't mean we work for it.  Whenever I book online I double check and triple check that moment to make sure everything is ok.  I make sure  I SPELL MY NAME RIGHT, AND THAT THE FLIGHTS ARE WHAT I WANTED. Checking immediately helps, and not waiting 2 weeks later and wonder why it will cost more money to fix.

    Just returned from a month in Portugal. Flight booked thru cheapOair was the only trouble free part of the trip. way to go cheapOair!!!

    This company is a fraud.  They accept your credit card information online, but do not actually confirm your flight.  If you try to pre-board (yes I waited for the 24 hours before) you will not have a reservation with the airline.  You are told your reservation is lost and your flight is not confirmed.  So, thinking you have no flight you re-book with a conventional carrier (to avoid this crap) ... but then you later get an email saying that indeed you DO have e-tickets and your account has been charged!  If you call Cheapoair they will act like you will not be charged (because of the booking error) and then put you on telephone-hold indefinitely.  Your only recourse is to dispute the charge with your credit card company.  DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.
