For months have had unsolicited computerized calls day, night & weekends -  unrelenting.......I finally waited for a rep to come on and asked for their name and location, was disconnected; another told me my number would be removed; another said they were 'dealer warranty services' and I asked where and he said South Florida, then disconnected; another disconnect, another promise to remove me from calling list, two more phone calls and finally a postcard yesterday......from 'Dealer Warranty Services'  at 3710 Mueller Road, St Charles, MO 63301 - phone # 800-581-1575, www.dws-us.biz
*69 does not help to trace call so not absolutely sure these are the same people, but plan to visit site, and possibly phone them.

I have aso received dozens of computerized phone calls- I don't even own a car. I have connected to an operator twice. Both times I have said, "Could you tell me why I'm receiving these phone calls? I don't own a car." Both times, the operator has hung up. Very Sketchy!

My dad just got a notice from DWS that his car is out of warranty.  He is 93 years old, hasn't driven in 10 years and the last car he owned was a 1984 Buick Regal.

Thanks for the information.  Needing work on my card almost got me to make the call.  Being distrustful got me to google the company.

if this sort of thing is illegal, why wont the law bust em? apparently somehow someones making money from it otherwise they would. between the phone companies and the government they know every word that is uttered, if they so choose to. makes ya wonder how legit the lawmakers are.

Just to add to the fun here. I no longer own an old car. I had to laugh at the suggestion that my warranty ran out on a 2009 car I bought less than a month ago.
I too have gotten tons of call. However, since I don't answer the phone when my caller id says the caller is from an 800 number I haven't answered. My answering machine has a really short message, and I continually get recordings of idiots who have no clue that a machine answered the phone.
    Hello!....
It's worthy of note that the Dealer Warranty Services site swears that they don't use automatic dialers.
Ok, then their reps are rude enough to not be listening to the phone when dialing.
    idiots
Oh yes, don't answer the phone for any 800, 888, or 866 number. If it's a legit call, from your credit card company for example, someone will actually be on the phone listening & leave a real message for you to call back. And keep your recording short to combat the auto dialer... like please leave a message BEEP.

I called these guys, and was skeptical like the rest. They said they would email the policy to me in writing, and they did. I asked if I could review it for a few days with my brother-in-law (who is a gm mechanic) It is legit, you just need to be aware of what coverage your are getting for your money. I talked to ryan, ask for him if you doubt.

I just received a call from Warrantee Department, p:1-800-581-1575.  This is the the first time that I have been able to get information on the company since every time that they call and I remain on the line, they hang up as soon as they realize that I am onto them. Since I am tired of their harrasing me, I am keeping myself enternained by posting this message in all the poster boards out there, thank you ec for this link:https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do
    Caller ID: 1-800-581-1575
    Caller: Warrantee Department
    Caller Type: Telemarketer

I get these "Final Notice" postcards all the time. I'm happy when I get one because I think, "phew, the final one." :D
When I call the phone number, I am immediately hung up on. Great! Now they have my #.
So I finally got through today and the guy transferred me to mailbox that was full. WTH?
Called again, screamed "Don't hang up!"
    And he didn't.
He asked for my consumer code from the postcard. I gave it to him.
He said I would be removed.
I asked him where he got my address from. He said the DMV!
How can I get off this list, I said.
You can't, he said. It's public information.

Does anyone know if this is true? Did he get it from the DMV? Can I be removed off this list?

I've been getting these for a long time. Today I pressed 1 for a representative. She actually answered. When I said put me on your do not call list she asked for the phone number. After repeating the lat four digits 5 times, I realized it was a scam. We had a short conversation that she said people scream at them all day long and removing you from the list is what the bosses dont want and dont care. POS company.

    Call the FTC
Call the FTC at 877-382-4357, state you want to report the Car Warranty Scam they will open a file for you and provide a reference number, write it down. Every time you receive a "Car Warrenty" call, call the back the FTC, give them the reference number and the following information:
    Company Name:
Number they called from (on Caller ID):
    Date and time they Called:
Have you requested to be removed from their calling list:
If you call once the Company can always state it took a day remove you from their list, but if you call the FTC every time they call, the FTC can build a solid case that the Company deals in unlawful practices.

I talked with a supervisor from this company that assured me they are a ligitimate business and the only complaints that are filed against them are centered around phone calls to activate, cards mailed to potential customer, but there are no complaints that they did not provide a ligitimate coverage for repairs. Can someone please tell me if they have experienced this company not covering their service work or how do you know they are really a "SCAM", not just by receiving a post card through the mail or by feelings, but by "Facts".  I thank you for this information, but I need an extended warranty on my car and do not know who to obtain one from, please help?!

    Doubting Thomas
My "final notice" could be for our 2006 Honda Civic but it looks like it doesn't matter what the vehicle is or not.  Anyway, totally bogus.  Nice to have the access to this web site to see what other people are getting.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one out there.  I can't believe they got my home and somehow got my work number too!  I was outraged to get a call at work (automated) saying my warranty was about to expire.  There has got to be a legal way to stop these scammers!

Call, write, email the Attorney General of Missouri and complain to his office about these vultures.
They offer a service that will not hold water if you ever need to use their warranty.
Check with your dealership in your area and they will tell you that if you have a problem with your car and ask the dealership to honor this bogus warranty they will tell you it is no good.
I have gone thru this with these people before and they keep changing their name to avoid being brought to justice.
They threatened me, violated my privacy, challenged my manhood calling me a [***] all in an effort to get me to buy a service program on the spot, they will not allow you to think their offer over and call them back. It's either now or never. These salesman are told, "Once you have a fish on the line, do not let them off". The offer is only good for that split second.
Who legitimately makes such an offer. DO NOT CALL THEM, they will only make you more frustrated. Report them.
Like the other person said, "Shred the card and move on with your life".
    Amen.

    Don;
We receive these cards from time to time and we already have a extended warranty from another company. My wife thought we must have been late on a payment or something.
We have to check these things out or we might get caught in something we can,t get out of.  The company we have our extended warranty with, we checked out to make sure they were above board. They are ok but I heard that most of them out there arn't.

Unfortunately my older sister paid this company monthly payments on her credit card, a total of $1700. Her family had the transmission in their car go out in the MIDDLE OF THE DESERT. Total of 7 people stranded in 120 degree heat. She limped the car back to a city, the dealership had to inform her that this was not coverage through GM which she had assumed. I am trying to research this for her - looking through their "Warranty" info it appears you have to use some product called Dura Lube or else everything is void. She has rented a car and is continuing on her long planned vacation with grandchildren and the rental is going to run $900 for two weeks. And the estimate from the dealer is $3500 for a new transmission. I sure hope this company comes through and pays for a portion of this however I think I know the answer...FRAUD. Please advise if anyone else has purchased this "coverage" and if they got any sort of action out of them when filing a claim.
