Two months back, I shifted my household items from Bangalore to Chennai thru Agarwal Packers& Movers. As I had many fragile items, I wanted to entrust the job to some reliable people. I chose Agarwal, as they were supposed to be the "best"! And soon I could realize that it was the greatest blunder I had ever done! They initially impressed me with their "manner of talking and packing things" (Anybody will as they carry wooden & plastic boxes to suit their customer's needs!! ) and promised to deliver it on time.

However, it was late night when I received my things, with lots of excuses for delay. And to my shock, most of the crockery and glass panes of my TV trolley were completely broken! And one item had completely gone missing. When contacted, I got the casual reply that I should lodge a complaint and claim for insurance .And that they will search for my lost item.

(As though this is not the first time this is happening and I'm not the first person having such experience!). And unfortunately, that's the fact, I'm not the first person! Now I understand there are so many people like me who had the same bad experience with Agarwal packers. So its my sincere advice to people that DON'T ever go for AGARWAL PACKERS.

    Unfortunately I have read this message a little too late. I too have gone through a similar harrowing experience by  engaging Agarwal Packers for shifting of household goods from Ghaziabad to Ahmedabad.

    I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST TO ALL THOSE WHO READ NEVER TO ENGAGE AGARWAL PACKERS AND NEVER TO GIVE ADVANCE PAYMENT TO ANY PACKER.

      I agree. We shifted our goods from Mumbai to bangalore with agarwal packers and movers and they said that the 19 feet truck container lock will open at my door in Bangalore. Howevr when it reached we found that they opened it on the way to bangalore and loaded the goods of other people and damaged my goods. My computer table was totally brokn.  When the agarwal packers n movers guys wr packing the goods i told them to pack the computer table properly bt the packing guy was really cheap and ill manner and sai "no,  it will go this way, we wont pack it, we know how to shift"...n put his leg on it.

      Now when we r contacting Mumbai incharge My. Arvind , he is saying that it can happend, we loaded other persons goods, so what. We do this way only.

      I would like to suggest, specially to women, not to tke agarwal pckers service because these pepel are really dirty n do not know how to behave with a lady...any ugly behavious you can expect frm them...SO PLZ BEWRE....

          Here is my landline number 044-28353738. Lets see if you keep your word and take the "matter further". The goods were packed and picked up in Delhi on June 30. They were supposed to be delivered on or before July 7. I was here in Chennai till July 7 night to receive and inspect goods. Instead, the goods were not delivered till July 9/10 leaving my old parents to deal with it.

          All of the items below are only 5-6 months old. Furniture items were made-to-order from Pepperfry and delivered in Delhi over a period in December 2012, and January/February 2013.

          1 sofa cum chair, 1 chest of drawers, 1 table, 1 reclining chair, 1 washing machine, 1 nest of tables. Rest mostly kitchen items and clothes. ALL furniture items have some level of damage. Washing machine had significant damage.

          We have spoken to customer care representatives and all that. No word of apology. They all sound like Goondas, and raise their voices. They do not listen. Especially Ethiraj in Chennai. They told my parents and I that such things are bound to happen during shipping and delivery. Is that so?

          (1) Table: one edge broken off (2 inches in width, 0.5 inch depth). Scratch marks everywhere. Sticky layer of some white substance that just won't come up.
          (2) Chest of drawers: 15 cms of wood on the last drawer cracked. If it wall of the drawer had not been so thick, the drawer would have a see-through crack.
          (3) Sofa cum chair: One arm joint completely broken. Scratches everywhere.
          (4) Nest of tables: 2 inch piece of wood has broken off on one of the legs.
          (5) Washing machine: door was too tight to open when Ethiraj inspected. My mom told him not to open. IFB technician tried opening it, and lock was broken. So the door has to be broken open and replaced. Rs 3000 or more. Similar, bottom of detergent dispenser is broken.
          (6) Clothes drying rack: one of the rods bent out of shape.
          (7) Dish rack: plastic, broken.
          (8) 1 drinking glass out of 4 broken
          And since we are only now unpacking (I arrived in Chennai this morning), there might be more to add to this list. Proclaiming you shift our items like you shift a baby is rather lame when you cannot deal with a studio apartment worth of things properly. It does not matter if the baby is dead, lame or has a knee scratch when delivered. A damage is a damage in customer's eye.

