I have been receiving these calls once or twice every day (Excluding weekends).  They identify themselves as "Card Member Services." When answering, I followed their menu options and I pressed "3" to not receive any more notifications, and pressed "1" to speak to an operator, and the second I open my mouth, they hang up on me.  THIS IS REALLY PISSING ME OFF!!!!!

I am soooo tired of Card Member Services calling my house.  They call from different numbers. Scam or whatever there has to be a way to stop the calls.. ITS HARASSMENT!!  The recording says to press 3 to stop the calls but that don't work.  When you talk to a live person they are rude and hang up in your face, on the freakin phone you pay for....

I've filed numerous complaints through the FTC site and National Do Not Call Registry.  I've also complained to AT & T about annoying phone calls.  AT & T only wishes for you to continue paying for the ability to track the phone call incoming number and get more money in their account.  They have told me under no uncertain terms that they have no control over the annoying phone calls and you MUST go through the FTC.  They also say they will not trace or block obscene or annoying phone calls unless you sign up for the service.  They also suggested, if I wished to, to contact local law enforcement as they (AT & T) could do nothing about it. What do you wish to bet that I will receive yet another phone call from "Rachel" at Cardmember Services and NO, they are not part of Chase or any other legitimate credit card company.  Please, do not ever give any information to these theives.  If they do anything other than steal your identify, it will be to solicit you to purchase some product from them to "lower" your interest rates on your credit cards.  No legitimate company would do this sort of activity.  As I said, I have contacted AT & T, FTC, The National Do Not Call Registry plus local law enforcement and various state Attorneys General.  AT & T could do something but, they like the money they get from "Rachel, at Cardmember Services" too much to cease the unwarranted attacks on our privacy.

These people must be really unhappy with their lives to interrupt mine so much. I have placed my number on the DO NOT CALL LIST about 5 times. A joke to say the least. I am over their numerous calls EVERY DAY! I think next time who ever "answers" I'm just going to talk to them about JESUS!

    Another thought:
If I had one question to ask the Prez, or the official Republican candidate, it would be:"Mr. Prez/Mr. Candidate, what are you intending to do about Rachel and Card Member Services?"  And I'd want to ask the question on national TV.

I just had a conversation with the telephone repair man.  I told him about this problem and he said, "Go to the dollar store and buy a whistle."  You know, the kind that teachers and coaches use.  And blow it directly into the phone when starting to speak to a operator from Card Member services.  Better yet, I thought of using an air horn!  He said, that would be the best way for them not to call you back.  Ha ha.

I am at least glad to see that so many others are frustrated with these harassing calls. Now, I, too, plan to buy an air horn. I'm sick of being treated this way. We consumers find ways to protect ourselves (Do Not Call List), and then the crooks go to work trying to figure out how to break the law and get away with it. This has been going on too long for me. Air horn it is. This crap is worse than the Viagra spam that I (an old woman) receive all the time.

Earlier I had posted a message about using the air horn on them and I wanted to let you all know how that is working out.  As I said in my earlier post, when they called I let them have it with the air horn and then hung up.  If you decide to use the air horn, when you press 1, if you can, put your phone on speaker and then hold the phone away from you because that air horn is really loud!  When the live person comes on the line, just give them a good blast and hang up.  Well, about 3 hours later, I got another call from them and did the same thing.  For the next couple days, I got 1 or 2 calls and then one day when they called, I was all ready to give them the blast and the call got disconnected.  I'm guessing a good 2 weeks went by before I got another call from them, I gave them a blast and hung up.  So, it has been several Glorious weeks since I've gotten a call and hopefully I won't get anymore.  I hate to admit it, but once I started using the horn, I actually got a little excited when that phone rang at the prospect I was going to get to blast someone.  LOL  The only bad thing is, when the phone would ring and I would reach for the air horn, the dogs would run for cover.  LOL

So, my best advice to you is to go out and buy an air horn.  As loud as it is, it has to hurt!

I have been having the same problem with this company that all of you have.  They have hung up on me repeatedly when I try to get off the list and this has been going on for a few years now.  What I do now when they call and I have time, I get someone on the line and see how long I can keep them on them talking or waiting for me while I go tend to an imaginary baby or answer a doorbell that didn't ring.  It really is fun and someone is paying the guy on the other end of the line so it has a duel purpose.  Maybe we can bankrupt these A..holes!

I think I'm going to try a shrill whistle next time they call and I get a human on the other end.  I have great credit, no credit card debt and they won't stop calling!!  Press a key to take your name off doesn't work and they are starting to call every day!  This is a complete scam and has nothing to do with me or my credit.

Had this company call me 5 TIMES IN A ROW literally 10 seconds apart with 5 different numbers from all over the country. Some as quick as right after I hang up. So on the 3rd call, I kept the woman on the line for 10 minutes, telling her about my fake debt and that I was really interested. While she was giving the pitch, I loaded up one of those screamer videos on YouTube, cranked up my sound system, and put my phone right up to the speaker. I heard her scream and hang up. Got another call 10 seconds later, and did the same thing with the male caller. He called me an a$$hole swore at me for 10 seconds, and I told him that if he called my number again he would get the same response. We'll see what happens now.

Call your cell phone company and have them block the call for you - so record every scam number that calls you.  Little you will get nothing accomplished.  If Verizon, Sprint, etc get enough request they can get a resolution in place for you.  I work in software services and if a large organization like Verizon is wasting time dealing with issues a scam is causing, they will address it so thier employees can go on with other support issues.

I've reported it to the PUC, written letters to both my legislative representatives with no result. The phone company can't explain how a call can be made from a phone that doesn't exist is really mind boggling. I'm thinking the loud whistle or air horn is a great idea. If we all do it maybe they'll get the message.

Amazing;  I had no idea this was happening to everyone!~  I am in concert with everyone.  When I pressed "1" I got Rebecca Lewis with Card Member Services.  Told her to take me off calling and guess what??? She hung up again on me!  I hope the "hang up" when THEY call works.  And I'm on the "no call list" also.  Does not work with this.  Hope the FCC Investigation on Roy Cox, the owner, works!  Let's do some contacting with the FCC to see what they are doing!!

I just filed a complaint with the FCC.  You can go on their site and file a complaint using Form 1088C.  Hopefully if we all file a complaint it will help with the FCC investigation of Cardmember Services owned by Roy Cox.
