I too have received multiple calls from these scam artists. It starts out as a phone recording asking you to press one (1) to have your percentage rate reduced. Once you talk to anyone there they keep talking and talking to try and get you to give a credit card number, and if you don't or if you tell them that you are on the national do not call list they hang up on you and call again in a couple of days. After extensive research I have discovered that this scam is being run by this company in Arizona called Ambrosia Website Design.

This is a link to their website:
      http://www.ambrosiawebdesign.com/

      This is their contact information:
      Ambrosia Website Design LLC
      2906 S Revere Circle
      Mesa, AZ 85210
      (888) 583-1956

I have called them repeatedly and was finally able to get someone to answer the phone and he admitted that they are Card Member Services, and once I threatened to report them, he promised to stop the calls.

This information is not correct. Please stop calling this company. The owner of cardmember services is Roy Cox. He is currently the subject of an FCC investigation. Check out the FCC's website for more information. In the meantime, the only way to stop these calls is to NOT push any buttons (ie: 1 or 3) because this lets the computer know it has reached a working number. If you have done this already, just hang up every time they call and eventually the computer will register your number as a non-working number and stop robo calling it. This can take a couple of weeks however.

I put the Card Services phone into my cell phone as a contact which I labeled "Don't Answer Spam 1, 2, 3, etc.". When the phone rings I check the screen before answering the call. It is only 1 p.m. I've received three calls from them so far today.

I am on the do not call list and have been for a long time. I average about two calls a day from  them. I couldn't figure out how to stop them from calling. I tried talking to them about the no call listing of my phone number several times and finally gave up.

The information shared by "phonescam" is the best I have found to date. I appreciate it.

Sounds easy enough, except they use numerous phone numbers include "local" numbers so it appears someone in town is calling. No block will alleviate this problem.  This is going to require legislative action to force these financial predators to stop telemarketing activities.  It also means contacting the FCC to issue complaints, which they probably will ignore anyway.  And of course, contacting your state attorney general to report this problem, but again, real action is unlikely.  Essentially, we're all just screwed.

they wont stop. i've been getting these calls for 7 months...from 25 different numbers, all card member services. i reported them at least 200 times, blocked 20 numbers on each phone, hung up, cursed them out, reported them to the fbi, local police, called all my credit card companies and told them, left responses like this on many report sites....and the calls just dont stop. Both my phones, 4 to 5 times a day. i can tell you all one thing, no one cares.

For wireless numbers you can call your vendor and 'opt-out'.
Luckily my home phone is also a wireless from Verizon and they were most kind.
They blocked all my numbers and will collect the offending numbers (from CMS)
for further investigations. I called them because the FCC credited them with helping the
          2010 investigation.
Unfortunately, even though they were stopped for a short time in 2010,
          they came roaring back.

Not true! I have received these calls for months, and the first 20 times I just hung up, but it never stops. I have pushed 1 to tell them to stop, but they just hang up. I have called back to unregister my phone number, but that doesn't stop the calls either. Every time they call it's from a different number in a different state. I have registered my phone with the 'do not call' registry and they just keep coming every other day. Ugh! "Hi! This is Ann from Card Member Services...' The one time I did talk to somebody to pretend I was interested, they asked for my credit card number and then told me there was a $995 fee to reduce my interest rate. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

Bryan, not exactly correct re the "non working phone" info.  As soon as you pick up your receiver, their answering system knows that they have called a working phone even if you push no buttons.  You are correct in that Card Member Services is a total scam.

They have been calling my landline for years. First it was "Rachel", now it's "Donna". It is a robocall. If you do not pick up your phone, the number calling will not leave your voice mail a message. To let the system know it has a live connection, all you need to do is pick up the phone. I've decided that from now on, I will not pick up the phone at all. If someone I know wants me to call them, they will leave a message. This latest on Monday, Jan 17, 2017, I was able to trace to a cell phone in Bayonne, NJ.  If you do not pick up the phone, the calls will eventually stop. This call today was the first I've gotten in months. Don't answer your phone when it rings!

Of course it’s against the law.
They additionally engage in illegal “revenue sharing” with dialers, and phone carriers.
They are also most likely violating their own State Corporation Laws, and committing credit card processing fraud. (credit card laundering).
They are Federally violating TCPA, TSR and the RICO Act-
Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act
Here’s another Orlando Florida “cardholder services” goon on a campaign to prey on the elderly last week-  says Experian "the Credit Bureau has turned us over”. . .  four grand in credit card debt“.  @approx 4:27

I've received two calls from them and what I found out from Verizon is that they utilize random phone numbers that aren't currently in use so you can't trace them or call them back. They have popped up as willoughby, oh and somewhere in Minnesota. The first time I immediately called visa and they said they had no idea who card member services was and to never give out my credit card numbers over the phone. The second time they called I told the guy, who could barely speak English, that I reported them to my credit card company and that I researched them and they are scam artists trying to steal money. He immediately hung up on me. Anyway....if you get a phone call from a number you don't recognize and it's a recording from card member services about your interest rates hang up immediately!

What I do is answer, tie up their lines for 20 seconds with good morning, what is your name, followed by a suggestion they put the phone where the sun don't shine.  If enough people tie up their staff with wasted calles, they will not be able to sell any scams.

He got so frustrated trying to explain it to me he transferred me to a supervisor. After getting her all flustered I told her i was just messing with them and to not call my house anymore. She said you mean to tell me you have been wasting my time and my co workers time? I said YEP! AND IT FELT GREAT! That is when she proceeded to call me the name and hung up on me! It made my day!

I do that also, I act like I'm interested, then I break their aggies with all kinds of nonsense. aside from that I've called my c.c. companies and suggested they send a message to all their card holders regarding this scam. I suggest that everyone should contact their c.c. companies and do the same. the only way to stop them is through awareness of the scam.  So call your credit card companies, and explain that they have a duty to notify their card holders of this.

It seems like you just can't block them;the Do Not Call registry does not work;it is a waste of space. If you press 1 then when they answer speak quietly until they turn up their volume or listen more closely, then really shout loudly you should be able to get in at least three good cusses before they hang up on you.It will not stop them calling but will let you feel better because you are annoying them as they have just annoyed you by calling yet again. They may call back to complain, but that lets you shout at them again.
