They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    I am a military member, just returning from Afghanistan for the 4th time. When returning from my first deployment I came home to no car. Long story short, CPS says they do not care that I am in the military and was serving overseas, they will not honor the Soldiers and Sailors Act, and unless I am calling to make payment arrangements I do not need to call and they will not sending letters.
    This company should be sued! With my case, they are in direct violation of a Federal Act made by congress, I do not understand how they are still in business. I am turning this over to my lawyer and military JAG. I hope that something can be done.

    All this info is great, the problem is that when u try and talk to a higher up CPS attends to get smart with you and refuse to transfer you. Things happen to people and at times payments may not always be on time. My car is due to be paid off in Aug. of 2012, how is that going to happen when I still owe 10,000! I have used three deferments and I'm guessing they add a lot of late fees. This car has been a problem the minute I drove it off the dealership lot. I'm behind all the time because of the car always in for repairs. Even if the car payment is 1 week behind, CPS tells me it's a month. I tell them no that a month is 30 days from which my payment is due. So if my payment is due the 10th when the 10th of the next month hits that's 30 days.......This company needs to shut down and the BBB needs to investigate this company as well. A lawsuit is going to be in action against them as well!!!!!

    Cetta, there is a big huge complaint against CPS. It's multiple websites that have complaints about CPS. Whatever can be done to help should be done. I would like to get in this too. I'm also going to sue the cardealer as well for selling a faulty car. It's a lemon!!!!!

    Ok John, let's see you call CPS and tell them your payment is going to be late and let's how they treat u! That happened to be when I got very sick and to take time off my job and was short on my paycheck. There's two sides to the story. Are u trying to earn points with CPS?

    Count Me In!! Lost my job and for the first time in 49 payments I fell behind 31 days for two months, they threatened me with everything under the sun, took the car and my tags they have no idea what happened to them, and auctioned the car now demanding my arm and leg for the balance!  These people when they call act like they have personally loaned you there money out of their paycheck. My friend also has loan with them and has been late and on her way home for a funeral they actually said they were gonna get state troopers after her so they could get there vehicle she was 46 days past due. If anyone decides to go forth with action please notify me.

    Ok, I get it you clearly are employed by CPS. Bet you get a promotion after that post, kinda funny how thousands of people have a problem with this company and yet you are the only one on here defending them! For your information I was granted a loan from them not because I have a history of making late payments on bills or bad credit, I barely had any credit!!! But, thanks to CPS I know have BAD CREDIT! Hope you are fortunate it enough someday to be harrassed every single second of every single day of your life by them, I give you 31 days till you retract that statement, actually I give you 29 days seeing as how they call to ask you where your payment is before the due date!

    Now you have robbedme of even more time, lady sounds like you need to find something else better to do with your time other than sitting here posting comments.  Have a suggestion for something you could do with all that extra time you have find a way to give thousands of us that all make the same complaint, thousands of dollars so we can pay CPS off so we wouldn't have to listen to themvor you anymore. Just wanna add to I hope a little thing called reality or life dosent happen to you cause you would be lost!

    Ok..I wonder if u r the Tiffany that called and harrassed me at my job. That person seemed to quote me everything you just mentioned. Hilarious!! What is so priceless you mention wear and tear on the vehicles? Really wish before I begged them to come get there car back I would've stripped the brand new tires I put on it, racked up a couple hundred thousand miles, etc...then in some small way I would feel like dealing with them every single second of my life was worth it! You are one of the stupidest people ever!

I'm gonna pray I hope you never ever ever can't make your payment to them. I hope you the payment you send never gets lost in the mail or the mail gets delayed for reasons beyond your control because I fear it will shatter your world not to be considered CPS'S best customer of this CENTURY! Since you really seem to have so much time on your hands please take that extra second to hit spell check, I mean you are perfect!!!!

    Antonio you have got to be the brightest crayon in the box you must be John's son...lol!  I really wouldn't normally waste my time to respond to  anyone with your smarts but I couldn't help myself....I dont think CPS gives you a monthly discount on your payments for defending them! Also, I truly hope you can continue paying your loan before it's due date because if not you may just get a phone call!!!!! Who knows though since you have proven you're an a**hole they may call to offer you a job!!!!!

    Of course like all of you on here I to have been preyed on by CPS. I'm so surprised the FBI or the president himself hasn't come looking for me yet. That's the way you get treated or are made to feel like. like I have committed some unthinkable crime . Yes, I am guilty! I made a car payment 45 days late!!  I mean let's be real the ways of this company are down right shameful, they have to be adressed miss blahblah or mr blah blah or you are disrespecting them. I don't even say miss blah when speaking to my mother. I think it's  beyond harassment when you have a co. Call you 27 times a day on your cell phone, then. Contact you at work, and call and do the same at your house number. I used to try to talk and kill em with kindness but a person can only be kicked so many times while they are already down. I understand if you owe them money but screaming, threatening and calling neighbors that have no idea who you even are, and to tell those said neighbors it's an emergency  to call them back. I made 49 payments consistently on time to this company and lost my job due to no fault of my own but while fighting for unemployment I fell behind...They would make demands if we don't have payment by 2 n then another message would follow if we don't have it by 4 then it's we are calling the police because you are unwilling to cooperate which I knew was a definite lie go ahead waste an officers time at no point was ever uncooperative. My nerves are again shot because they finally came to get the car had no phone calls for a week swear I was in heaven now phone calls have started once again demanding lots of money for fees and expenses and left over balance from my loan. They have called and called and I just can not do this with them anymore!  It's already bad enough I just gave up the car but I only had 7 months left to pay on it and they are still not showing me they auctioned it, shown me any dollar amounts nothing but 4 or 5 calls a day. Already taking the above advice contacting attorney general and filing complaints. I do take the responsibility of owing them money, or being behind on payments but I still should be treated with respect when I am giving them respect. I am just a human and I am not god! People do make mistakes. I'm gonna check here weekly if anyone has updates or help....good luck to all.

    Does anyone have any information about what is going on ? I know we are all doing the same thing with the attorney general and bbb and all that stuff but has anyone got a lawyer to do a case against them ???? I talked to a lawyer but i had no luck !!! hopefully someone has some good news because we could all use it !!!!
