CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

I've just booked 2 return flights IAD-LHR through Cheapoair and found the whole process a breeze, i'm happy that i saved over $700 by booking with them.
I recieved confirmation straight away through e-mail and was able to log straight on to Virgin and see my confirmed flights. The payment on my bank statement clearly shows it was made to Virgin.
I will definately use them again without hesitation.

    Hello all readers,
The cheapoair.ca has worse customer service. I bought two tickets from them and was told that they will price match the fare. I was glad to see the offer. The price dropped. I called them and got no  response. Eventually I got them but was on hold for long time and then the call dropped. I called them again after few days and made a request to the Supervisor. He tried to convince me that they match only Expedia. and if I see price drop, give them a call and they will do it for me. I checked Expedia and the price was dropped 100 dollars per ticket. When I called them again, I was told that the supervisor is not over there and he will call me within 12 hrs.
The supervisor called me after 15 hrs and he was very annoy with me that why I called them again. I requested for price match. The answer was negative. Then I asked for cancellation, I was told that I have to pay 270 dollars for the cancellation.
Some time I wonder that in this fast paced, educated environment how these people are running their business. May be they misguide new customers. I believe that those who had experience with this company will never return to them.
Could some one tell what is the best solution to deal with them? bcz they do not price match and asking 270 for cancellation
    Regards,
    Ahmad

Dear Ahmad, I would certainly like to look into this for you. Cheapoair does not price match after 24 hours, after that, the tickets become non refundable. Our low fare guarantee states if you find a lower fare within 4HOURS of booking, less any service fees, we will refund you upto $15.00 per person. There is nothing stated on our website that we price match companies like expedia, etc. Also, what consumers may not be aware is, if you find a lower fare later down the road, the airlines will charge you their exchange fee in order to get the fare difference, in most cases it's not worth paying the penalty rangeing from $50-150.00 to get a refund, if the refund amount is less than the exchange fee.  So there are rules pertaining to price match, or receiving a refund if the fare goes lower. I will certainly look into this for you, and also determine who the supervisor was that was suppose to contact you back. That is not acceptable, and it will be addressed.

There is nothing in any of thier contract that says no switching after 24hrs. as far as price matching!!

Most if not all of these (so called) remedied things are just "ringers" from cheapoair trying to keep people reading the compaint's that they work hard to rectify any wrong's. The complaint's are REAL! Nothing is ever refunded or changed, just charged more and NEVER any refunds given back. Charged for booking never made etc. charged more than what was stated or screwed your flights up.....they couldn't give a rip.
        this is the truth, people!

This is a scam outfit that seems to get away with this thieving from people.....I would suggest anyone who has looked at tickets through their site and input credit infor to emmediatly cancel your card and get a new one fast because sooner or later they will hit it and never give anything back...end!

Hello, Bundles of thanks for your prompt response. I did not talk about the website showing price match.Actually I was told by the supervisor that cheapoair.ca price match with Expedia (It is pertinent to mention that the person who called me after my request is seems to me was not the same person who did talked regarding Price match at the night time). The questions arise that Is it fair to ask 270 Dollars cancellation or date change fee? Is this your policy that the customers are bound to call you only once because the Supervisor insisted that why I called him again? If you say yes then I am not suppose to discuss it over here again.
    Regards,
    Ahmad

Ahmad, I do agree you should of gotten a call from the supervisor. But I also would like to point out that you called us 3 days after you made the reservation to request a price match. I did some calling around to other companies, they only price match within a few hours of the booking, not 3 days later.  You have to show proof of the lower fare on the other website, and it goes to a special department to verify it. Even if the supervisor called back within a few hours, it still is too late to offer a lower fare. Many travel companies and Cheapoair is one.  We have negotiated contracts with the airlines that are only obtainable to that company and is not considered published.  Therefore, it's not bookable through any other website or company, so it's not price matchable.Once 24 hours has passed from your booking date, all fees are applicable to cancel the booking for a full refund, or exchange fee that's the grace period given by all the airlines on a non refundable ticket. Fares are always subject to change, and on Feb 4 when you made the booking that was the lowest fare on the web.  Calling us back within 24 hours of your booking we could of canceled for you at no cost because of the grace period.  But Feb 7, was too late. We are still looking into what other option we have for you, but I thought you needed to be aware of the policies. It's like at your business, you have rules, and policies that you must go by to do your daily work, that's the same for us but we follow the airline rules.

It gives me an immense pleasure to inform prospective travellers and seniors of the organization (cheapoair.ca) that the issue was resolved in a professional way by Shaw, one of the specialists. He applied all tools of the effective-cross-cultural-communication (He listened properly, knew what to say and said well, showed loyalty to the organization and satisfied me) to convince me and took remedial steps to save my money by not cancelling the airline ticket. His offers are praiseworthy. Long story short he changed the departure and return dates. It is pertinent to mention that I paid no fee/fine for the aforementioned changes.
    Regards,
    Ahmad

    Hi everyone
I also have a complaint ! In my case they had answered really quick, however the price that I saw on the web, where it was written that they have 3 more tickets , they've told me that this price has gone and the new price for the same ticket is 180$ more then I saw on their website. So I refreshed my page and still had the lower price then they were talking about as a minimal one. They had nothing to answer on this issue, but "I'm sorry, this is the lowest price that we have" (which was way above the price that I saw on their website).

I also had trouble with Cheap airline, they will offer a price that they can not give you and it appears that after you purchase the ticket its hard to complain because they just put you on hold for hours and the customer service is horrible, I bought a ticket from them because I saw a good price on their web site to go to the Philippines...I did not get that price and I was upset....I called and was not successful in resolving this matter even after I talked to a supervisor, I was continually put on hold and finally disconnected. I do lots of flying and I have never had any problems with a airline, I fly to different countries and I pay lots of money on airline tickets and this is the first time that I have ever dealt with this kind of fraud....please do not use this airline, I feel like its a fraud. I bought my ticket from a agent over the telephone and he charged me a different price that what was on their site and I was unable to correct it because he had already charged my credit card.

I think I will check with the federal authorities to see what are my legal rights and see if I can file fraud on the criminal level or is this just a civil matter because this is definitely illegal what this air line is doing...I ask that anyone else with this type of issues to please leave a blog here and maybe it will make a difference.

Agnes, very sorry for your inconvenience with the long hold times, I hope that you where able to reach us. In regards to the $11.95 charge, that has nothing to do with which appears to be a schedule change that has taken place on your United airlines flights.  The $11.95 is called traveler assist, and if you didn't uncheck the box to decline it, it was added to the cost of the trip. This is for special assistance needed while on your trip, as well as being able to chose your seats prior to departure.  So if you didn't decline it, that is the reason for the charge. If you still need assistance with getting it refunded, please email us at feedback@cheapoair.com your booking number, and we will certainly refund the charge.

Cheapair is a scam. My ticket was canceled so  I called the airline and they told ne that cheapoair has to refund the ticket. after 30 minutes of hold i finally got the chance to speak with someone then he put me on hold for 45 minutes i gave up and hung up the phone. The next day i called and they transferred me to one  supervisor  in "India " hardly spoke English. Anyways so I as I was explaining the situation the call was dropped called back an hour later after 20 minutes hold I was transfered to a different supervisor this time didn't get the last name but first name was "holmes" or "hum" anyhow he wasn't working that shift so I asked if I can talk to some one else who can help and was told that two people cannot work on the same case? Really? Give me a break. I tried to file a complaint with corporate office, I can't find a working number, somebody from the company posts these  numbers online 1866 566 2345 and 212 478 0335 they transfer you back to India. Horrible service and  useless employees. Do not use this service
