Unauthorized "membership" charge

September 25, 2010, my MC was charged $24.95 without my knowledge or authorization. I called SEM budget Savers and complained. I was told I would be credited. Let's see if they do.

    We're all in this boat together. It's called consumer fraud with the blessings of the loop holes we are subject to. File a formal complaint with the Attorney General's Office to stop this crap! It's the only responsible thing to do.

    And when you call your credit card company you will learn that they can only retrieve up to 118 days worth of charges. Which is just under 4 billing cycles.

    Call or go online to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office now!!!!

    Get on it now!!!! Then call the Attorney General's office and file a formal complaint. This is the only way these people will ever even be noticed by anyone who can do anything about their fraudulent activities!

    Don't wait! Call your bank or credit card company and get them involved.
    Then call the Attorney General's office and file a formal complaint.
    This is outright fraud and they need to be stopped!
    I've been fighting with them for a month now and they keep making empty false promises about the product and refund.

    These people are a bunch of theives!! They called me after I bought a sabakawa pillow & tried to sell me all their BS. A $100 gas card sounded like a good idea for a $1 & then they started in with this charge & that charge which gives you this & that. I told them that I didn't want the membership & they still charge me $29.95! I got into with the CSR about my so called membership & told them take my name & all my info out of their system. I spoke with my bank & with a little bit of paperwork...I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK!! I'm going to spread the word about these people so hopefully nobody else gets taken by these guys!

    I was also chared fradulant by this company they kept charging 29.95 and I was unable to get any assistants so I called my bank and they refunded my charges as fraud.

    I declined their services and they still charged my account. When I called to complain, they said I would receive a letter in 7-10 days about how to cancel membership. When I spoke to a supervisor, she told me "you had to say yes to our service or we wouldn't have charged you.........then hung up on me.

    Same Thing has happened here on feb. 9 2011 i was charged $29.90 to my account n dent know nothing about it n now im having money problems n was put n det cuz of this people .. who r they how did they get into account without me given they my number n now i have to wait 3 to 5 days to get my (MY) money back .. omg ..

    They called me two times and I told them each time not to charge anything to my credit card.  They charged $29.95 to my credit anyway.  I called them tonight and they said they would take the charges off within 3 business days.  I will be watching daily.  Something should be done about them.  Wonder how many people are still paying for something they did not authorize.

    I just got off the phone with a rep at the 1(800)475-1942 number and was told I will be getting a reimbursement for the $1 dollar I was charged for mailing a packet to my home. I was able however and she confirmed to cancel by going online to www.programstop.com and filling out the form, which the rep verified was processed.

    I am also having charges of $29.95  placed on my account  by  "SEM  BUDGET SAVERS"  phone # 800- 475-1942 MN. Hope I will be able to get refunds.

    That's exactly what happened to me.   I was almost forced into taking the SEM Budget Savers over the phone - well it's only $1 and you have 14 days free trial.  BS.  Never received the pkg. and my credit card was charged $29.95.   I called them and they said they would credit my card and cancel my membership.  I will also be disputing this charge with my credit card company and they will also file a complaint.  No more phone trials for me.

    I was charged on my Laccd card that my school gave out to get myy financial aid money easier which i use to buy my books and i was charged too for 29.95 and i dont even know what this thing is....i filed a dispute to the financial aid office and i better be getting my money back or else...

    I just got my first auto draft of 29.95 from the company I have never heard of, much less authorized to do so. I started by filing a fraud claim, after I Google-ed SEM Shoppers scam, and found this forum. There are an astonishing amount of results when you Google them, how can they get away with this? After I filed a claim with my bank, I then called SEM and let's just say I wasn't using my phone manners for that call. Count me in for the law suit!
