For months have had unsolicited computerized calls day, night & weekends -  unrelenting.......I finally waited for a rep to come on and asked for their name and location, was disconnected; another told me my number would be removed; another said they were 'dealer warranty services' and I asked where and he said South Florida, then disconnected; another disconnect, another promise to remove me from calling list, two more phone calls and finally a postcard yesterday......from 'Dealer Warranty Services'  at 3710 Mueller Road, St Charles, MO 63301 - phone # 800-581-1575, www.dws-us.biz
*69 does not help to trace call so not absolutely sure these are the same people, but plan to visit site, and possibly phone them.

fed up with all the postal spam
What these crooks are doing is sending postal spam.  I already asked this company to remove me from their marketing postal list.  I am guessing they never intended to comply. I'll try again but am doubtful they'll comply.

Are you people honestly THAT stupid?  Have any of you ever worked at a car dealer??  An insurance company? It's just an offer... calm down.

The person who wrote the original complaint said he works in the auto industry, so the only reason he doesnt like extended warranties is because he cant scare older people into buying new cars instead of just protecting the car they have now(so they can charge labor rates of $70-$110/hour). The dealers are not anybodies friend and will screw a customer faster than you can blink.
And if you look up the BBB in your area you will ALMOST be guaranteed to see a car dealer(new or used) in the top 10 of complaints. Car salesmen and finance & insurance people at the dealer are the real crooks.
They will take their low mile cars as a trade in(which they don't give them anything near what its worth with their mileage, because generally the customer doesnt know what the cars worth to begin with.)then they put them in a new car. They make commission off the new car sale, then they make even more money when they sell the trade-in vehicle for 2-3x what they gave the original owners for the trade-in.

And as far as warranty policies we sell not covering claims, the only reason a claim gets denied is if the customer takes it in before the waiting period (30 days), or lack of maintenance , or the vehicle was already broken down when the policy was started. If people would do their maintenance and follow the instructions on how to file a claim, which is printed in BOLD print on the first 2 pages of every contract sold.

So before you judge us, look at most other companies on the BBB. There are companies with hundreds or even thousands of complaints. If you actually did some research before you jump on the web to gripe about a postcard, you would see Dealer Warranty Services only has 17 complaints in 3 years. 16 of those complaints have been resolved with the customer and the BBB. The other complaint was acted on and the BBB said we made 'a more than reasonable attempt' to rectify the problem but the customer was to stubborn to accept it.

Have received post cards and phone calls.  Finally regestered at the Federal Do Not Call or Mail List.  This does help with the Phone calls.  I still get a few post cards from DWS.  DWS is a scam.  800 number is not listed on the reverse White Pages.  Throw away any cards you get.  You'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

Go to the Fair Trade Commision about the purchase.  If it is posible to get your money back, they will do it.

I have gotten 1 or 2 calls a day for about a year. I am on the "do not call" registry but it doesn't seem to matter. The phone number and caller ID is always different. If I get a person on the phone (it is usually a recording) I ask them what kind of car I own and they never get it right. When they realize that they are wrong, they hang up on me.

"dws-us.biz" THAT's a clue right there... No respectable business uses the *.biz domain.  Generally nicknamed *.scam or *.spam.

Missouri Attorney General's office knows of these scum.  Contact them to fill out a complaint form.

The scum that answer the phone try talking real slick.  I think it's fun to use pay phones, and call their toll free number and give them a taste of their own medicine on bothering people.  Not only do they have to pay for the phone call, but they have to pay a surcharge to each pay phone manufacturer.

Heck, sign them up for postal mailings like what happened to Alan Ralsky, the "Spam King".  Let these scum experience what it's like!

    Former Employee
I use to work for the auto warranty company in Plantation, Fl you are correct about the scam. They make about $250,000 a week in deals scamming elderly people and individuals who have brought vehicles. They purposely target older individuals because of vulnerability. I quit because the environment was completely unprofessional, there are no background checks for employees, there are convicted felons who have disclosed to me that they steal credit card numbers and information from individuals.

I was absolutely shocked how they taught us in training how to treat customers. We were told to hang up if they ask for a supervisor, curse them out if they get upset, and lie to them saying we are going to take there name off the list.

I only stayed for a week. I'm an honest person and it was unbearable hearing people as old as 93 begging and pleading for the phone calls to stop. I'm going to inform my local tv station, this place needs to be shut down. We read from scripts, lying about how long we have been in business and that we are affiliate with numerous manufactory and dealerships nationwide and in Canada. We even have to lie about what we cover for people's cars.
On top of these issues they were extremely prejudice towards three new employees whom are gay. Management openly criticize and ostracized these guys about their sexual preference. The result was they quit after a few days. They allowed employees to partake in gay bashing and made it uncomfortable for them to work there. So on top of selling scams we have a horrible work environment. Anyone who needs employment can be hired without background checks. We have several convicted felons working there. At least two individuals have disclosed to me that they were convicted of a felony, one said he killed someone with his vehicle and his license is forever revoked. The other one wouldn’t not speak about his conviction but I later learned from another employee that he molested a child. That was it for me, being a victim of molestation myself I could no longer work for a company who not adequately do background checks of people. I had to quit.

