Two months back, I shifted my household items from Bangalore to Chennai thru Agarwal Packers& Movers. As I had many fragile items, I wanted to entrust the job to some reliable people. I chose Agarwal, as they were supposed to be the "best"! And soon I could realize that it was the greatest blunder I had ever done! They initially impressed me with their "manner of talking and packing things" (Anybody will as they carry wooden & plastic boxes to suit their customer's needs!! ) and promised to deliver it on time.
However, it was late night when I received my things, with lots of excuses for delay. And to my shock, most of the crockery and glass panes of my TV trolley were completely broken! And one item had completely gone missing. When contacted, I got the casual reply that I should lodge a complaint and claim for insurance .And that they will search for my lost item.
(As though this is not the first time this is happening and I'm not the first person having such experience!). And unfortunately, that's the fact, I'm not the first person! Now I understand there are so many people like me who had the same bad experience with Agarwal packers. So its my sincere advice to people that DON'T ever go for AGARWAL PACKERS.

I am of the opinion that one should not use their services since they are not able to give the same. It is like "Uche Dukan Phike Phakwan" Worst experience as they do not receive our calls now.

1. The person called Ram Singh comes my home to assess the size of truck required. As usual the person explains every minor details and its safety, I too did the same. He shows me the sample packing material, few albums on style of packing, assures me on safe delivery and informs me that he will send 20 feet truck and it will go directly to Vizag immediately. People will come at 11 am next day and by 3 pm packing will be complete and at 4 pm they will start loading if I wish or next day early morning if I am not comfortable on the same day. I got convinced approve the quotation and give a go ahead.
2. Next day 6 boys come and start packing with a wonderful speed and we are now informed that it will little long and the loading will start next day 4 pm and also goods are more so we need a 24 feet truck. The packing continues and continues and continues till next day 9 pm, took 2 days for packing. We now keep waiting for their truck and it arrives late evening next day, to my surprise it was a container and not the direct truck as promised. The boys said Mr. Ram Singh informed about 16 feet container and on our request they had sent 20 feet, I showed them the quotation which was charged for 20 feet.
3. The goods now don’t get fitted and I call them late evening and they promise that they will arrange for a second truck next day. It was done and the goods moved finally. One Innova was also booked, so I had now three consignments; one 20 feet container, a small truck and an Innova. For second truck we were not given any documents, only one line was added in the main document. From my end Innova left on 19th morning and container on 19th night and small truck on 20th morning.
4. We took a flight on 22nd and reached vizag. For 3-4 days we were comfortable and kept waiting for their call for tracking but unfortunately there was no call even their call centres and personal numbers were giving recorded messages. We were little worried and started to search the status of our consignments online by the numbers we were given, but that numbers also showed “INVALID DETAILS”. Now we were very much worried and wanted to talk to somebody who can give us the status of our consignments.
5. Finally on 25th March we could talk to a person called Mahender Singh and he assured me that he will contact me in 10 mins and those 10 mins never came and again day after day I kept calling but he was not picking my call, once he picked and said “I don’t know where your consignments are”, talk to my senior. He gave some xyz number and now we started calling him which was again a no reply and in the meantime Mr. Mahender Singh blocked our number.
6. We were very upset and some madam Geeta kept assuring us that she will report in 10 mins but on 26th the limit was crossed and we told her that we will keep holding the line but she need to tell us the status. We held the line for about 45 mins and finally she told that container is standing at a place called Nanded from last 18 hours and the small truck has not even started from Gurgaon. She gave the number of Mr. Raju Pandey who will further take care of our consignments, now we kept calling him from next day. On 27th we were told that it has crossed Hyderabad and will reach 28th morning positively, in between he stopped taking our calls. On 28th we were said, goods will reach on 28th evening, then 29th morning then 29th evening, finally Innova came on 29th morning and then somebody in their office was telling which I could hear on the phone “ask madam that Innova has reached and now be satisfied with it”. I got very upset with their remark and informed my husband in office.
7. After lot of tracking, finally our goods reached on 29th. The boys which came for unloading stated insisting me that they will unload in 2 hours but unpack they will do next day. But I couldn’t understand the reason later discovered that for one day extra keeping the material, you need to pay one day rent. After every half an hour they went and sat downstairs saying that they are tired, finally I myself started unpacking. I was so disturbed by their attitude I called my husband w.r.t their behavior, who then spoke to their Senior. Then they finally started to unpacking but they were in so much hurry that they started mishandling my things and later I discovered that my beautiful center table (with carving top to bottom) was broken, but finally we completed unpacking at 4 pm. They started looking at me with expectation and I then gave them tips accordingly Rs. 100 each for 6 boys. They left my house but when I came down I saw the truck and all the boys still standing till 5 pm. I asked them the reason and later understood that driver was wanting his share too. I had to give him a tip too.
