In December we purchased a Husky power washer 1750, Since that time it was used exactly 4 times. It does not work, the on off swith does not work, the GFCI plug does not work.

I have made many attempts via E-Mail to contact this company ,and keep getting answers back from someone named Kyle One e- mail asks me if the fan is turning, another asks me to disconnect the hose then try it. Nothing resolving my problems.

The last E mail I received to day stated the following:" Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting us. i am sorry for the inconvenience with the unit and i hope for the best in the future Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions. Sincerely, Kyle

To me this is not a response to fix a problem of a basically new machine. My advise stick with Sears, at least they back up their products.

I had the same problem with no pressure, still waiting to get it back from service. I think we all should start a class action lawsuit against Home Depot and Husky!

I used my Husky 2000 "power washer" maybe three times for and water started pouring out of the manifold.  I'll have to replace it now.  What a piece of junk.  In their defense all the other power washer companies sell rotten products too.  No matter how much or how little you pay the quality is the same, poor.

    Yet another victim (Joe)
Bought a HU80833 / the 2600 psi Gas Pressure Washer, from Home Depot about a year and a half ago.  I ALWAYS take great care of all of my tools, motorcycles, boats and tools.  Over the winter everything gets the fuel stablilized and in the spring everything gets an oil change, new plug and air filter, a points lubed, etc.  I used this pressure washer for about 4 hours last fall and it worked fine.

Pulled it out of the shed yesterday and it would not start.  I pulled the carb off and disassembled it, cleaned everything and put it back on.  It fired up almost immediately and ran great for about 10 minutes.  Then, you guessed it, THE PUMP FAILED.  Michael, I sent you an email a few minutes ago.  PLEASE PLEASE email me at asheikh74@hotmail.com to see if we can work this out.  By the way, to all readers, I promise that I will post a follow up to this and let you know how Home Depot and/or Husky did in resolving the issue.  Thanks everybody!

What is it with these machines.  I have had the same problem used this machine for one season.  Stored correctely, started first time this year worked for 10 minutes then died.  Tried all the usual fixes but nothing worked.  Have also complained to Home Depot.  What a waste of $300.

Same here, I also keep my things well maintained and found my Husky 2600 PSI machine to have a great Honda motor and a horribly cheap pump which has seized.

Has anyone found a good pump that I could repalce the faulty one with?

Please email me if you have

Bought a Huskey 2000 last summer from the Home Depot.  Worked great the 4x I used it last summer, but when I took it out for spring cleaning, it sprung a leak from within the machine and the pressure is cut in half.  After reading these other stories I will cut my losses and look for another brand of power washer.

I'm in the same boat as so many others here.  I bought a HU80931 from Home Depot in summer of 2007.  All I've ever used it for was to wash down the outside of my house at the beginning of each spring.  So I've used it basically 3 times before this weekend.  I was using it and all of the sudden I lost pressure.  First I tried to call Husky and after their crappy phone system dropped my call twice and sitting on hold for half an hour I finally got to someone who told me I need to call Ryobi because my washer is gas.  (Is it that hard for them to put the proper numbers on their website!?!?!)  Not sure why I need to call a totally spearate company for support on a product but so be it.

So I called the number they gave me, waited on hold awhile, finally got thru to someone after about 15 mins on hold.  They said they had to check with a technican and put me on hold.  Once I hit the 30 minute mark on hold waiting for her to come back from talking to the "technician" I tried calling the main number again from my cell phone.  I got a "we're closed" greeting when I called.  Apparently she put me on hold and in the time I was on hold they closed for the day and just left me out there waiting on hold!  What kind of horrible customer service is that!!

I called back today and they basically said they won't help me because it's out of warranty and that I should buy a new pump.  I have no idea how much that will cost yet, but like everyone else here I should not have to replace something that major on a piece of equipment after such minimal use.

I will never buy another Husky product again.

An update to my post above.  I emailed HD at the address listed earlier in the thread to see if I'd hear anything back.  I actually received a response very quickly, and they got me in touch with someone at HomeLite, the manufacturer, who was very helpful and is taking care of this for me.

I thank both Home Depot customer care and HomeLite for their help to me.

    my HUSKY BITES!
I bought a Husky HU80931 Gas power washer on close out at the home depot and used it (no lie) 4 times, still looks NEW, the motor runs good as I always drain the gas when it is stored, the pump has NO out put at all.I get hot water dribbling out of a small black plastic fitting in the back of the pump no idea what the problem is.Is this worth fixing or did I flush $200 bucks? ANY IDEAS??

i am in the same boat.  I purchased one a couple of years ago and have replaced one pump and now the second one has failed.  I have spent a lot of money, time and effort for nothing. Very disappointed.

I too have purchased a HU80722 from the Home Depot a couple of years ago with the exact same problem.  I'm glad to hear that I am not alone.   I had to replace the pump last year and this year the exact same problem re-occured!  Also gas started pouring out of the carborator.  What is the solution?

I also purchased a Husky H2000 electric pressure washer from HD December of 2009 and used it for the 3rd time yesterday to clean some fencing in my back yard.  About 6 minutes into using it I heard a high level wine and then a swoosh of water, the entire bottom of this unit pretty much exploded.  I have been on the phone with store managers and representatives that tell me "tough luck, its been 90 days".  I spend thousands at the HD every year for household repairs and improvements,  considering this is their in store product line I would think they would just replace the unit, if this doesnt get resolved I will be shopping elsewhere.

    2600 loser
I used my machine 3 hours max last year. I have no pressure but the engine runs great LOL. Is it worth replacing the pump or just buy some other brand. How difficult is the pump replacement process? I will never buy a huskey product ever again!

Purchased a Husky 2000s year and a half ago. Used it three times for a total of 6-8 hours until it leaked and wouldn't maintain anything near advertised pressure. After opening it up, I discovered it faulty cheap plastic plug on the manifold that had split. Very poor design and no repair part support. Considering the business I have given Home Depot over the years I am extremely disappointed in the poor quality and lack of support for a pressure washer carrying the Husky brand name.

Yet again another one bites the dust.  Husky 80722 2600psi used one time less than an hour right when I bought it, tried to use it about 3 months later no pressure.  Found the problem to be the valves, who the h** uses plastic valves, all 6 are bad.  It seems obvious not to bother fixing it with the same worthless plastic valves.  Heat melts plastic right!!!  I can't believe the design of the pump, incredible.  From the other posts looks like there will be no replacement by HUSKPEE.  What would be a good replacement pump? I will support the ban on Husky and Home Depot
