The way that you keep stating that everybody is "lying" convinces me that you are way too immature to be a real professional business. You are a scam site and try to target the older generation on being incompetent enough to notice that they are actually being scammed. You almost tricked my own relative into trying to pay for a software mistake that did not actually exist. All you did was open our documents and started to make up a bogus story on how everything was corrupt. There was only a glitch with AVG (which you stated that you are linked to) and you tried to scam my old grandfather into thinking that there was something wrong with the PC. Thank god that I was there to prevent it due to my knowledge of computing due to the fact that you could have scammed a helpless person from quite a bit of money.
I think you should be ashamed of yourself..... actually scratch that, I think you are one of those people that just does not care about anybody else.

    pissed off
    I am writing to you Re ( guruaid.uk.com/AVG-Customer-Support 0800 756 3336)

I had a problem with one of my AVG Software,so I uninstalled it then reinstalled it,but when  I tried to put a activetion key in it would not accept.

The software was paid for so I decided to ring AVG Customer care service at AVG,I did a google search I entered AVG, when Igot the results I could see AVG at the top and just below this was:

    CUSTOMER SUPPORT for AVG - uk.com 0800 756 3336

I rang the number and a asian person repied,I told him of my problem he said that they would fix itfor me, as I thought I was talking to AVG customer care services I said ok.

He then told me to enter a web address after which he then gave me a code to enter,by this time they had control of my comuter,he tried to sell a 12 month service plan but I said I would have the one off fix which was £85.

I watched as they removed some of my software then cleaned my computer,Alarm bells where ringing I my head but it was to late.

I have now checked this site and it appears to be a SCAM,they put some Malware on my computer,if you wish to check just do a search on google or youtube.

    Bad experience
I wish I had found this website before using guruaid. I had similar bad experience thinking that they were part of a Norton support. I let them remotedly took over my computer in order to repair the Norton internet security that had stopped working in my computer. This went on for hours. My computer was crashed several times during the process.  Eventually, just before completing the payment that I did not expect, the final disaster came. I can no longer start up my computer and was given advice to take it to a repair center to have it clean up. I think I should be compensated for the crash!

I have had nothing but good advise, help, politeness and the computer works well now. But having seen all the other comments it has to be food for thought. Don't think I will use them again just in case!!!

A lot of these companies will do you good first time but then they will contact you saying they detected a virus or some other screw up on your computer and they need to access it right now or asap. At this point they will not only charge you again but will also gather any information on social medias, bank information, PayPal, ECT they can. It's probably best to avoid using second time and they will most likely show their ugly side second time around if you decline them access.

Very well said. Same things happened with me.  Guruaid is a well managed scam system performing identity theft.

Hi I like to state this company is a scam they installed spywear on to one my clients computer you do not have to remote access the computer to remove virus. Also to clarify they do not work for Microsoft, AVG, Nortan or any of these companies I contacted them all they all calm to have no ties or connection to this company.
Stay away most of their reviews on Google is fake. I don't clam to best or greatest at cyber security but I know enough to spot virus and spywear and scammers. If don't want take my word for it then use at own risk. Also your bank will most likely cancel the chargers when you tell them that you most likely been scammed. I also had my client change all their bank info and any passwords on any of their social medias they made have sign into. This is my advice to you hopes it help.

Guide to uninstalling any software they installed for you.
One start off with removing any software they install on your computer including Security software through basic control panel uninstall. Second end any odd name programs in background of task manager. Third go to %appdata% to remove any any same name programs they installed. Then back out and do same to roam and under computer program and programs 86 files (may vary for each person).
Next part I highly recommend you find someone you know what their doing but you want to remove their spywear from the registry (experience people recommend because you can mess up computer if you remove wrong reg and the reg name also may vary for each person again).

But if you truly want to be safe and more easier option completely factory reset your computer better safe than sorry (I also understand if you don't want to do this method due to important files and ECT but highly recommend if you do this option if don't know what your doing)

Install something like AVG and Anti Malwarebytes is good combo (Nortan or other antivirus do just fine as well for replacement of AVG)

I also like to give tip as I stated before if you gave them access one time most likely these guys will come across nice at first but denied them access to your computer the second time when they call (and they will saying they found a error or something) and I promise you will see their true colors come out when you do this.

This is best guide I can give atm as for they may have or will change their software and how it functions over time.

Also last tip promise watch their number on their website it changes a lot. Most legit companies don't do this even with Prank calls happening all the time.

That's all tips I can give atm will update if things change

I have been a victim too. I called mcafee about renewal and thought that was who I was talking to. I stupidly gave remote access and was told of problems in pc. I had never experienced problems I was only calling about a renewal. Later discovered I had been scammed by someone in India. I have cancelled credit card (which I used to pay) and informed my bank. Have taken my pic to local shop to get wiped clean. What a work and inconvenience. Beware of GURU AID.

I let them fix a problem which they did but now they call 4x's a day from different numbers and won't take "no" or "stop calling" as my answer.

When I called for support, they ultimately hijacked my computer, saying they would destroy the system if we didn't give the valid numbers of 7 ($700.00) of iTunes gift cards.  I felt helpless and hopeless.  After giving them the numbers, he installed malware while my PC was under siege,  I called my bank, who immediately told me to UNPLUG THE PC FROM THE INTERNET.  I have called them several times but their databank no longer accepts my calls.  sorry, it's hard to be nice to people who are morally bankrupt,  DONT INVOLVE YOURSELF WITH GURUAID.  they took me for almost 1000 USD,

I was foolish enough to sign up with guru aid as my e mails went down. they did not fix the issue i rang them again and they spent 3 hours on my computer. since then i have had issues with my computer that were not there before. they kept calling me to say they would fix it but did not ,by then i was really pissed of with them. foolishly i had already parted with my money!! I then went to a legitimate highly reccomended company, they have fixed all the issues, I asked them to wipe of anything to do with guru aid, my computer is now really fast!! keep away from guru aid!!

GuruAid apparently captured my attempt to contact Norton and popped up a message to call a number that was not Norton but was in fact Guruaid. The Guruaid rep successfully fooled me into thinking I was talking to Norton's tech support. Sadly I bought a $270 (1 year) tech support subscription. After that expired Guruaid called me and said it was time to cleanup my computer but could not answer if my subscription was active or expired. As you might guess they had automatically renewed my credit card payment for a new subscription without my permission. Guruaid may be affiliated with some US company, but I can assure you Guruaid itself is a SCAM operation. Their pitiful and irritating sales attempts are unprofessional and may well be simply nothing more than identity theft.
Never fall for anything any Guruaid representative may tell you over telephone or in Chat sessions.

The BrightPCGuru mispresented as a part of Microsoft, scammed $160 on 12/15/17.  Charles and John, Tech Support couldn’t answer my computer problem.  They are priceless and useless.  Lost $160.  Hope, they didn’t hack and misuse my private info in my computer.
