They call me at all hours of the day. I am on a maternity leave and they have been calling my office every day. They accuse my coworkers in lying and covering for me because they say that I am on leave.  I tried to talk to them but they are threatening me with police and say  they will take my vehicle.

    I almost forgot to tell you, I did get my car back the next day after I paid almost an additional $3,000 becuase of the Simple Interest Loan I had signed. Thats why I am asking that all of you look at your signed contract with them.

    The morons they hire to make these harassing calls are paid on commision.
    That's why they call before the payment is due and tell you that they
    will even take a check over the phone. They get pissed every time my wife tells them that the payment is made online every month. Thanks to the theory of Darwinism companies like these and their idiot employees will disappear.

    I've never missed a payment with these people but once when they redid their whole website somehow a payment I made online didn't go through EVEN THOUGH I HAD A CONFIRMATION NUMBER SAYING IT DID.

    Long story short they called me a few days later and accused me of bouncing checks. After I explained that 1) I paid the bill on time and 2) I never paid with a check the lady then lied and said "We no longer accept payments online".  This isn't true because I have since continued to make my payments online.

    The error was clearly on their end since I had a confirmation number showing I made a payment. Still they wouldn't give me a refund for the late fee they wanted me to pay!  It wasn't worth going to court over for a late fee so I just let it go.

    Even when I tried to make the payment with the late fee over the phone they said I couldn't since it was late. I said fine I'll pay online and they still said I couldn't. Long story short I had to call in 2 hours late to work, travel 30mins to a western union, and pay even more fees that way.


    This company is horrible and I am currently looking to refiance my loan elsewhere so I never have to deal with CPS again. The only reason I had to go through CPS is because it was my first time buying a car so I didn't have any credit yet.

    If anyone files some kind of lawsuit against them I will join for sure. I still have the confirmation number of paying my bill on time and I still have the reciept of the the late fees I had to pay along with the western union fees.

    The thing that pisses me off the most is how rude the customer service lady was. The problem was clearly on their end but she felt the need to treat me like some scumbag and accuss me of things and even make up lies.

    HORRIBLE! This company has an F rating with the BBB for a reason.

    Lynn: I don't owe them money and they have hounded me because my name was used as a contact.  AND NOW I'M SUING THEM!

    I didn't owe them money but was used as a contact.  They began harrassing my neighbors; scared my graddaughter to the point I had to leave work to calm her; and as mentioned earlier, represented themself as CPS (Child Protetive Services in Texas a violation of FTC). I notified the FTC and wrote a letter to Consumer Portfolio then mailed it certifed to the CEO, Senior Vice President of Servicing and the Senior V.P. of operations with a copy to remaining board members as well as a copy to FTC.  Mailed the letters last Friday-someone from the executive office called today. They must be worried. But its too late-as of last Friday, I am now represented by an attorney.  You asked what you could do-hire an attorney that specializes in consumer farud.  Attorneys cannot contact you by law.  ONE OF THEM WILL TAKE YOUR CASE.

    I'm down w/ a class action suit.  I've had my car for 1 1/2yr and only abot $2,000 went to my car the rest to some ghost fees.  and they charge some bogus fee every day thats a rip off

    Here is a true testament to this company's ethics.  They took an unauthorized payment from my checking account (in addition to the authorized one on the same day).  This resulted in huge overdraft fees from my bank.  CPS admits this is their fault but they have not yet resolved the issue (after 3 days) and tell me it may take up to 5 more days to determine what they are liable for and rectify the mistake.

    Upon trying to explain the urgency to a CPS representative, I was interrupted for her to tell me, "Don't come in her giving me ultimatums.  I'll throw all your paperwork in the trash and you won't see a penny of this money.  Now YOU have a good day."

    I cannot believe that in this day and age a company that operates like this is still allowed to do business.  The rudeness of the representative above is not an isolated incident.  I have repeatedly been spoken to rudely, hung up on, interrupted and refused management's contact information.

    I have a loan with this company and just could not afford the vehicle anymore, I tried to call and have them come and pick the vehicle up as voluntary or involuntary doesn't really matter, the 4 people i spoke with were super unprofessional, they were hanging up on me and would not listen, i have since then just brought the car to a dodge dealer and when they did not get there payment they of course called and the woman working or calling would not listen and was very abrupt as if i had her vehicle..wow...i am so disguted with them, were they trained to read memos and how to talk to people.....

    This is a continuation: I have called back and spoken with a Carol I calming advised her where the vehicle was and she too at the end hung up on me, it has to be a procedure in that company to just hang up on customers that way. wow.....thank god i don't have to deal with them anymore....

    I paid on time and they called my fiancee's mother and told her I was 6 months behind on my payment because they did not have a current phone number on me.

    I have had an account with this company for 3 1/2 years now and have paid more than $15,000 on this vehicle. When I asked what the buyout was, they told me that it would be more than $12,000 to buy it out. Is that crazy or what? I firmly believe that when you enter into a contract for anything it, you should honor it. But I have been subjected to the same type of harassment, unprofessional and rude treatment that everyone else has been talking about. And I refuse to believe that after paying this much, I still owe $12,000 for the car that I am driving. Every single parent out there knows how tough it is to raise on child alone, let alone three. I am not complaining or looking for sympathy but a little compassion and fair treatment is not too much to ask for. If it is against the law, then it should be dealt with appropriately. I love my car, but thereis nothing on this earth that is worth the level of harassment or intimidation that CPS uses to collect. I have contacted the Attorney General of my state and alos the dealership that sold me the car.

    I think when they hire people in that department they are looking for indifferent, insensitive, toxic minded ass nines. Those that opperate off of ego and not from the human side....I don't expect any kind of positive change anytime soon.....but change will come eventually and either they will hire those that can talk to people like people or CPS will no longer exist....I hope for the latter.....Good luck single dad.....

    THESE PEOPLE ARE TERRIBLE>  THEY DO THREATEN YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. THE WILL TRY TO GET MONEY FROM YOU BY HOOK OR CROOK.  EVEN AFTER MAKING PAYMENTS  THEY CALL AND THREATEN YOU .