8. The small truck finally reached on 4th April but everything broken and a missed big carton. I got very upset and wanted them to call their people to enquire about the missed delivery. As I was busy in arranging my house and some 7-8 people were working; the carpenter, electrician, Tata sky person and others, I went upstairs to check with them till the time delivery boys are enquiring about my packet. To my greatest surprise these people ran away with their truck, when they discovered that all items are broken and a missed delivery, without even getting the documents signed.
9. Furiously I called the godown incharge Mr. Rahul Sharma and informed him the status, he convinced me that on 5th April that he will tell me where my missed delivery is .
On continuous follow up I got to know that my packet reached Bhubaneswar. Finally I got my box on 8th April late evening, that also on hard pressing otherwise they were insisting for 9th morning.
10. They take the complete money in advance and we had paid Rs. 1.47 lacs . Agarwal Packers have left me shocked, disappointed where some of my things are lost some are broken and a very very bad experience.
1. My car was virtually held on ransom. Initially I received a combined quote for household goods and car. They asked me to pay 80% in advance, which I did. Rest 20% was supposed to be paid after all consignments’ delivery. Household goods came in 3 days and then they started asking for this 20% money. My car was still awaited and finally it took 10 more days to receive it. I learnt that they had documented all the unpaid amount against household goods. To recover that money before car arrives, They crossed every professional limit. They misbehaved, threatened and held my car first in Bhopal, then in Gurgaon and finally in Meerut. I was not allowed to even see my car before I paid full money.
2. There is a long list of damages, including car, two wheeler, dressing table glass, study table (left unusable), inverter battery, Godrej Almira etc. Needless to say, after the service I received, I don’t even imagine that these guys will repair or pay for my damages.
3. I had 5 years old packing material at my home from my last relocation. Agarwal packers used the same and saved their material. Out of the 24 cartons, only 3 cartons were new. That old and moist packing material was also used mercilessly, trying to fit double the capacity. They did not even carry packing paper, instead used my old newspapers to pack the crockery and delicate stuff. What’s more? They tried to fit in “Pooja” items including religious idols in an old carton with old clothes. I had to almost fight to stop them from doing that. Moreover, medicines were packed in a polythene bag without sealing syrup bottles. I received the spilled all over.
4. I informed them well in advance that destination is located in a narrow street and asked them to inform their destination (Meerut) team and include anticipated cost in the quote. During delivery, I learnt that the destination team had no idea about the situation. What’s more? The house hold goods truck driver was asking directions from me on phone. Agarwal packers team was nowhere in scene then. They appeared hours later.
5. I repeatedly tried to talk at every level to resolve the issue, especially the first point above, but I experienced the height of unprofessionalism. Their Bhopal team head Shamsher Singh threatened me, Meerut team head Mr. Shrivastava & Mr. Kaushik fooled me, Customer services Head Raghu rudely showed me a way Consumer Court and their North India Operations Director H.P. Singh made false commitments.
Conclusion: Commit the mistake of selecting Agarwal Packers & Movers (DRS Group) at your own risk. You will regret it not only financially, but mentally too.
They are specialist in worst service.Maybe Limca award is for that and like you i was also fooled by these crooks. Their are correct in one thing that LImca Award Winner because it was organised for best crooks and they won. But we thought it must be for their postive work.
I am one of the victim and i sent reply to all people in these complaints that yes they are rite and i am also going to speak what i feel about these crooks.I also see goods broken even after they were packed so it means their packaging is worst, service is worst, their gods handling is worst and offocurse behaviour and dumbess is out of the world which customer never expected .they are just bothered about money which won't last with them for long . I will get my things repaired by myself because waiting for these guys is really waisting my time. One very funny thing happened and must say like me one more customer must be fooled because these guys delivered me one matterss must be costing atleast 5-6k but i honestly said that's not mine , so take it back. I believe that person to whom it belongs must be sharing comments in same forum.

People actually beware of this so called big name
yes these guys are crooks, un professionalism, non-sense attitude , dumb. they never even respond to customer queries to solve issues customer is facing.They are worry about their money which they need before drop. I believe they won't be able to survive for this year even. I am one of the victim who used their service and writing my comments to all those who all have posted, so that we can save some innocent people to use their service.
I am also posting their poor service , worst attitude in detail to avoid future bookings for this group. Atleast this way we are doing something good for society.
