Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    I just got the call as well from Leslie Owens from the Department of Legal Affairs.  I tried to call the number that she left on my voice mail which was 866-985-8707 but the line was busy.  I would love to call her back and say I am from the same Department of Legal Affairs and I am looking for Leslie Owens concerning a scam, then repeat everything she said to me.

    Just received a call from David Smith (818-309-4812) . Heavy accent, stated that he was with the Department of Legal Affairs.
    He stated that there was legal action against me and I needed to call back right away. Attempted to call multiple times only to get
    a busy signal. Suspected a scam, so I looked up similar activities and found this on the internet.

      I received a call from (202) 517-7381 from a Jason White with a heavy Indian accent. Said action was being taken again me by Dept. of Legal Affairs. It amazes me that people would want to scam instead of working a real job.

    Just had a similar message. His name was 'Johnny Marshall' but had a very thick accent. Dept of Legal affairs, but the number was 760-664-3006. Advised if I couldnt call, my lawyer should! No way!

    I just received the same call. A woman with the same thick accent. I called back and got a busy signal. It's definitely a scam.

    I recieved a call from them too (347) 284-6780 from NYC saying that I had a arrest warrant against me they wanted me to give them money so the could take it off

    I just received a call from a man who identified himself as Winston Smith. He claimed to be from the Dept Of legal Affsirs.  2024599852.  He wants my attorney to call them regarding some legal action taken against me . People don't be swindled. If anyone brought legal action against you they should contact you in writing.

    Yup same heavy accent, threatening me to call back immediately or else matters would get bad...lol.. the number was 202-459-9852...

    They didn't call but sent an email stating I will have $95,000 in court cost. There isn't a number and I need to do everything electronically. The business name on the email doesn't exist nor does the address. I have a warrant and everything, so they say. It's funny how it went to my Spam folder. These guys are ridiculous

    Just  received a call from The Department of Legal Affairs in Kansas persons name was Leslie Owens and spoke very good English  The phone number was from Washington DC 202 470-5901. Gee I hate these scams. I will report them

    I just had the same call from an unknown number. Looked it up and it was from NY. The guy had a very heavy accent also and said I needed to call back right away and something about an attorney. Glad to hear it's a scam!!

    Scam. I got the same call from "charles". He had a super thick accent and threatened me in the voice mail also. 202 area code, washington dc. Glad this page is set up, it actually kinda got me rattled a bit. So i guess im stupid. Lol

    Got the same message from Thomas Clark with the Treasury Dept. Washington DC #. Heavy accent and very hard to understand. Treating it as a scam!! Will keep voice message.

    Just got a call from them too asking me if I had a lawyer and did I know there was a criminal case against me.  His accent was so thick I could hardly understand him.  He asked for my address and I said no. He said the court will be contacting me.  I knew it was a scam when I call but I wanted to be sure.  Thanks for the post

    I have been getting calls from a "Maria Smith" nonstop and so I called her back 1x I got her I told her she was a con artist and a poor one at that along with a few other choice words...I hung up and called right back and a man answered I told him the same, I hung up and called right back again and lo and behold Maria picked right up this time using my first name I told her to go f herself and find something real to do w her life she actually continued speaking as I did! What a peice of work!!! Then the man called again another time. I told him the same as I told "Maria" he couldn't keep his cool the way she did he stsrted yellin go f youself I finally hung up and they continue to call...my bank noticed that they actually hacked my acct and eere tsking 19.95$ a monyh for 5 months...I called the precinct in suffolk and they said call the treasury dept. they have a hotline because these calls and hacks have gotten so bad these people are over seas not here in the US out government needs to do something snd fast! This was 2 weeks ago and the calls are still coming!

    9/22/2016  Got a phone call today from a Thomas Clark from Dept. of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury. He stated that this was the final notification and that legal proceedings had been started against my name. Call back number was 202-517-2993. He wanted me to have an attorney with me when I called him back because this could be a legal mess for me. He than said have a blessed day and hung up.  Second call in 2 days.   This is a SCAM.
