Hello,

A warning for anyone that gets a telemarketing call from AT&T YellowPages.com. My wife and I own a small mom and popbusiness and my wife received a call and listened to the person go through their services, but when he gave my wife the pricing she told him that she would speak with me and he'd contact her the next day. When the next day came she told him no not now.

They proceeded to bill us and said that from part of the conversation they consider it an ok for the expensive but totally useless service. A billion dollar company screwing over a mom and pop. Know they are trying to sue us for failing to make any payments in a service which we did not want.

I guess billion dollar companies and their lawyers think it's ok to screw mom and pop stores and my guess is that the idiotic court system will probably side with them since the supposedly have a voice recording, but coincidently without the end section nor the day after part just cut down to what the contracted telemarketer (who no longer with them for some undisclosed reason) are using as the ok. I guess that since they can no loger use their marketing tactic on people now they have started on mom and pop's.

Has anyone received collection letters from YP stating that you may be sued, and still didn't pay YP?  Just wondering if they make good on their threats.  (I owe $2900 and refuse to pay because I went out of businness and my credit was destroyed as a result of their horrible tactics that I fell victim to).  I

Thanks for the heads up. I will never buy any yellow pages advertising.

I live and advertise is North Texas,  April 2013, YP sent a bill three times the amount of my previous contract monthly amount.
I immediately disputed and asked for confirmation of contract.  They have since been unable to provide a recording of third party confirmation, or a signed contract.  I have extended them every courtesy to pay at the previous rate and they have not agreed.  I threatened to sue in small claims court if YP chooses to report my lack of payment and hurt my credit rating.  If there are others in this same situation, then please respond via email at dfwcarpentry@verizon.net.

we have been loyal customers to yellow pages for 8 years, we advertised our business here, but once we sold the business they are now trying to rip us off  blaming me and saying i never told them on time and the add had already gone to print so now I have to pay $276.00 dollars for a business ad and we don't even own the business. it's disgusting instead of ringing the new owner and asking him if he wanted to take it over. thats what you get for paying your bills on time. What goes round comes round. Totally disgusted with the way we were treated.

The [***] called me and tried to market EVEN THOUGH I HAD CHECKED THE BOX "I DON'T WANT TO BE CONTACTED". He lied and said I said i wanted to be contacted.

When I said, "please remove me from marketing lists" he said "OK I'LL DELETE ALL YOUR LISTINGS" AND IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP THE PHONE!!!

He then refused to pick up the phone!!

    What an [***]!!!

I called and talked to a supervisor who reported him, then fixed my listings right away. Although now my listings won't be around for 24 hours.
