Cancelled 14 day trial but charged $69 to credit

Complaint

In spite of cancelling the 14 day trial offer from Instaflex they went ahead nearly 30 days later and charged my credit card for $69.00.  When calling the customer service number, the rep was insulant and it was like pulling teeth to get the Return Merchandise Authorization number.  Get this they say it will take 14-30 days to process refund.  I insisted that they close my account, cancel any future charges AND provide the RMA#.

This is the typical SCAM.  Their product is realliy nothing more than what is available at any drug store throughout the U.S. AT A FRACTION OF THE COST...

BEWARE OF INSTAFLEX AND THEIR GAMES

How dare you people charge my card for a supply of Instaflex that I did not authorize...this is underhanded and to think you  can advertise and get people to try your INFERIOR product this way is beyond reproach.  I expect that you will cancel this order at once and credit my account or I will legally persue action against you.  If you attempt to use my credit card in this way again I will have no other choice but to take action.  According to the many complaints in the above page I will have all the support I need.  This is outrageous!!!!!!!  I would appreciate a response to this complaint..... if you have any integrity left!!!!!!!

Just for the record....I do not see my original complaint in the above list...why is that????....maybe because it was too revealing ....
I want to cancel my order for any future  Instaflex delivered to my address or any charges to my account.  I will also contact the BBB as many are doing.
Also,   what you printed out on the internet about having a 100% money back guarantee is NOT TRUE...Are you lying?????? Because I want my money back ....I do not find the product helpful.  AS of this date August 21st 2010...I am cancelling the order for monthly delivery (that I did not make by the way)...I will call the phone # to also cancel  but according to many others you do not make this easy for the customer and give promises over the phone that you do not keep or you do not answer the phone..... Where is your integrity?????

I think daily we will have someone post a message just as one of them above.
It happened to me as well. I am being charged the $74.98 without my authorization. This scam has been in history for a long time. I think our goverment needs to step in and have a law to prevent this kind of company doing scam like this any more.

The representative from the company is quite unfriendly. I am sure it is a hard job for her to deal with so many un-happy customer who had been played tricks on.

    Metroski the idiot
I've been reading many of the complaints exactly as mine. I should have known better than order on line. This is the second time with a product I have been caught with. Isn't anyone trustworthy anymore? I ordered the sample, paid for it and before the 30 days was billed $74.09 . Both bottles sit on my desk. Donot at the moment have an address to return them. I have not opened them, waiting for Dr. to ok the contents and  having been hospitalized. Add one more sucker to their list. The Credit card Companies should have a new rule that no additional charges can be added without first getting an ok from the owner.

Same deal.  Deceit!!!  Deceit!!! Deceit!!! Charged for monthly order.  Immediately called to cancel upon receipt of monthly supply.  No mention of returning product, RMA procedures.  Cancelation granted.  Billed anyway.  Called back to get an RMA# and process.  Order returned.  Refund???  I'll probably have a similar experience to others who have complained.

I too ordered the 14 day free trial and was correctly charged only $4.99 and two weeks later I received a 30 day bottle.  They charged my CC for $74.99.  I wish I had remembered to call in and cancel it.  It does work - but has the same ingredients that I have used successfully in the past at significantly less money.  I feel I legitimately accepted the offer and the conditions so I'm not going to try and return the product.  I have called and canceled all future shipments.  They immediately sent me a cancellation email - which I can use if they later charge something to me - the CC companies will reverse it if I send that to them and charge back to Instaflex so I don't have any concerns for the future.  One interesting thing, I told them the price was too high and they offered to lower the price to $34.98 per 30 day supply - they said that is their cost.  When I rejected that, they then offered to send me a 45 day supply for that same $34.98 - instantly admitting that the former statement was a lie.  So, you can buy it cheaper from them and if it works for you - do that.

BUT - the big thing is - don't cry just because you accepted an offer and agreed to something then didn't keep track and cancel it yourself.  It is so much easier just to do your own due diligence and set reminders to yourself to cancel things - and take advantage of the policies of your credit card companies.  But own up to the fact that you did enter into a business agreement and don't try to weasel out of it.  Know thyself!

I too like a dummy believed that I was only ordering a sample.  The charge came out of my CC account instantly.  When I checked my account I discovered that had deducted $74.98 as far as I am concerned without my consent.  My bank - Wells Fargo - is absolutely no help as usual!  I called this morning asking for a refund and was given an RMA# and told to put "Return to Sender" when the package arrived and within 10 days of receiving their product back they would credit my account.  After reading all these messages I am skeptical.  Oh and by the way my knee pain INCREASED within 3 days of trying this product.  I wish I had seen this site befor I ordered!