The company uses an auto dialer system in which a recording is played and you have two options; press one for a rep, or two to be taken off the list. Pressing one for a rep, we basically ask you for your make, model, mileage, and year of your vehicle. Afterwards we start the lying immediately, asking for your number just in case we get disconnected, when we really are pulling information about you through whitepages.com. We read from scripts telling ALL customers that there vehicle warranty has expired even if they brought a brand new vehicle. We may be based in Plantation,Fl but the number we have on everyone’s caller ID are from Detroit, Michigan.

They tell us to sell urgency, to lie and tell the customer that your manufacture and dealer of your vehicle informed us that your warranty has expired and that this your last and final call(which it isn't). $50 bucks a deal. When people try to cancel
them, they still charge their credit cards. I have several people nationwide whom have protested to this and are trying to take legal action to no avail because the number is untraceable.
They won't sell to anyone in Florida because they fear being found. Even the number is bogus, for Miami the only area code being used are 954, 305, 754, and 561. When a customer asked me where our location was and I informed her, a closer yelled saying how we aren’t suppose to tell and if they ask avoid answering or hang up.

The quality of people, services offered, and that sense of urgency is bogus!!! Please people be smart, if you want an extended warranty speak with your dealership first because I quit this job because of the obvious scam we were taught to do to innocent people. If you see this information on your phone RUN!!!!! I’m not vindictive or malicious in any way, I chose to leave, I have nothing to gain from this, but people should be informed with valuable knowledge about telemarketing schemes, I hope I can save a few individuals time and money.

    "Just an offer"?

Fraudulent tactics:  Claims mailed to people with either no vehicle, or long-expired coverage, in an attempt to pressure them into paying for some questionable "service"

Failure to honor refund issues properly

Calling numbers on the National (or State) Do-Not-Call lists

Mailing to people on the Direct Mailing "Do Not Mail" list

Using autodialers to call cell phones

    Failure to honor "remove" demands.

    Deceptive advertising

Active legal action from the Missouri Attorney General

False claims - receiving names from dealerships of people who have never purchased or owned a car.

This is quite different than a legitimate offer from an insurance or credit company.  Those come from legitimate businesses, provide consistent and verifiable contact information, respect privacy wishes, and generally behave within the letter of the law.

SCUM like "Dealer Warranty Services" should receive vigilante justice.

Trying to defend your sleazy outfit?

Why don't you stand in front of a train, and stop wasting our oxygen.

You're not part of some "wonderful business" that saves people from evil car dealers.  You're a crooked piece of snake excrement.

Nice try of "calling the kettle black", but fraudulent scumbags like your outfit are a joy to have put out of business.  Hopefully when that happens, you either sit in jail, or end up homeless with no one wanting to hire a sleazy scumbag like you.

I can't wait till MO AG's office gets this crooked outfit shut down for good!

I have been receiving auto-dialer hangup phone calls on my cell phone from this number (1-888-963-6723) over the last two weeks. Have since reported them to the FCC.

Then yesterday, I received a post card (Mailed from Tampa, FL, Permit # 100) in the snail mail from:

    Dealers Warranty
    745 Friedens Road, Suite 201
    St. Charles, MO 63303
    1-888-963-6723

With "FINAL NOTICE", "Factory Warranty Expiration", & "Call us immediately with your EXACT miles and VIN#..." written on it.

That's pretty strange as neither of my wife and I's two vehicle warranties are set to expire anytime soon.

Also, wouldn't they already have my VIN #'s, if in fact they were our actual auto manufacturer/dealer who provided our original warranty? õ_O
Smells like a scam to me. Contacting the FTC and filling a complaint report against them as well.

After seeing the comments on other sites, I think a nice Certified snail mail letter to my local State Attorney General's office inquiring about this obvious scam might do some good, as well as sending the same letter to the Postmaster General, as this scammer obviously has a postal bulk mailer permit and is obviously breaking the law.

Plus, after reading on other sites,

    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-888-963-6723

it seems this company targets mainly older people and tries to scam them out of their money.

Saw this on another site, and I quote

"Crap comes from National Auto Warranty Services 100 Mall Parkway Wentzville MO. 63385. They are Crooks who specialize in ripping off the elderly and infirm. Their phone is 1-800-649-1856. Also known as Dealer Services 1-800-607-9350. The company is owned by Darain and Corey Atkinson of Eldon MO. ( they are in the phone book ) and the punk who set up the auto dialer systenm with Qwest Communications of Denver is Zack Austin 1-800-753-0870. These people are serial professional LIARS and their outfit is a RIP-OFF SCAM."

If you get a postcard from them, report it.
If you get a phone call from them, report it.
The more people complain about this fradulent company,
the sooner they will be shut down.

I've been getting these annoying 'final' calls every week for the past 2 years. The request to remove my name and number from their list did not work - tried it several times.  I would say let's get 20/20 or one of those TV programs on them.  I just don't know how to go about it.

These people are calling daily on my cell phone.  How do I get them to stop. Following their instructions, screaming etc etc does not seem to work. Who are they and to whom do we report them?
