Cancelled 14 day trial but charged $69 to credit

In spite of cancelling the 14 day trial offer from Instaflex they went ahead nearly 30 days later and charged my credit card for $69.00.  When calling the customer service number, the rep was insulant and it was like pulling teeth to get the Return Merchandise Authorization number.  Get this they say it will take 14-30 days to process refund.  I insisted that they close my account, cancel any future charges AND provide the RMA#.

This is the typical SCAM.  Their product is realliy nothing more than what is available at any drug store throughout the U.S. AT A FRACTION OF THE COST...

BEWARE OF INSTAFLEX AND THEIR GAMES

I've read your complaints in this blog.  I just called to cancel and got a very nice guy who went through everything with me and said it would be cancelled and receipted on my E-Mail account.  It looks legit at this point but I wil hold further comments to see if all is well. J8V7

Do you have the telephone number where you actually talked to a person and not a machine?  If you do please send.

      Thank you

I never order trial products. First it is nearly always impossible to send it back. And after you do, you still do not get your money back. Even if you send the product back before the limited day period, they continue to take money from your credit card. I did it once, and never again.

One other problem is they never tell you the full price of the product while they are offering the trial. And if it turns out you like it and cannot afford the regular price, you don't know. There seems to be no point to a trial without the knowledge. Like it and perhaps not be able to afford it. So I find the regular web site and check to see what the regular price is.

Just had the same problem and called them. I stayed on hold for 42 minutes and finally got a nasty consultant on the phone insisting that I should learn to read. I guess a Ph.D. is not enough education to deal with this company. Still waiting for a refund. Got the bank to reverse the charge, period.

I ordered the trial size and paid $4.99 with my gift card. I have not cancelled yet because I'm on day four. I am not worrying to much about them charging the card I used because like the other person wrote if no $$$ is on the card they can't get $$$.

To avoid any future charges to your credit card some credit card companies (e.g. Chase) allows you to create a temporary card number charged to your permanent card.  It's specifically used for a "one time" charge and no one can use that number again to re-charge your account.  The Internet is rife with all these "too good to be true" come-ons.  Don't be duped.

Oh boy---should have checked this site first.   Ordered the "free"  size.   My credit card arrived with a charge of $74.98.   Called the company,  talked with a pleasant guy who gave me info on returning it,  plus he immediately credited my account for $40.   Checked with my Visa person,  who said pay the remaining ammount,  return the "free" sample.   I am sending it registered mail.   Also contacted the FTC,  who is putting a black mark against this site.   Thru the years,   I have ordered many itmes from various sites with no problem.   But I contacted all the agencies I could think of to report this problem.   They are supportive and place the company on
the "do not buy from" list.  Hummm---how about a class action suit

I tried Insta- Flex for about a month.  When I tried to cancel after huge charges, the pleasant man on the phone offered to lower the price.  Red flag....I cancelled entire order.
Count me in on any class action lawsuit.

Don't give them your email address or your Cedit Card they will take your money for somethings that didn't work for me and cost 3X any other joint medication on the market. They have no proof that it works, no clemical stuties at all.

I always hate to jump to "scam" conclusions, but I too am very upset about the company.  I got the free bottle and was not upset about the $4.99 charge.  Now today, Aug.2, 2010 I receive another bottle and see that my debit card has an additional charge of $74.  I will investigate.
To the person who criticized us who use our debit card for purchasing items on the internet, I too have a Ph.D. and order lots of things on the internet--I have had no trouble until now.

This is a company that banks on many people not reading the small print.  It is building more and more angry non-customers to the obvious detriment of long term happy customers.  If the product was valuable then why does it require a marketing scam?

I called the company and the agent said that "many companies are doing the same thing" with respect to the small print of automatically charging customers after 18 days of a "free trial".  Shame on them.  Beware.

Don't waste your money or time.

I was scammed the very same way - ordered the free sample (which wasn't free $4.99 S/H and allowed them to get the credit card number) and then they sent a 30 day supply for $74.98 - I never asked for this nor did I knowingly agree to it.  Stay as far away from this scam as you can.
