They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    I live in Ohio and I have been dealing with this company forever. So today I get a call from Tanisha Edwards, make that two calls within 2 minutes both with voicemails stating the same thing I need to call by 2pm today this is my last day to call, blah blah blah. First off I wat to say it is illegal for any company to call and leave more than one message a day. As a matter of fact they are not supposed to call you again that day once they leave the message. I was told this by a collector that works for the goverment collecting student loans so they should know their stuff. I will also state I never return their calls because I have learned it absolutley pointless. They will never work with you no matter what the cirmustances are. So the first person I talk to I explain to her I can make the payment on next Friday. Well we can not accept that was the answer I got. I was then transferred to Ms. Williams. She immediatly got an attitude with me. I started of by telling her it was unnessary to call me 2 times in 2 minutes and leave messages and also told her that this was illegal. She says well I have two numbers for you. I said no the calls and messages were left on the same number. then she says well that dosen't matter. She goes on to state so you have been receiving my calls why have you not communicated with the company who finances your car. I then tell her because everytime I call no one will work with me I am generally spoken to like I am the scum of the earth and have even been asked to pawn things and questions like where is the money we refunded you(they once took two back to back payments out). She then goes on to say well I have excellent customer service and I treat people the way I want to be treated so if you give me attitude I will give you attitude. So I tell her I can not make a payment untill next friday. She says well you were paid 2 times in January so why have you not paid. I then explained that one check pretty much goes to rent and then on my last  check I had an unexpected car repair that took my car payment. Well she says that's not my problem, it's your problem to figure out how to make the payment, you are driving our car for free we don't care about your other bills it is up to you to figure out how you are going to pay us you are two months behind. Everytime I tried to say something she cut me off (She has excellent customer service remember) Then I tell her well if you can't wait one week you will have to come get the car. She says how much millege is on it I was like what does that matter? She gave me a big sigh and was like just tell me. I was like I am not in the car so I do not know. Well what condition is it in? I responded good. Where is the vehicle parked? I told her you have my address you figure it out. She then says okay this conversation is over have a good day. So I ask to speak to her supervisor. I then get Cherise (which is probably not a supervisor) I ask her so when are you picking the car up. She says well as of right now it is not out for repossesion, when can you pay? So I have to go through all of this for the third time now with the third person. So I tell her I am making a payment next friday for my December payment. My income tax return will be in right after that and I will make January's payment and then in two more weeks I will pay Feb which would make me current. She then says well your car is three months behind so we can not make any arrangements with you. I was like I just told you I am willing to give you almost 900 dollars next month to cover the past due months and the current month. She says well you can not negoiate the terms you are driving our car for free. I can not tell you when this will go for repossesion but I advise you to pay as soon as possible. Can you borrow the money? I say no. Have you tried to borrow the money? I say yes. Can you take out a payday loan? I say no I am not going that route I am not going to take out a payday loan for 300 so I can owe that place 400. Okay well then all I can do is note your account and this conversation is over. Have a good day.. Are you kidding me? I am so sick of this company! I just don't know what to do, you try to talk to them and they are unreasonable you don't talk to them and they get all upset about that. WTF any advise would be great!!

    I made payment arrangements with them because I was behind, they agree to defer one payment and the other was to be split up and added to the next 4 months of payments. I did exactly what I was supposed to and when I was supposed to. I called them to make my January payment and they told me I was still 2 months behind, 'how could that be' I asked them, 'I don't understand how you calculate these bills' the agent on the phone hung up on me! I am tired of them call all day and night if I am one day late, they call my relatives and harass them too.  it needs to end, I told them to come get the car, I don't even drive it anymore.

    hahaha I was told yesterday by Ms. Edwards that she "has excellent customer service. I treat people the way I want to be treated. If you give me attitude I will give you attitude." No she started attitude with me because she was pissed that I knew the FTC laws that after they call you and leave a message they are not to call you again that day (this is why a creditor may call but not leave a message) When I said it was unnessary for her to call in two minutes and leave the exact same message. She states well I have two numbers on file. I said no the calls and messages were received on the same number. She then starts with the attitude and says well that dosen't matter. And then tries to turn it around on me and says so you have been getting my calls. Why have you not called back. you are driving our car for free. How do you feel about that? What a not nice person

    I too would love to join this class action suit, they call 4-5 times a day from unidentifiable telephone numbers, they don't try to work with their customers at all.  I work for the State of California and have had my pay reduced for over 3yrs, and they won't work with me.  I am almost homeless and all they care about is a car payment.

