Unauthorized "membership" charge

September 25, 2010, my MC was charged $24.95 without my knowledge or authorization. I called SEM budget Savers and complained. I was told I would be credited. Let's see if they do.

    Thank you to all the posters!  I have experienced exactly what is mentioned above. I authorized them over the phone! with the idea that I have 30 days trial and that I can cancel at anytime. But I received nothing in the mail and before my 30 days were up I was charged $29.95 on my card. Thank you for posting the phone number. I just called them and I demand they cancel and they refund my account. Which they did!!

    I was also charge $24.95 for over a year now and just noticed that my account was being charged.  I called my bank today and going to see them tomorrow.  They got me for almost $300.00 and I also did not authorize any charges to my account.

    the same thing happened to me sem budget saver...charging $29.95.we dont know how it happened..all people who are sure and have proof ,they are been cheated must jointly take an action against this company..i have also complained againt them to my credit card company. they are inquiring this matter

    Yea dispute the charges as  followed, but what do you do when the charges have gone on for almost a year and you haven't noticed because  you  don't get paper statements from your bank and they stopped sending you email alerts? Yea i admit, it seems ridiculous that all this time i haven't noticed, but when you  work a lot to survive in this crazy world and don't have time to always  check your acct online let alone check it thoroughly, and on top of that don't receive  statements or emails anymore...i don't know! I guess I'm just pissed the only thing my bank can do is reimburse me for 60 days worth of the charges and tell me to fend for myself on the rest. I'm not expecting them to reimburse me for it all for the obvious reason that it wasn't them that was illegally taking money out of my account but  the fees they charged me because those companies took money out of my account when there wasn't any in there to take. That reimbursement would be nice. Or an even better one would be to catch the companies in action, especially since the bank themselves are a nation wide company, i can imagine them having people that sit around at a desk all day catching scam companies that [***] over their customers!!!! Guess that's not the case.

    I did not give them permission to with draw money from my bank. I think they should put it back. you can't trust the on line shopping that it for me.It is pretty sorry when all people have to do is sit & cheat other people out of money. They will be sorry because what goese around come around 10 fold.

    The same thing happened to me ! So sad for people that are stuggling just to get by. I hope we get our money back!

    The same thing happened to me except talking to anyone at Budget Savers or TLG shoppers! Somehow they were able to steal money off my card and claimed they talked to me! NEVER!!!

    i was told altho i never even heard of these people that i was a paying because i was a member. A member of what?? Iam on Disability SSI and have a very fixed income. I would never ever have money taken off my card and then at that nothing to show for it. Iam taking all nessasary steps to get my money back. i hope we all do. i cryed and cryed and cant pay my water bill now cause the money is gone and they tell me i have to wait for 7 to 10 days to get a form i must fill out and who knows how long it will take to get the money back on my card if ever. Now i have to close my account and get a new card which is time consuming and nerve wracking for me. I cant understand why these places are not shut down!

    Dont know these people and why they charged my card, Im Pissed! 29.95+4.28 overdraft charges! they better give my money back!

    I have been charged on my credit card. I have not told them they could charge to my card. It's only $1.00 ,but that is too much

    i was also charged without authorization. i cancelled back in jan. but the lady i spoke to denied it.  she than said that my account was now cancelled and to hung up.

    Never recieved promised 100$ gas card, nothing and within 20 days a 29.95$ charge showed up on my debit card, I said "How could i respond to your offer if i had nothing, no address , no phone number, no idea what company you were?" I had this company come on the phone after i had ordered a 'free trial' offer of 'neurostin' i heard on the radio station. The Neurostin operator said she was transfering the call to a confirmation center (Like the phone company does when you switch services),it was not a confirmation service it was this 'Budget Savers' operator who after convincing me i would be crazy not to take the promised 100$ gas card, which would be mine to keep even if I cancelled. (Side note; budget actually handed me off to yet another sales company before i could hang up, I knew better but I trusted the radio station to screen companys better, wiser now) I had 6 different charges from this scam within 60 days totaling over 140$ before i could unravel this crap. Operator at 'Budget Savers' acted like I was interupting her lunch break and just hung up after promising to reverse the two 29.95 charges.

    My husband noticed them on our bank statement as taken 2 payments of 24.99 in the same month.  He called to see who they were and they gave him the run around because the transaction was done on my debit/visa card.  I tried calling them to see who they even were and they wanted more information from me.  My last 4 numbers of social, home address, home phone number, ect. so they could have more information to look into it.  Yeah, like right.  I told her were to stick it and got my card cancelled and am filing all the complaints that I need.  My bank is being most helpful as this has been happening a lot and even to the person who is helping me.

    you can get atleast 6 months amount.i got it..bank has the responsibility to give you back.talk to dispute department and tell what happened.and ask the bank to get proof of your consent from the party for collecting this money.

    They did the same thing to me except I never even talked to them. I simply hung up on them yet I still got charged. Sue the jokers dry! I'm in.

    The same has happened to me also.Does anyone have a number for budget savers? Im trying to get in contact with them so they can stop taking money out of my account.