    I tried it
I had some aches and pains in my joints and thought to try this out.  Everything was legitimate IAW the plan that was presented.  I used the free 14 day sample, was autoshipped the next 30 day sample, didn't notice any significant results so called to cancel.  Got a nice lady the first time and they offered it to me a for a lower price and suggested on how I was to use it.  I tried it again for a couple more months and still not seeing any significant improvements for what I thought it would do for me.  Called today to discontinue any further shipments and charges, got another very nice lady and hopefully everything will work out as they said.  All in all it seems to be a very respectable company, just the product didn't work for me... I have nothing bad to say about Instaflex or the customer service I have received.

I do not work for Instaflex or affiliated with the company.

I am sorry for those who say they were scamed, but that is not true. Yes, there are some people who took the required steps to obtain a refund and those who cancelled their subscribion in there trial period and were charge anyways! These customers did want they were suppose to and the company did not honor the agreement: which states that if a customer who cancels their subscription before the trial period ended; they will not be charged; these customer deserve a refund. Grated most of us do not read the terms and conditions, before placing an ordering, sign-up for email newsletter or just be come a club memeber.

However, for those who order the trial subscription and did not cancel their order, the company had the right to charge you. Because it states on the website that after trial period expires you will automatically  be enrolled in there Auto-Ship. Under a big bright orange arrow that says "Act now to claim your 14 day trial of Instaflex:it states "Click the "Rush My Trial" button at right to receive a free 14-day trial of Instaflex. Pay only shipping and handling today and have no obligation to buy anything in the future as long as you call to cancel within 18 days after the date you place your order. (This allows 4 days shipping and processing plus your 14 day trial period). To cancel, call 1-877-869-3310. If you don't cancel within the next 18 days, you will be automatically enrolled in the Instaflex Auto-Ship Program. Begining at the end of the trial period and about every 30 days thereafter, we will send you a one month supply of Instaflex for the highly discounted rate of $69.99 plus $4.99 for shipping and handling, automatically charged to the card you provide today. Cancel any time"

Instaflex may not be the best company or have the greatest cutomer service, however, they can not be sued because you think that you did not give them permission to charge you. In all actuality, you did give them permission when you clicked a box where it says "I agree to the terms and conditions"; it is your fault that you agree to the terms and did not read them!

A company by law can not be blamed for people's ignorance; which means you can not persue a Class Action Suit against them, because you did not read the terms stated on their website. Located below I have copyed and pasted Instaflex Terms and Conditions which is located on the website.
Again,I do not work for Instaflex or affiliated with the company.

    Instaflex- Terms of Offer

By placing an order through this website, you agree to the terms and conditions set for the below. Please read through these terms carefully before placing your order and print a copy for future reference. How Does the Trial Offer with Auto-Ship Work?

You must pay a shipping and handling fee of $4.99 for us to send you a 14 day trial supply of Instaflex. We typically ship the product the day after you place your order (except that orders placed Friday-Sunday will be shipped the following Monday). We allow up to 4 days for you to receive the trial supply. Thus, in order for you to have 14 days to try the product, we consider the end date for your trial period to be 18 days after you place your order, which is 14 days plus 4 days for processing and transit.

If you do not call customer service to cancel within [18] days of ordering your free trial, you will be charged $74.98 plus any applicable tax to the card you used to place your trial order. You will also be enrolled in our auto-ship program. See details below.

    Auto-Ship Program
Unless you cancel before the end of your trial period as specified above (within 18 days after placing your order), you will automatically be enrolled in our Auto-Ship program. We will ship your first 30-day supply of Instaflex at the end of your trial period, and you will be charged $74.98 plus any applicable tax. Thereafter, you will continue to receive a fresh 30-day supply of Instaflex about every 30 days for as long as you stay a member of our auto-ship program. The card you provided when you ordered the trial product will be automatically charged $74.98 (plus tax if applicable) when each new product ships. To cancel future shipments in the auto-ship program, you must call 1-877-869-3310 at least 1 day prior to the date that your next monthly delivery ships.

Way to go--calling both the BBB and the credit card co.  I too have been billed for $74.98.  Point is too, they don't send an invoice with the bottle--makes it look like the "sample" period is still going on.

Never order anything on line that is a sample and has automatic payments.  It almost makes me feel as though I can't trust the Internet for any commercial transaction.  But all of you out there:  if you suspect a scam, make a lot of noise --with the credit card issurer, the bank, the Better Business Bureau.  There should be a centralized agency for keeping track of internet scams--something beyond merely posting a complaint for a particular product.
