Cancelled 14 day trial but charged $69 to credit

Complaint

In spite of cancelling the 14 day trial offer from Instaflex they went ahead nearly 30 days later and charged my credit card for $69.00.  When calling the customer service number, the rep was insulant and it was like pulling teeth to get the Return Merchandise Authorization number.  Get this they say it will take 14-30 days to process refund.  I insisted that they close my account, cancel any future charges AND provide the RMA#.

This is the typical SCAM.  Their product is realliy nothing more than what is available at any drug store throughout the U.S. AT A FRACTION OF THE COST...

BEWARE OF INSTAFLEX AND THEIR GAMES

I just went through this scam but I think I came out OK  If you want your money back you have to ask for it.
1-  Call the phone 1-877-869-3310  Ask to cancell your Enrollment
You may need your Cuctomer Number and your Order Number
2-   Ask for a refund on your unopened bottle   They will try for
a reduction in cost to you .Tell them you want a refund and request a
Return Authorization Number  Write it down
    3-   Ask for a return address       "    "   '
4-   Return the unopened bottle by registered Mail at the Post Office

They credited my credit card in 7 days.

I got 14 day trial and next thing I know I have a bottle of 90 in the mail. I didn't agree to this, I just wanted to try it then if it worked I was going to GNC to purchase more. I think it works really well, but I don't need them sending it to me without authorization. I will pay for this bottle but I will stop payment on any future bottles.

it's funny that you people [***] about this on some random website on the internet and find out that bitching about it isn't going to stop people from ordering it.  Like the terms and conditions said that were sent to you IN AN EMAIL, if you didn't call to cancel within 18 days, then you would be charged 69.99 + 4.99 shipping and handling.  I'm a lawyer, whenever a customer comes into to me with these kinds of disputes, I tell them that there is absolutely nothing I can do since the terms and conditions backed it up.  It is unethical.  But it's still "legal."

Oh and remember, bitching about it on the internet isn't going to solve a darn thing.  Call in and fix it yourselves.

All the complaints actually helped people like me. I have learned the hard way to check for complaints online before ordering anything.  I didn't even open the link in the ad since I trusted the comments of so many folks who were fed up enough to post their story. So even though they didn't help themselves, they saved countless others from the same fate.
The reason I was cautious in the first pIace was that I too was scammed several years ago. So I know how easily consumers are tricked into agreeing to autoshippments. Now I either read all the small print or don't order items that are advertised with  free samples.

I, too, experienced the same difficulties.  It seems to me that a company needs the approval of its customers before they are to assume that their product should automatically be sent after the trial period.  What a SCAM!  I am now out the money they took out of my credit card account.  I was just sent another package, and it had better be taken off our account pronto!

I ordered and received the trial offer.  I paid particular attention to NOT ORDERING any further offers.  Today I saw where my credit card was charged $74.98 for a thirty day supply of this "wonder drug".  I am pursuing reprisal and the return of my $74.98 by means of a bank process called "dispute".  I have had to use this process before, and it has worked in the past.  It is too bad that tall trees and short ropes are no longer in style for this charlatan type of enterprise.

What a SCAM.  I ordered a trial and discovered that once they had my credit card, they kept sending me a supply and charging my card $74.98 per month.  I was furious when I returned from overseas to find two bottles and a two-month charge of $149.96 on my card.  This is NOT the way to do business if it were a reputable company.  They have agreed to return one month but only $40.00 for the second month supply.  I am sending both bottles back to them and hoping they give a full refund; however, my suspicions at this point leave me wondering.  NEVER AGAIN will I order like this - off the Internet.

Dear People ..... I'm 59 years old. "Been there Done that!"  Everyone PLEASE listen to what I'm saying here.... ANYTIME YOU SEE AN ADVERTISEMENT ON THE INTERNET OR ON TV THAT SAYS, "FREE SAMPLE"  FORGET IT! DON'T EVEN LOOK AT IT A SECOND TIME! RUN FROM IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN! BECAUSE, IT'S A SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! "FREE SAMPLES" ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE UNWANTED STRINGS ATTACHED! So please remember the next time you think you're going to get something for nothing... I told you so! You're going to get ripped off!

I had the same problem! I did not order any further InstaFlex but they took out over $74.oo from my checking account now I am overdrawn by $89 - and
when I called them they claimed (nastily) that I had to return the item when it is received - they claim 5/28 - then, I have to wait TWO MORE WEEKS FOR A REFUND...In the meantime, I am disputing this charge and fraudulent behavior of this company (send a letter to your Attorney General Consumer Dept. as I am doing) and have now signed a  Dispute Authorization with my bank. You all should do the same thing.
