They all lie.
When I register Bally, I ask can I cancel anytime. He told me I can cancel in 60 days. After 25 days later I went to cancel guy told me my membership canceled. A month later, I got a bill I went office back the guy told me he will told with office about my cancelation. A month later another bill came. I call customer service they told me I am not cancel and 60 days pass. I can't cancel now. After 1 hour discussion with customer service they told me I cannot do anything if I don't pay it will be destroyer my credit history.

After you get to the customer rep, tell them you want to cancel the membership and over the phone they will charge you a 10 dollar over phone cancellation fee but its done RIGHT AWAY. ALTHOUGH I HAVE HAVING TO PAY THIS BAD COMPANY ANY EXTRA MONEY the mail takes too long and i won't even know how long it might take to cancel my membership.

THE customer REP will keep telling you they have never allow phone cancellation before its all bogus and lies. they lie constantly to try to make you send the CANCELLATION MAIL.

I guess that means that LA Fitness is another place that I will never go to.
I cancels 2 of my memberships on november 14th, and i stopped getting charged for a while but a few weeks later around december 16th they started charging my account again. I called CUSTOMER SERVICES and told them why am i getting charged even after i cancels it; they told me the that the CANCELLATION WAS INCOMPLETE AND THAT THE PHONE CALL WAS DISCONNECTED!! That was a total lie and i demanded them to check the phone records which then the customer rep got scared and refunded my money + re-cancel both memberships.
This company will try its best to reactivate your accounts and steal your money; what i did and recommend to everyone is after you cancel if possible just changed your credit/debit card information so they cant get to you anymore.
bought this back in 1989, this club is a joke along with Bally in
General... went there the other day, now it's LA Fitness
and my membership card is no longer valid? Called bally and they switch
you over to an automated message that says the account is being serviced by LA fitness.. call LA fitness and they have no record of the account...
Help me....
