Cancelled 14 day trial but charged $69 to credit

In spite of cancelling the 14 day trial offer from Instaflex they went ahead nearly 30 days later and charged my credit card for $69.00.  When calling the customer service number, the rep was insulant and it was like pulling teeth to get the Return Merchandise Authorization number.  Get this they say it will take 14-30 days to process refund.  I insisted that they close my account, cancel any future charges AND provide the RMA#.

This is the typical SCAM.  Their product is realliy nothing more than what is available at any drug store throughout the U.S. AT A FRACTION OF THE COST...

BEWARE OF INSTAFLEX AND THEIR GAMES

IF they either fail to reverse a charge they agreed to refund, or they charge you any additional unauthorized charges, immediately contact your bank to dispute their unauthorized charges as fraudulent, and close your checking or credit card account to prevent additional unauthorized charges.

Be sure you dispute any unauthorized charges within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charges in order to invoke your FRB Reg. E or FCBA dispute rights.

I too, was being scam by Instaflex.
After the trial offer, I receive a 30 days supply, my credit card
was charged $74.98.  I did not ask them for extra shipment.

Instaflex will not return money, the only way is like I do,
cancel my credit card and get a new card with new numbers
and never buy anything on line unless the company is honest.

I only use my credit card on line to buy credits from SKYPE.

I HAVE CALLED ABOUT A RETURNED BOTTLE OF INSTAFLEX FOR 5 MONTHS AND HAVE STILL NOT RECIEVED MY REFUND. THEY GAVE ME A NUMBER TO SEND IT BACK AND I WALKED INTO THE POST OFFICE AND HANDED IT TO THE POSTAL WORKER. WHEN I CALL FOR A REFUND ALL I GET IS THE RUNAROUND THAT THEY NEVER RECIEVED THE RETURN. IS'NT IT FUNNY THAT THEY COULD DELIVER IT TO ME BUT I CAN'T SEND IT BACK TO THEM.I AM SO TIRED OF GETTING SCAMED BY ALL OF THESE ONLINE COMPANIES. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING AGAIN.

I am a retired attorney. Never send anything back to a company for a refund without insisting that you get from the post office a signature upon delivery and a tracking number. You may need to add postage for it, but if you want your refund it is often worth it.

It is also wise to challenge the purchase with your credit card company After a week or two of not getting notice that they received Some credit card companies, though, are just as bad as the retailer/manufacturer you bought the product from. There are though good ones. My personal experience with Chase, Citi, and GE Financial cards has been fair to very poor. My experience with a US Bank credit card has been good to very good. These are just my own personal opinion based on my experience with their credit cards over time.

You should contact in writing your own  state government consumer protection agency and the same with the agency in the state where the company's return address is.

Most of all make and keep photo copies of all your paperwork. Always follow up with the company in writing. You can call them, but, always follow up in writing summing up your conversation.  Keep a copy of your letter.

This may seem like much work, and it is. The fact that it is so much work  is the reason that many companies get rich at your expense.

6/19/10 - I was thinking of ordering this product through the instaflex website and while I was filling out the form - then I got to the page to pay for the shipping and handling of the 14 day "FREE" product & also read that I would agree to them sending me a month supply every month at a crazy price of $69 and change.   At that point, I decided to to provide my credit card information and backed out of the free product.
I then researched the product & found that GNC was selling the same product at a discounted price with shipping for a total of $48.98 which I had ordered from them.   I'm still waiting on the product to be delivered and eager to see if the product really works.   I have also been checking with my local doctor to see if this supplement will interact with any of the medications that I'm currently taking.
    Eagerly waiting.
