CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

Did you read the terms and conditions, it does say there is a service fee for all transactions.  Also, when you booked this, didn't you see the total on your receipt, and I do believe you have to agree to Terms and conditions and click the authorization box.  You may want to revisit this.

I unfortunately did not research the company before I brought a ticket from them and now am stuck in a conumdrum. My visa expires before my ticket, I thought I had booked an earlier flight and now they are charging me 800 dollars to change the flight. Apparently half of it is the airline fee but when I called the airline they said they'd only charge 100. I will never use this company again.

I see a lot of complaints about this website, and researching others (travelocity, orbitz, priceline, etc...) it is amazing that they have just as many of the same exact complaints.  Personally I don't think people are reading the terms of agreement, or reviewing all fees prior to clicking purchase.  Cheapoair gave me the best deal, and the exact flight I wanted flying my girlfriend from Okinawa, Japan to Los Angeles (Score 1 point).  Because I purchased the ticket and the traveler's name was different, they had me call to verify it was not a fraudulent purchase (Score 2 points). The wait for a rep was long, but not unreasonable compared to calling any other customer service.  It has been about 30 mins since I purchased and I went straight to United Airlines website to see if the reservation is in their system.  Sure enough it is, the exact flights and times (Score another point!)  Also, since I am aware of airline alliances, I chose ANA and United, since they are both part of Star Alliance and will transfer the bags and give boarding passes from Okinawa to the USA.  A flight I've made many times myself.  If for some odd reason something changes, I will update my response on here.  If some of you believe I work for the company, I would be more than happy to talk offline, call so you can hear my American voice or whatever.  I work for the US Marine Corps, was stationed in Okinawa and know my way around the travel system and how to READ AND UNDERSTAND terms and conditions.

That sounds like it was your error and you even said you "thought" you booked an earlier flight.  Before you click accept on anything, double and triple check what you are buying.  Or next time, call the airline directly to change the flight instead of going through cheap-o.  Don't blame someone else for your own oversight.  Why don't you get with immigrations of the country you are visiting, and extend/change the dates of your Visa?  Sometimes that is much easier than changing a ticket.

So it is after your flight.  What happened??  Does anyone update their experience after travel on this site?  I've seen very few. I can only assume that things worked out in the end.

Don't get mad because you fell short..you sound uneducated, shallow and "OhhhhhhMyGawddddddddd, SOOOOOO"....NOT SMART! Fancy blaming someone else for your lack of intuition and for your own stupidity. A little advice, next time you plan to go anywhere, take Greyhound..that way you won't have to worry about getting "duped" by an Arab lady!.... Oh, and try picking up a book and read instead, first!...I don't think you've traveled far enough. We'll get to that when you're ready. W.A.L!

Did they cancel your flight... or the airline?? Provide more details!  Airlines cancel flights all the time and that has nothing to do with who you bought the ticket with. Curious minds want more details!

Nah, I don't work for the company.  As I said I am in the US Military.  If you want to communicate some way on here and I can prove myself I will.  BTW, 2 weeks later, my flight that I booked for my girlfriend is still on the United site and she chose her seats.  This place worked just like Travelocity.   Give me an e-mail, or even a phone number.  I can prove myself.  As I said earlier, just like the person before your post, no one is providing details for their situation or reading what the terms of agreement says.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU GIVE CREDIT CARD INFO TO THIS CHEAPOAIR. YOU WILL BE IN GREAT TROUBLE IF YOU GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO TO BOOK THE TICKET. NOW IA M STRUGGLING TO GET MY MONEY BACK AS THEY HAVE TAKEN MONEY EVEN AFTER I CANCEL MY BOOKING THE SAME DAY. NOW WHEN I CALL THE LADY SAYS IT WOULD TAKE 14-16 WEEKS. FINALLY I HAD TO CLAIM A DISPUTE. SO BE CAREFUL.

I know what you mean, when you call to complain you get people that barely speak English and are hard to communicate with. I purchased an entire Hawaiian Christmas vacation and decided I wanted to upgrade the hotel. When I called with my confirmation # they can't find any information on the trip even though I have a printed itinerary right in front of me. Of course they charged my card nearly $6000. I am now waiting for them to try to find the info and calculate how much my fee will be to change the reservation even though they can't find one. I am so glad I found this out now, can you imagine if I'd gone to the airport with my family to find out we'd been duped at Christmas.

I do have a truthful complaint: on September 20 I booked on line a tiket from Norfolk VA to San Juan Puerto Rico the base price for that tiket was $181.33 dollars +fees and taxes was a total of $230.93 after twenty four hours I didn't have any confirmation on my email I called there  costumer service(after a good 30 minutes)I spoke  with a representative and I have been told the price went up and the total would  be $330.93 dollars I accepted  the charge, going  back on line the price remain  the same. The  big surprise to me when finale received  the confirmation on 22 at 10.30AM was a note say would  be two charges on my credit card, one charge who'd  be the ticket  the another one who'd  be a agent fee, but the total who'd remain the same. I  was astonished by all experience. The  only I can say never again I use cheapoair. My suggestion to any one is to be very carefully
