This is an accurate description of what happens and how to stop it.  I called 1-866-409-4016 and cancelled after one month.  I guess that if you don't watch the screen as the "free" credit report comes out you get into this program.  Multi-tasking works against us here.

A good number to contact them is 1-866-408-4016. They tried everything in their power to keep things going and they don't want to give you a refund. I got one month back only because they just took it out on friday. She told me that they have been doing their job so I can not get any more back. Good luck to every one.

I tried calling the above number before my 7 day trial was up and was repeatedly put on hold, then transfered to a busy signal.
When a charge came in on my bank account it was accompanied by this number - 866-883-3309. Upon calling this number,I was put on hold for twenty minutes with increasenly more annoying static and once I was answered the operator said she could not her me and hung up. I called back; twenty-five more minutes of the static laden hold music and the next operator suppossably canceled my 'Subscribtion'.

I found MNI on my bank account statement with no knowledge of having signed up for them. I called 1-866-408-4016 (as noted above, thank you!) Since I didn't have an account number, they asked for the debit card number associated with the charges and that is how I found out that I had been signed up without my knowledge by someone named Walter Gerrity, of Madison Avenue.

The original person who answered went ahead and canceled the statements and set me up to receive a refund for all four months I'd been signed up, (we'll see if it goes through) and then referred me to their fraud center where they refused to give me any further information on Walter Gerrity without a subpoena.  They did, however, take note of the fraud.  For whatever that's worth.

If you don't think you intended to sign up for MNI, try to find out if the name on the account matches the name on the card you signed up with.  I would be very interested to find out MNI has a little friend in Walter Gerrity.

This is ridiculous!! Their customer service sucks as do their policies. I was charged $14.95 for six months unknowingly.  After calling and raising hell they agreed to refund me 3 months.  I asked if their calls were recorded and if so I wanted the recording to be reviewed because I was told my cancellation was in place and my account would not be charged.  Once mentioning the recording they quickly agreed to refund the three months.  I deserved all six months but I was getting no where with their horrible customer service department. I hope this helps someone.

WAIT - MAYBE I CAN. I called 800 720 4420,and got a cancellation (along with a receipt #). I listened to the sales pitch, then told them I don't have the need for their service. Everything went nicely.

This is exactly what happened to me.  I got my debit card statement today and saw a series of unauthorized charges made to my account.  MNI CreditReport.com was one of those charges.  I have since canceled this debit card, put a fraud alert on my credit report (you can do this through Equifax, TransUnion, or Experia), and gone to AnnualCreditReport.com (the only website you should go to for your free credit reports- as per ftc.gov/credit) to check my credit report.  All three agencies show that MNICreditReport.com has accessed my credit information.  So I called the 1-866-408-4016 number for MNICreditReport.com and asked to speak with the fraud department.  They told me that my name and last four of my SSN do not match for the person who made the request- though they did not give me the name of who did make the request.  I advise all to follow the information on the Suze Orman website- go to "Resource Center" and "Identity Theft".  Good luck all!

I agree with everything that was said about the company.  It's rediculous that they keep charging you every month without you agreeing to the charge.  Then I tried to cancel for my husband and they wouldn't let me.  Even though it was no problem signing up for him on line.  I hate companies like this.

I thought I was getting a free score, but when I got my bank statement, I noticed a fee was charged for this service.  Next month I was taken again for $14.95. this is a sorry bunch of people.  the only way they can make a living is to scam good working people.  Shame on you!!!!!

My husband was filing for unemployment benefits and it asked him for a credit card number because they stated that his employer may need his credit report. When he entered our credit card number they automatically enrolled him in some kind of credit monitoring which we could try for a week and be billed every month on our card. I found out who they are and called them and told them to cancel any transactions on our credit card and they did also gave me a confirmation number stating my cancellation  on my email. They are credit report.com  and their phone number is 1-866-883-3309 . Just tell them you do not want this service have them cancel it and ask for a confirmation number. Sorry for the long read but I hope to help a lot of you with our same problem. God Bless  They tell you it's free but they automatically enroll you. I say that's a scam.