    I have never been able to talk with anyone at CPS.I need to talk to them about my account and the way they are not including the whole $469.00 to my account each month. I need to be include in this lawsuit. I have the paper work to prove this. My email address is brenda.osazuwa@yahoo.com. Somebody called me today using a phone card asking me to call them at another number and it is not cps number. The number he called me on was 949-788-5600 asking me to call him at 888 451-7826 ext. 15678.

    I received a call from a Gil Martinez today, using a phone card. The number is 949 788-5600 asking me to call 888 451-7826 ext 15678. My payments are not been applied showing the full amount and this has been going on for some time. I have never been able to speak with anyone at cps. I have my monthly statement to prove this. Either somebody don't know how to subtract or something. I want to be included in the lawsuit. 2/5/2011

    CPS is one of the worst car finance ever their harass a lot and almost made me get fire for calling my job if you have 7 days past from the due date.

    my husband is financed through CPS, and they have harassed at least 4 of my neighbors, giving the neighbors information that they are not supposed to give. the repo man comes at all hours of the night, midnight, 1 am, and 4 am, banging on the door like they are the police.  they call my house at least 6 or 7 times a day, and when i don't answer, they call my neighbors.  i am fully prepared to pay off the loan in full, but after reading the things that others have gone through, i'm scared to give them a lump sum of money, for fear that they will say i still owe, or that i didn't pay. boooo CPS...booo

    All of these comments are a bunch of bs. If you are behind on payments they will call you. Just don't fall behind. Simple. Or have another company finance your vehicle.

      ANTONIO SERIOUSLY GET A LIFE WHAT COMPANY WIL FINANCE A CAR WITH CPS ALLTHEY DO IS LIE TO YOU ABOUT WHAT IS OWED. NOBODY WILL FINANCE THEIR CARS.

    Jaime..your comment is sooo hilarious. Actually, I am a customer of CPS. I have been with them for 3 years. They finance my auto loan. I have never received a call from them. You want to know why?? You know the answer!!!! I have never been late on a payment. Would you call someone who owed you money and didn't pay on time? I would!! In regards to not posting comments...jajaja. I can post as many as I want. Just like you.

    I have been harrassed by CPS for three years now and have been cuuant but they want a payment in advance and start calling 10 times a day and night
    even on sunday. These people are rude and have no shame.. Count me in on the lawsuit my email is  old.ranger3@yahoo.com. god bless you all...

    I don't get it I'm two months behind late every month I just give them my checking acct info and they debit the $388.00 plus $12 fee every month. Then I call the next month and do the same thing I'll be done paying them off 3/2013, but I just don't get people saying how rude they're blah blah blah. Their just like any other lien holder if you don't pay or if they chase you down for the car I can see them being rude, but I'm still late and they're nice. You also need to remember this lien holder is for people who previously had a BK or a repo, so the employees look at customers as their not going to pay anyway because some of us had problems in the past. I'm just thankful CPS gave me a second chance.

    Wow! I thought I was the only one having these problems. I too have experienced harassment calls. One day they called me 8 times. They would call leave a message and then call right back. I was only 1 day late on my payment! They do not give a grace period. The other problem that I am having is that for the last 6 months my statements have been wrong and I can't get anyone to send me an updated statement that actuallty shows what I owe. When I call the representative tells me that I am current but the statements say a totally different thing. They also forced me to change my due date because I had gotten behind on a payment. In order for them to put the payment at the end of the term they told me that I needed to change my due date from the 17th to the 2nd. I informed them that there was no way that I could make a car payment on the 2nd when I also have rent that is also due. She said that was ok because changing the date would give me a full 30 days to make the payment. That's a lie. Not only do they start calling on the 3rd they also charge a late fee after 10 days. So every month I get charge an additional late fee of $25.00 on top of my car note. When I realized this, I asked to speak to a manager to about changing the date, I was told that it was locked in and could not be changed! What kind of company is this!!

    My name is spelled Jamie......... I dont care if you make your payments on time ,so did I until they started messing with me ..... I can play their games too !!!!!!!! I am really not on here to fight i just want justice for what they have done , And i plan to GET it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I would love to be a part of this lawsuit.  They have been harrassing us as well.  My husband was out making the payment and they told me that I was a liar, and he was not doing it.  They harrass him every hour on the hour.  They have been nothing but rude, threatening to come and take the vehicle.  I think we should sue these people and get whatever we can from them.
