CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

    They are bad bad badddddddd, I can not express how sad and angry I am since I felt that I am dealing with thieves or gangsters.
    I booked by ticket and cancelled it, so they told me (after two hours waiting on the phone) that they are going to refund me with $1054, but they will take in advance $250 penalty then they will refund me the $1054 after two to four weeks, ... after waiting more than 2 weeks they refund me just $800.
    I am trying to contact them to ask but nobody answer the phone (more than 3 hours yet).
    I am working very hard to get my money, and those thieves get my money easily.
    Please re-think so many time before even touch this company.
    I will try to explain my situation to the credit card company or to the lower to help me.

    I purchased a ticket through them thinking I'd save myself about $40 but it WAS NOT worth it because now they are trying to change my flights and I basically lose a day on both ends of my trip!  I planned it out so I get in early so that I would have the full day and leave late on the day I leave so that again, I would have a whole day.  It makes no sense paying for an all inclusive for 5 days when you will be traveling for the 2 out of the 5 days...ridiculous!  I am not happy and they will hear from me.  Is there legal action you can take against this?

    Lied to me, costing money and refuse to reimburse for their admitted mistakes !!!

    Class action lawsuit anyone?

    I was going to book a flight by cheapoair but after reading this I changed my mind. thanks for the posts. will book directly to the airlines website.

    I booked a roundtrip flight, LAX -> JFK last night. It was late, I was half-asleep from a busy day, but recall entering payment information and even choosing my seats. Also got a pending charge on my credit card. So thought I was set and zonked out.

    Next day (today), I checked my account, and it said I had no booking. I double-checked and saw that I did copy the itinerary they gave me. I called one number, and the guy who answered told me the flight is sold out and I don't have any booking. I told him I have a charge on my card. He told me the charge should only be $1. I told him it was the full amount, and asked what happeend and if I still had the flight because I had already made accommodation plans and work itinerary for the trip. He hung up on me. I did give him my phone number so I knew it wasn't a dropped call because he never called back.

    Tried a different COA number. The lady pretty much said the same thing, was a little bit nicer, but just told me to call Virgin myself. I called them, and it looked like I didn't have a booking. After spending a while on the phone with me, however, they saw that I still had a booking and resent me the confirmation email and #.

    Next time I see a deal on COA, I'm calling the airline directly, cause what's the point? I almost got charged on my card and assumed I didn't have the flight.

    CheapOAir run by cheap and filthy bloddy buggers to steal the money from people. I have booked a ticket to india on mar 5 and for some unexpected reasons i was not able to go. I wanted to cancel the ticket and tried to contact the customer service from mar 13 and i finally got in touch with them on march 22 after being on hold for 1 hr or so..Such a stupid customer service. When ever tried to chat with the online representative as i couldnt get in contact with them on phone...it was only one person "ARON" and that idiot along with few other stupids doesnt even know whats the meaning of customer service. Finally after getting irritated so much....so stupid called "myles" talked to me and said that they would charge $50 to cancel and keep the amount as future credit and can rebook only with them by paying $250. Just asked me to send a mail saying tht i agree. I thought that ticket got cancelled and as busy with job. April 9 I just saw the status of my ticket in the airline website and saw that its still active and then tried to call cheapoair and those bloddy [***] never responded..Finally called United airlines and told them the situation and got cancelled. My travel date is april 17 and it I would have seen the ticket being active...I would lost my money. Just thought of ignoring cheapoair....I am sad that they are from INDIA where i belong to....but i wish to give a police complaint...stupids they tested my patience ...

    Swathi, I am sorry for your inconvenience.  It looks to me like you never agreed to the $50.00 cancel fee, and the terms of rebooking at a later date, which included the exchange fee of $250.00 paid to United airlines. So that would be the reason why the booking was never canceled.  An authorization on your part is needed prior to any cancellations are completed. The rebooking fee of $250.00, that is an airline policy and charge, not CheapOair.com.  Perhaps reviewing the terms and conditions on our website, as well as Uniteds, may shed some light on how exchanges are handled regarding airline tickets. These change fees are not imposed by the individual travel companies, but the airline themselves, and this is across the board for all agencies. As for the police report, not really sure what that has to do with anything.

    They advertise bogus flights.  You enter all your credit card info, name, phone number etc. then they say that the flight is not available.  This is really ridiculous.  I tried several more flights and they all came up with the same message.  Why advertise if they are not available.

    Ive been trying to call and confirm my flight reservations. I was told that my flight was booked and reserved. I then called back a later time because i have yet to receive my confirmation and yet again i was told that my ticket has to be confirmed with the actual airline. Well if i had to go through all this trouble then why is do i need this service. I have an ample amount of time before my flight on May 26, 2011. But trusted this company would give me the best deal so i wont plan a last minute trip. As of now i am so displeased with the customer services that i received today. I dont think i would ever use CheapOair again......

    I just want my reservation to follow through as planned, This company needs to understand that this is my money being circulated around. Had i known that receiving my ticket would take some time,  i would have never choose this company. But my biggest complaint is about the lack of customer service. This company has not reassured me that my flight is secure. The only thing i am being told is to wait wait wait. The only thing i want is for my reservation confirmation, seating arrangements and a secured spot. And that is what i thought i paid for.

    I think this company is a scam. I was lured in by the low fare, but I am on the phone to their "customer service" line after being hung up on twice, which I now think must be company policy to cover for the fact that this is not a real company.

    MY COMPLAINT WITH CHEAPO AIR IS THAT I BOOKED A FLIGHT I SAW LISTED AND TOOK ME WEEKS TO RESEARCH CAREFULY AS I SWA THEY HAD LISTED THE PRICE LOWER THAN OTHERS AND ALSO STATED CLEARLY " TAXES AND FEES INCLUDED IN PRICE LISTED.. BUT  NOW I REALIZE WHEN I GOT TO LOOK AT MY ITINTERARY I FLEW AND PAID ALREADY THAT  I PAID ALOT MORE . BECAUSE THE SCAME WAS TO DECIEVE  PEOPLE THAT  THE PRICE IPAID WAS TAXED INCLUDED SO I ENDED UP PAYING LIKE 150 DOLLLARS OR SO MORE THAN I REALIZED. THIS IS CORRUPT AND ILLEGAL. IWLL TAKE ACTION TO.

    I bought a roundtrip ticket from Tampa to South Korea and another from Maui to Tampa and didn't have any problems.

    Dear Customer, our fares are clearly marked included fees, EXCLUDES TAXES.  Once you select your flights, the next page will give you the complete break down of the base fare, plus the taxes, it appears this may of been over looked.  Before you enter your credit card details, you can exit from this page if you do not want to continue with the booking. The taxes are mandated by the airlines, and are added to the cost of the airline ticket, no matter with whom you buy from.

    Cheapoair is a rip off i never use them anymore don't waste your time, they changed and cancelled  my flight 2 days before flying to europe + had to wait 3 hour to talk with costumer service they are very low class not happy at all. i highly recommend dont't waste your money and your time???????
