We went to a presentation for what we thought was a membership in a vacation club. If we joined this club we would be able to access condo, cruises, and resorts that we could rent for $299 for a 7 night/8days visit. Sales pressure was very high and we were never left alone to discuss joining this club. When we asked for privacy to discuss, the guy left and another took his place. They told us over & over this was a vacation club membership and they were not connected to a Timeshare group. MVG would even finance our loan at 0% interest and if we were not happy then they would refund our money. Great!! We were taken to an office and documents were presented to us to sign. Just a lot of legal steps(right). We would have to sign a license agreement to be able to use the software to search their listings. The software upgrades were to be $199 per year. So we paid $2,500 down and financed $3500 at 0% interest. No mention that we had three days to cancel(knew we were leaving the next morning).

Sounds pretty good doesn't it. Well here is the truth of the matter.
There is no club membership. You are buying a software license to search listing where the $299 places are out of the way places that no one wants to visit. MVG does not finance the load they outsource to Universal Account Servicing, LLC (rudest people I have ever had to chance to speak to). Software upgrades are $299 for the first year with a 10% increase every year. When I asked to cancel the club membership(written, certified letter)they did not pick the letter up. Next I sent it in a letter and Ian called and when asked about refund statement was "you do not have that in writing".

We are still trying to get out of this but I do not know if that is possible. Bad thing is that the lone person in the Welcome Center at Myrtle Beach sent us over to this group. Does anyone have any suggestions about canceling this?  Yes, we know we are stupid people to have fallen for this scam.

Not yet! There still is hope. All of you need to ban together and go to court. There is strength in numbers. If all of you go to court together, someone will have to listen. Maybe everyone should camp out in front and demand satisfaction!!!!!

    Mistake
You know you weren't planning on returning any calls. Why tell that? I've called and left message after message and you never returned my call. I received one call from you the entire time that I've tried to cancel this mistake. Stop telling people to call you!

They did not show us, have us sign, or mention a 3 day rescission. Apparently their not consistent in their paperwork nor what they tell people. When I knew nothing of the 3 day rescission until we read the complaint page. When I finallly talked with someone at MVG about the rescission the person who sold me the contract openly admitted that he didn't tell people of the 3 day rescission. I asked wasn't it a requirement to inform potential buyers of this rescission statement. He stated that it wasn't. According to him there was a rescission statement in place during the time of my contract, which was in 2010, but that the rescission statement is no longer in effect as of January 2011. In reading these complaints I see that people are still stating that they were told of the rescission statement. What does that tell us? These people make up the rules as they go and are unconcerned about who gets hurt in the process.

Oh so now you are an "innocent" person just because you realized that you needed the money more than the vacations?  Talk about stupidity.  You had health issues when you purchased and then you blame them for "talking" you into a purchase?  Right!  Did you know you can say "no"?  It is no scam since my wife and I purchased 2 years ago and have used the program to our advantage.  And need "to stop them from hurting other innocent people"?...omg EJ you need to take off the martyr t-shirt since it looks horrible on you.

We just purchased from Monster and already made our first reservations.  The paperwork has it clearly stated that "all sales are final" and it is NOT in fine print.  It is in the same print as the rest of the document.  Whatever happened to read it before you sign it?

That is incorrect. I was personally told by one of the sales representatives at MVG has a 3 day rescission clause. I asked why are you telling customers about it. The representative stated, he just didn't.
