They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    I am furious with this company, I have been hung up on called a liar, ghetto and my family talked about and I would like to join any class action lawsuit in regards to the lies the unacceptable fees. Can someone also tell me their corp address. my email is shauntebakerrealtor@yahoo.com

    I currentlly have a debt of 7700.00 dollars with Consumer Portfolio Services. I am not certain this is the total because of the "inflated late fee charges". Onl a few days ago days ago I was verbally berated by one of the acount reps after I expressed my unemployment situation and my ability tomake payment, she expressed to me; "many people have it worse than you", please explain to me, HOW DOES SHE KNOW THIS!!! I would like to be a part of any class action suit that is taken in regards to this company, they are dishonest, not trustworthy and just "down right nasty. From management, down to many of the workers; these people sit up on their perches and spew judgements at the people whom keep them employed. Please, let me know if any one is hinting at filing a clas action suit, I would love to participate.

    My husband and I also are with cps after being sold by fireside. They call everyone and give out our information about our car and loan. They call and hang up then call right back and leave nasty messages. They call all hours of the night. They are rude every time we talk to them. So we just quit answering there calls but they leave about ten messages a day on both cells phones and the house phone.

    I welcome someone to contact in regards to CPS and harrassing calls, over stepping the Federal law etc. .  Please email me if there is a class action, or civil suit of any kind.  Thank you!

    I wish I would have read all this before, I took my loan out. I am hiring an attorney for because I returned my vehicle to the dealership 3 weeks ago and called CPS and told them 3 weeks ago. My first payment wasn't due till 4/8. Well I called them yesterday and they basically said if you don't pay then we will repo the vehicle. I told them the vehicle isn't in my possession that the dealership has it and it was like it went in one ear and out the other.

    I returned the vehicle to the dealership because of things that are wrong with it and I now can not afford the payments because a family member became unemployed. I have contacted a lawyer to get legal advice and resolution.

    I have been having the same issues with cps! Can you let me know, how to get in on the civil action suit? They are rude, it is just uncanny. Not willing to help anyone and they are very crooked, I would love to shut these people down..

    Long story but the same story that every one has posted I finally said come get this car!!!!!I couldnt take the rude and belittlement any more now I have a charge off on my credit please if there is a class action going on let me know I need help before these ppl sue me....... pennysmith458@gmail.com

    Anyone suckered into a loan with them through a used car dealer using a "yo-yo" or spot delivery scam?

      I don't know about a yo-yo or spot delivery scam....but this company is ridiculous. I have had nothing but problems. I co*signed for a cousin of mine, long story short they are coming after me and that's understandable. But of course she was behind and I was left to pick up the pieces. So we came to an agreement, regarding the payments, and that everything owed was going back onto the loan and I would start fresh. They messed up on the paperwork and even after admitting it several times that it was there fault and the paperwork was done wrong they refused to correct it and not I am 30 days late w/late fee up the rear. I also asked them to move my due date to the end of the month due and they refused, but one of there representatives said it was ok cause I had a 10 day grace period, which again is not true cause now im getting late fees on top of late fee's. I spoke with numerous ppl and have to explain my self every time regarding the situation and get nowhere. They call my job 24-7, blow up my phone and even harass my references... one employee went as far as to say "well maybe you can win some money and get caught up" <<<< that was there answer to problem. They are rude and unprofessional. Class Action Lawsuit is that they need

    I have been with them since 2006, and still paying CPS.I need to know if there's interest on deferments, if not I'm going to hang their [***]. Something really do need to be done about those evil people.

    I sent them payments since my son has been behind and unemployed. I continue to help them and make arrangements and last moth they say they owed 1800.00 to pay car off i gave them 900 with the promise of paying it off this month, well they say i would have to pay 950 dollars thats afer giving them another 400.00 today. what are they doing there, you can't never talk to one person on an account it is always someone else and they don't know squat about what is going on, funny how when you are almost done paying off the car they just keep you in the mix. something has to be done or hire someone who knows how to deal with someone and stays with you through out the process of paying off the vehicle instead of someone different every month, is this anothr way of pick and interest rate  of the month club. it should be down to 540 and they think i owe them 940.00 something is wrong they need to learn how to add or hire someone who can.

    I got a car back in June and have made my payments on time up until recently. I had to take an unpaid FMLA leave and did not receive any checks for the month of August. I contacted CPS on August 11th 2014 letting them know what was going on and she assured me that she could push my August payment to the end of the loan and start me fresh for September. I called them today 08/27 checking the status and letting them know that i will be making my september payment by the 10th and what do you know??Not only did they not move back my August payment, they told me they could not help me, and that if I didnt make a payment by tomorrow, that my account would be transferred to another dept for collections, and of course I cant reach the female that told me she would help me. I am lost because they wont tell me if my car is up for repo and im scared to even drive it to work because if they take it, I wont have a job because I will have no way to get there as I only can depend on myself like most people, and all those repo fees and extra fees they make up will make it impossible for me to get my car back. Can they really take the car after just 2 months behind, even though I offered to post date a payment for September 10th??I wish I'd known about these people before or I wouldnt have got the car. They dont even take partial payments and they are extremely rude, I've never dealt with a company that wont even accept a partial payment, you would think they would want something, but I guess not huh??

      CPS reached a settlement with FTC recently over deceptive and abusive consumer debt collection, including padding unowed amounts onto consumer loans.  Telling you one thing on your first call, then yanking it back later after you have no remedy, would be another deceptive business practice.

      Contact FTC, as CPS is subject to a consent agreement as part of the settlement.
