    Dear Mrs Mitchell & Bucles,

    a)    By way of background, GuruAid is a division of a 30-year old U.S. company (Lester Inc, www.lesterusa.com) based in Branford, CT.

    b)    We are a leading ( one of the top-5 in the world) independent technical support company, and our tech support division website (www.GuruAid.com) makes it very clear that we are not affiliated with any computer or software product company.

    c)    Every day we handle and successfully resolve thousands of customer inquiries. Check what our customers have to say about us. We have close to 1,000 odd comments on http://www.facebook.com/GuruAid.Tech.Support

    d)    As you can see from these comments on facbeook, while we are not perfect, most of our customers are extremely happy with our service.

    e)    We are in the technical services business. Some of the issues can be extremely complex and can sometimes take more than a few hours to fix. While 98 % of the time we successfully resolve  customers' problem, on occasion we fall short of the standards we have set for our self.

    f)    To protect out customers from such situations we have a 30-day money back guarantee. If for some reason you feel that GuruAid service is not up to the mark, we will refund the service fees. All such inquiries are handled within 48-hours, there is no run-around.

    g)    Mrs. Mitchell, it appears from your comments, that your experience was not up to the level that we would like. We have a Customer Relationship Management system that has data on all customer interaction. We also include an order-id with the payment receipt. We will be happy to investigate your case, and promise to respond to your concerns within 24 hours. But we need you to provider your order reference id.

    h)    Or if you would prefer call us at our Customer Service department try us at 1-855-GURUAID (1-855-487-8243).

         Sincerely

your so called techs suck...and your customer service sucks worse. your bs below is just that BS..you are deceptive right from the way your website is listed to the cheezy con artists you have as sales people...this was a joke of an experience other than the fact that you $300 of my credit tied up because you said you would put a creidt refund through and that was a week ago but you again deceptively have it as pending so your sitting on my $ and fvking up my credit line by the same amount..nice scam ya got there...happy dot land.

They implied to me that they were contracted with Norton.  I feel like a complete dope for trusting them.  My mistake was allowing her to remote access to my computer.  Right after she logged in, she suddenly said she couldn't help me and redirected me to the REAL Norton customer service.  Red flags IMMEDIATELY.

samething happen to me, i call a tel number thinking im calling the norton support line, but the guy was from guruaid and he's in india, he acted like he was a norton representative, after spending an hour with him and him trying to sell me craps and ask so many personnal questions that i did not feel confortable to answer, i realise he's not from norton. I made a complain  and let norton know that guruaid people are passing themselves as norton representatives. checking online you will so many complains about guruaid people passing as Microsoft, or macafee or norton representative etc..... i dont undestand why no one is doing anything about this company. the fbi or bbb should investigate them, they access ur computer and who know is they are stealing your information or not

dispute a claim replies to GuruAid Customer Support
we will see how accurate those statements are. 30 days is 30 days, not 30 minutes. i have found this firm to be very corrupt, deceptive and actually arrogant. i shut my claim down and we will see how it goes. this is the type of firm that gives HONEST computer repair shops a bad name. if you cant fix it, in the case of 30 days. its very easy to understand why they are more worried about the warranty than actually fixing the problem.

On the phone with your company now.  Used you about one month ago when I attempted to download an antivirus program and it referred me to your site.   Had them log onto my computer and "clean it up" and then download Microsoft Security Essentials.   Over the past month my computer has had more and more problems.  Turns out I was infected with malware (Whitesmoke) which I did not have any issue with prior to you going online.  Now getting the run around about getting a refund as I am not satisfied with the service I received.   Want to get access to my computer again - good luck with that - you messed it up once so you will NOT be getting access ever again.

When you "google" GURUAID and I try to go to your website, my current antivirus program won't even open it as it says it is infected.

I will be warning everyone to stay away from your services!!

It is my legal right to cancel any transaction within 48 hours. I asked you twice to cancel the transaction from April 22 and you refused. It is still pending according to my credit company. If it shows up on my statement, I  have no choice than to dispute the charge and start a fraud investigation. It seems I have a lot of company on this venture. Aside from that, one of your clowns, who was extremely annoying wasted about an hour of my time without offering any solution.

Your service is total [***] as well as your attempt to allow you to remotely access my computer in order to refund the money I paid your company. You have all the necessary information to refund my money. So, go ahead and refund it. I am sick and tired of being harassed by your reps demanding that you need to access my computer to issue a refund. Either refund it or quit calling me..You are not doing a remote access on my computer PERIOD..

I've been trying to call Guruaid at the following numbers;1-855-487-8243, 1-855-575-5139,1-855-575-5140 and 1-855-575-4857 for several days without success.  Each time I receive the following response, "The number you are calling cannot be reached from your calling area".  I am calling from Honolulu, Hawaii.  I wanted to talk to someone about my Annual Maintenance Plan.  If it is going to be that difficult to talk to someone in your company, then I don't want to do business with your company, and request you refund my $159.99.  My Customer Account Number is GA120404114  I was not able to find your corporate address to write regarding this matter, but saw and took this opportunity to convey my message.