          I do not want your carpenter to touch my made-to-order furniture. Repainting it, or putting a nail where none existed is not acceptable. You want my clothes to tear on the nail? Spoil the aesthetics of the piece?

          What is worse is that I supervised packing, and lined all items with cushioning and all that to avoid EXACTLY this. Your packers in Delhi did not bring bubble wrap for glass items. They brought newspapers, and told me bubble wrap is only for international shipping. However, I had enough bubble wrap and insisted that all fragile items be packed ONLY in that.

          Did your vehicle have an accident? Did you NOT transport my goods in a container truck as promised? Explain! And more importantly, I want my table replaced. Take this away. You order the same piece from Pepperfry, and I wait 30-45 days till it gets delivered. Because thats how long it takes get a piece like this.

          Also, delivery experience was horrible
          (1) 5 men delivered goods. My parents tipped them Rs 300. They refused to leave till they got Rs 500. Why? For successfully DAMAGING my goods? Irony.
          (2) My house is in the center of Chennai. It is easy to find. However, they made my dad come somewhere else and bring them to the house.

          All in all, I will NEVER EVER trust you with my babies again. You are horrible people. You show such a nice face while packing, and then this is what we have to deal with after delivery. You deserve a BAD reputation.

        yes, i fully agree with the above, they are irresposible persons, the least bother about the carefulness. i had shifted my family from nagpur to bangalore on 19.5.13 and reached to bagalore on 23.5.13.  some of the items were damaged which they were partly attended by their carpenter.  the unpacking material they have kept in my home only saying that our vehicle will come and collect, nobody had come its one month is over. so many time i contacted the customer care and the nagpur & bangalore agarwal people, they just made a note and simply leaving as nothig has happened.  they dont bother after unloading the goods....but they are advertising that we are LIMCA award winers,  but what for i dont know...

            Manoj ji,hmne is agarwal packer mover se saman mangwaya h bangalore to gurgaon but hmara almost evey expensive item has STOLEN.my watches,bangles,saree,goggles,dinner sets,even agarwals stolen my GOD made of silver.and my two boxes are empty totally EMPTY.every box and every item is cheched by ur workers which is rapped in bubble rap.I will take a legal action on this..i am not gona loose.

        I disagree with this comment, because I also shifted from Chennai to Jaipur,

        And used the services of Agarwal and packers and Movers ( DRS Group ), they packed all my belongigs well and delivered on time and without any complaint

        And the behaviyour of the team is so good,

        And their centrailized customer care department based at their Head office so good they updated the status of shipment time to time

        I strongly recomend to use the services of Agarwal packers and Movers ( Drs group ) for any short of relocation

        And pl be ware of ?Fruad companies

          Sandhya Ji , I totally disagree with you.DRS is another fraud company with head office in Hyderabad.They neither pick things in time nor deliver at home.They keep outside the building and say (all including Sh Reddy of Hyd/Ranchi/Patna's Manoj and Manish/Gurgaon based employees) that taking goods inside house is not their responsibility.Packing quality is not what it was in early 2000.Insufficient and improper packing.No bubble wraps/spl. packing for coats.Even newspaper they took from us.They are all interested in tips and more tips.Please do not ever transport thro DRS Agarwal Packers and Movers who claim to have an office in Hyderabad .Once they did not even give insurance company details when goods were delivered in damaged condition thou they charged separately for insurance and took value details of items. Even God may not be able to save  if you propose to shift household goods thro DRS Agarwal Packers and Movers who inaptly call themselves shifting experts.

