We went to a presentation for what we thought was a membership in a vacation club. If we joined this club we would be able to access condo, cruises, and resorts that we could rent for $299 for a 7 night/8days visit. Sales pressure was very high and we were never left alone to discuss joining this club. When we asked for privacy to discuss, the guy left and another took his place. They told us over & over this was a vacation club membership and they were not connected to a Timeshare group. MVG would even finance our loan at 0% interest and if we were not happy then they would refund our money. Great!! We were taken to an office and documents were presented to us to sign. Just a lot of legal steps(right). We would have to sign a license agreement to be able to use the software to search their listings. The software upgrades were to be $199 per year. So we paid $2,500 down and financed $3500 at 0% interest. No mention that we had three days to cancel(knew we were leaving the next morning).

Sounds pretty good doesn't it. Well here is the truth of the matter.
There is no club membership. You are buying a software license to search listing where the $299 places are out of the way places that no one wants to visit. MVG does not finance the load they outsource to Universal Account Servicing, LLC (rudest people I have ever had to chance to speak to). Software upgrades are $299 for the first year with a 10% increase every year. When I asked to cancel the club membership(written, certified letter)they did not pick the letter up. Next I sent it in a letter and Ian called and when asked about refund statement was "you do not have that in writing".

We are still trying to get out of this but I do not know if that is possible. Bad thing is that the lone person in the Welcome Center at Myrtle Beach sent us over to this group. Does anyone have any suggestions about canceling this?  Yes, we know we are stupid people to have fallen for this scam.

I have called Mark and Andy on their cell phone numbers and have heard nothing.  I did use their site to book a couple of their vacations but now the sight is gone and I feel that I have been swindled.  The places I have gone to is nice but  I sure haven't got what I intially put up.  I really liked the site but they took it off and now I have to use other site and I can do my own searching for bargains.  I'd like my money back, but I know I should just kiss it goodbye but Mark and Andy should be held responsble for false advertising.

We just found out that this company may be out of business. We joined in June 2008 and paid in full by 2010a and have not used the service yet. I always checked the website and received monthly emails, now both the website and emails are gone. I just got Amy yearly bill from universal account services which I pay every year, I will be contacting them tomorrow to find out what is going on. I will come back and post the results.

Sorry guys, everything is closed up in Myrtle Beach. The signs are down, the building is empty and there is a big for sale sign on the front lawn (I am here with my wife, we still come to Myrtle Beach every March for the month).

When I was down here golfing with my friends last November, there was a new sign on the old building    " Festival ", I dropped in to see them and ask about the old company, all the furniture was the same in the waiting room, there were people in the backroom making hotel bookings etc but a young guy came up to me and informed me that Monster Vacations had gone out of business.  I asked for Mark or Andrew to see if they were still connected to the new business, but he said he didn't know them.

I guess we have all been scammed.  I doubt if we have any recourse agains these people.

Timeshare Ownership has consistently been known for three things: beautiful properties, incredible destinations and FRIGHTENING sales practices. Nevertheless, the reason for owning a timeshare has never changed – people simply want to spend quality time with their family and friends. Unfortunately, after being deceived by their developer, the majority of timeshare and vacation ownership owners have forgotten why they purchased a timeshare in the first place. They find themselves scratching their heads trying to figure out how they wound up deep in debt and angry over the process that landed them there.

The best advice is NEVER buy a timeshare anywhere. It is a scam and the so-called timeshare you buy is sold over and over again to other people. It is very difficult to sell your timeshare now and renting isn't in the deal. It will cost you more to buy a timeshare and maintenance fee than to rent a hotel room or a full ownership of a condo. Don't do it.

All the above have been correct for us as well. We purchase this MESS September 22, 2008, as our ANNIVERSARY GIFT... WOW!! been trying to use it since then.. NO LUCK!! But still want to send a bill for computer software, THAT WE APPARENTLY DO NOT USE!! For 5 years now we have through away the money for this resort, also, I am in the process of speaking to an attorney to sue, because of failure to deliver the purchased product.. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!! In this instance. THE CUSTOMERS ARE RIGHT.. No satisfaction was guaranteed. Quality of service poor. THANK YOU FOR THE MISERABLE ANNIVERSAY GIFT!! I also contacted the BBB in Myrtle Beach! And was told they were no longer in business, and they were a scam!! But in the end vengeance will be ours! MAN JUST GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!!

My family and I went to Waikiki, Hawaii and attended the Vacation Breeze 2 to 3 hour long presentation. So much promises that sounded to good and legit. Paid them the membership fee and few other fees. We did not have enough money to pay the entire $5000, so we ended up paying half by credit card. So sad that we had to finance $2700 by using our credit card. $73 is being deducted from our credit card for more than a year. Upset me to find out that my credit card is charging me 22% while Universal Account Servicing, LLC is also charging me 17+%. My credit card was maxed out and that I gave me a chance to review my agreement with Vacation Breeze. Surprisingly, I was shocked to find out that I still owe $2350, and not to mention the interest accumulated on my credit card. I am now borrowing money from my Retirement Fund to pay off the remaining balance. By the way, I had a letter from Universal that they will be drafting the yearly fee automatically from our checking account.

My husband and I went to Waikiki two weeks ago. We feel like total idiots and want to cancel but its after the 'cooling off' period. We want to start a class action lawsuit. We went in laughing and saying AS IF we would do it. Then , somehow they ended up selling it to us. We both had a strange feeling about it but before you knew it, It was done. I have now cancelled my card and I want to do everything I can to get us out of it. Im scared we have been completely scammed and won't be able to get out of the contract. Can anyone help us? please help if you can. jenna.georg@gmail.com
