They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    The whole purpose of a loan is to use the money for some length of time.  
    It would be a very strange loan that you immediately paid on before you had hardly borrowed for any length of time.  

    What does your loan contract say?

    I'M NOT A CUSTOMER AND I GET THE NASTY CALLS,  MY PHONE IS PUBLIC LISTED AND THEY HAVE ME CONFUSED WITH SOMEONE ELSE.   STILL , NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH THESE PEOPLE. REPORT THEM, REPORT THEM, REPORT THEM.   LOCAL,STATE,FEDERAL WHATEVER IT TAKES.  WHEN I GET ONE MORE CALL FROM THEM I WILL PURSUE A CLASS ACTION SUIT WITH OTHERS.

    This company gives loans to people with a history of paying lat or not paying at all! I would imagine if you all paid on time they would have no reason to call. If you loaned me $15,000 and i agreed to pay you on the first of every month and i didnt I am guessing you would call me and maybe even pound on my door to collect.

      Do you work for this agency? I had my loan with another company. I mad my payments on time and then something happened to the first company and suddenly CPS had out account. From the very beginning they screwed up my account. They did not have an accurate payment history for my account and one month I made a double payment and rather than crediting me for the next month they said they applied it to my interest. WTF?  They gthn echarged me a late payment the following month becasue they said they didn't get a payment. I tried talking to them numerous times about this and asked that my account be credited correctly. I don't ever think it was. To this day they still say I am a month behind.

          I too have retained a lawyer regaurding this company. I have been personally threatened that "I would be sorry" and "I will see". This company refuses money from me when I try to make payments. I was finally able to make a payment online and now they have made it so I can no longer make payments online or  automated payments. They constantly call and harrass me during the day and night as late as 11 pm. The break the "Rosenthal Act" by continuely calling and threatening even when no payment is due.

            I agree with you. They never want to take partial payments. They repossed my car for a balance of 855.00. They want even talk to me. I don't know where my vehicle is and who to talk too about this. Who is your lawyer? Please email me or call -773 707-5312 brenda.osazuwa@yahoo.com

            I would love for you to contact me, I have had nothing but problems with them, they bought my loan from another company over 2 years ago i was not even notified until they said I was 4 months behind all the while i was making my payments to my original loan company when the loan was sold and CPS got it they started calling threatening to repo my car unless it was brought current. Now my loan was matured in December but they claim I still owe over 6000 plus late fees now they are trying again to repo my car in fact they have already reported to the 3 major bureaus that it is charged off and reposed  so how is it that i have my car and yet it is charged off.         I experienced the same thing with this company.  If your payment is due on the 22nd of each month expect a call on the 23rd and if you have already made your payment they still talk crazy until you ask them what they are calling for....when they see you have already made your payment then speak to you real nicely....how stupid.  Once I pay my loan off with this company I will never get another loan with them.

      Why are you on this board? My guess is to start a fight. everyone can't be perfect, like you. That still is no reason to be treated the way that these people treat you. I have dealt with them and been treated like crap. They bought my loan without my knowledge, it was 5 months from the maturity. I continued to make payments to the orginal creditor because I had n ot been informed of the buyout. I have to borrow monry to pay theese people, file suit against the original creditor to get the payments that I HAD MADE. Still had to pay late fees even after submitting proof of payments!

      Why don't you go harrass someone else, we get enough from CPS

      Hey idiot, there is a law providing graze periods.  I paid all but maybe three payments on time and still my work, my mother, mother in law were receiving harassing calls before the company even contacted me.  They even called when the payment was already in there hands. So if you don't have a complaint against this company I suggest silence from your blab hole.

    You would truly be imagining if you believed these people would harass you only if you owed them money.  

    There are a number of debt collectors that are not competent enough to realize when they are calling the wrong person.  Or maybe they don't care who they get money from.

    I'm sure YOU would never make that mistake.

    If you continue having problems with debt collectors based in California, contact the California Attorney General.  The Rosenthal Act even applies to debt collection by creditors.

    This company is a horrid company. I got a car, and after my husband passed away, my son tried to committ suicide twice.  Why is this part important, because of all that was going on, I did not make the payment.  They called my husband's family and told them that they were CPS and I would be put and jail and the kids put in foster care.  Down here in Texas, CPS means Child Protective Services.  My family was worried, I was worried.  They were calling my elderly neighbor and my best friends mom, also elderly.  No matter who they called the story was always the same, I would be put in jail and the kids in foster care.  Now the funny part of this whole thing.... my car was repossessed.  After it was repossessed, I got a ticket from the Toll way stating that I didn't pay a toll and I am liable for it, because the car is still in my name! OMG!! Just think if they are using my car in a hit and run or even a bank robbery, I really will go to jail!!  Please let's start a class action suit! Make them stop.  Now they have my car and the $4000 dollars that I have already paid into it.  What can I do?

      I have dealt with CPS when as the co-signor for my daughter.  They harrassed me, my family, my friends, neighbors and at work.  They called all hours of the day and night and I didn't have the car.  She came to visit and they took the car.  I tried to work something out them to bring the payments current and they wanted everything now.  They scared my daughter to death told her she would never see her children again - that they would make sure she went to jail - and the gave out all of her personal information to anyone that they got on the phones.  I am still paying on this car at the tune of over 200 a month and I keep asking them to give me exactly how much is still owed on the car and they say they will send it and I never get it and I've been paying this amount for over two years and the beginning amout was about 4,000 so I'm thinking I should be close to paid up but can't find out.  If you are suing them I would like to join.

    they call people BEFORE your payment is even due, and threaten you and your family. trust me, if you had them as a loan company, you would not be so matter of fact about it. they told me that they were going to have my son taken from me, because if i can't make my payments EARLY then i must be a bad parent and abusing my son. take a sec and absorb that. yes, they actually had the balls to say that to me. so next time you post "advice" or your opinion, check your facts first!

    Ok are you perfect? Do you make all your payments on time? This is a bad company so until you have had to deal with them then you don't need to comment.