          They are very good and their packing cruw is so good and with uniform and as per our well and wish they have packed our goods, my last shifting was Ex: Kolkatta to Delhi on 11.06.2015

          And we wants to appriciate that their centralized customer care division based at their head office at Secunderabad is so good that they are informing about the status of our shipment every 24 hrs , as comitted by them they have delivered the goods

          Hence I strongly recomend all pl go through for your shiftings with Agarwal packers and Movers ( DRS Group ) and check that their head office is based at Secunderabad

          Pl be aware of fruad companies

          I had a terrible experience with Agarwal Movers and Packers last month when moving from Pune to Mumbai.  They gave a quote of 24,000.   They spent two hours loading the things and then I had to sit and wait for four hours before the truck arrived.   They would not load the things until I agreed to pay more taxes and expenses of about 30 percent of the original quote.   The things were stored for two days before coming to Mumbai.  Upon arrival in Mumbai, the movers were rude.    They sifted through my things to see what they were, looked me up and down constantly.  The worst was a the end.   I was standing there, a woman alone, and they demanded 5000 more from me.    He stood with such a dirty look on his facea and started ordering the men to take the things back to the truck if I wouldn't pay it.    After they left, I found the following:  Two lamps were completely broken.  They had written in black permanent marker on all the chairs, and the gas rangetop for cooking was missing.  There has been no follow-up call and no way to claim insurance which was mandatory.   Please use this story anytime.  I would love this company to be exposed and to go under ~ Mana22SoulScience@gmail.com

          I am also a victim of the WORST packers (Agarwal).  Friends, do not get cheated by seeing their awards and initial presentations.  Once you pay money, you need to run behind them like anything.

          Not even a single item (Fridge, washing machine, glass items, tv unit, sofa, steel bero, etc, etc) came as it is.  I wonder how they managed to break all my items.

          Now I am running behind them for the claim.

          You guys, please please please do not go for Agarwal packers.

            Even my self and my friend used the services of Agarwal pakcers and Movers ( DRS Group), which is in corporated in 1987, based at their head office at Secunderabad ( Andhra Pradesh )

            They have given excellent service and their handling of customer greaveyances is so appriciable

            Pl choose the original company while shifting, be aware of Fruad companies

              these Agrawal packers from drs group showing limca award head office at based at their head office at Secunderabad ( Andhra Pradesh ) everything matches . they open boxes in transit and removes all the untouched and new products leaving back used products.. after you receive the goods they are more arrogant then the local tapories and timely deliveries and servies are the next worst part ... instead of oppology their manager mr manoj nain the branch head told me that you have got the lower deal hence how you expect timely delivery "jaisa paisa vese kaam" having their branch office at chawda complex amravati road wadi nagpur....
              Please be safe guys and never to chose the agrawal packers and movers .. I am still waiting my claims to be answered where 12000 worth material is missing...
              I am also going to launch a police FIR against these thevies...
              Would have read these reviews earlier would have chosen some other services

            As you traped by duplicate agarwals, even i shifted through with agarwal packers and movers from Chenni to Hyderabad , they have done very good job, i never faced any problem

            And their head office is there at Secunderabad , trust you would have used some other packers, i suggust all dear friend use the services of agarwal packers  and movers  ( DRS Group ) and their head office is based at secunderabad .Pl check twice before using

                #AgarwalpackersandMoversltd is worst group and group lead by fraudesters. They moved my bike R15 Version 2.0 (1.5 Lacs) from Punjab to Pune and damaged the bike bady. They delivered bike in 15 days and scratched the whole bike. I got to know they took help from local packers and movers and you cannot track the consignment online. I request everbody dont move your bike from Agarwal Packers and Movers Ltd. Fraudesters

        I  trusted them for my office relocation most of my stuff is made of glass, i was so tense about my things,But when i personally saw the packing method i thought like i could belive agarwal packers and movers of Drs group i guess was total correct they shifted entire things safely except a coffee cup but iif i shift again sure i prefer them again.

        i also gone through my worst experience with the great no 1 DRS agarval packers when i shifted my luggage from b'lore to pune, most of the wood items came in scratches & few mdf items like study table, book rack damaged. i suggest people to be very careful with these DRS agarval packers because no one will take the responsibility .  worst nightmare & very very bad experience.

            and they have informed the status of the goods every 24 hrs from the date of loading and until its delivery

        I recently shifted my home from Mumbai to Delhi. I was told that Agarwal Packers provide the best of services but charges were high. Nevertheless I agreed as my office was taking care of my house shifting. I soon realized that there was very little difference between Agarwal and any roadside packer. The charges were exhorbitant almost three times to what a normal transporter charges in the name of extreme care they are supposed to take. Glass ware namely crockery landed up broken, they delivered my stuff eight days later although they had promised four days and hence a higher charge. Most interestingly my car which they transported seemed unrecognizable full of dust, grease and scratches. The oil in the tank had dissappeared. When asked they said we need to speak to the insurance when they had promised that they would replace anything reported lost and broken. I have now realized that I was bluffed I will never advice Agarwal to anyone. It makes much better sense to go for a normal transporter - at least you are mentally prepared for small losses. Worse they promise a lot and do nothing and charge you through the nose. I am very dissappointed.

          I agree.... Worst company ever..... Even a local packers would do a better job. I shifted my household goods from agwrwal( original drs group) from Hyderabad to Bangalore... They lost my big sofa. That means they open the truck and take out stuff on the way. There were lot of other stuff also packed inside the sofa. Now when we are asking for our sofa they are using foul language. NEVER USE AGARWAL PACKERS AND MOVERS IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR STUFF

        False promises- 14 feet carriage instead of promised quotation for 19 feet. Total third party Unreliable Model- All transporters based in nigdi/dapodi. The same transporter will give you quotation for same material and shifting for 9k independently and 13k if done through agarwal packers. No assurance of quality Fraud- They dint give me a proper bill and said quotation is good enough. Those criminals are even defrauding government by not paying taxes. Conniving Goons- Transporter workers carrying your luggage themselves call Mathadi Union Guys and do setting with them for half and half. Will not move your carriage and unload unless and until you pay them lump sum extra money. My carriage was stopped at nanded city main gate and there were no mathadi union guys around, they called and waited deliberately for them to come and were encouraging them. Its only when i started shouting they unwillingly took the carriage inside my building. Then i got a call from agarwal's relocation manager from pune Virender Singh Sheoran who threatened me that they will not unload and will bring back luggage next day which will cost me 5-6k extra. He gave me excuse that mathadi union guys will not let unload luggage which was not the case as no union or outside person is allowed inside nanded city societies and security is very strict. So i had to budge and pay as it was already 9 at night All in all agarwal packers is a waste of money. I shelled out nearly double the money just for the sake of brand name with the same quality services and less bunch of papers to sign. I had previously shifted within pune city many times before but never ever faced any mathadi union guys. Thanks to agarwal packers for a wonderful once in a life time experience. My advice is negotiate hard on price and ask for a house visit quotation to avoid last minute hassle, compare number of boxes and bubble rap packing material, try to save on money as domestic shifting quality is more or less same.

                       My consignment (used House hold goods ) was dispatched on 21-06-2015 from Delhi Rohine sector 13 flat 2b through Agarwal  packers and movers and now it has been 9 days still my consignment has not reached destination and your staff is not able to track my consignment and not able to provide me valuable feed back .
        For a truck to cover 1000 km distance(delhi to srinagar) will take only 3 days , but now it has been 9 days and your staff members are not enough smart to update me current status of my consignment and stating with the reason that the truck driver cell number not working . This seems unprofessional and i pay the money in advance .I experience very bad service and spend alot  of money on phone calls  , but all in vain .
        I request your good self please look into the matter, that will be yours most kindness.

        Really worst experience of life. Firstly they dont deliver all the goods, ask for money in advance and now when you ask for your missing goods they dont take your call. Claims guy never comes not a phone call to take appointment. These people really harress customers. Never take services of agarwal DRS group.

        This is what exactly my expeeience with mr kuldeep faridabad branch was...he promised us lamination of all furniture but 6 of my dining chairs were not even packed...on complaining we were thretened to take our furniture if we dont pay the full amt which was 1.5 times higher than ny other movers n packers...feel cheated n hoerible...n moreover this shameless person told us to be grateful that atleast 80 percent pf our furniture was packed...truly said by namrata they r gundas hired as marketing managers

        They have delivered most of my items like mattress and pillows in a completely wet condition. Very pathetic sense of service as they are supposed to know the consequences of shifting during rains. I was promised a closed container but a small open truck was provided. Did not expect this from a reputed company like this.

        I am too facing the same trouble.
        My materials lifted on Friday from Pune and delivery was assured for Sunday.
        As on date materials is not reached Hyderabad. None of the APM member is picking the phone and informing status. Everyday they are saying it is coming tonight.
        Lost faith in APM and the team
