This is an unsolicited and extremely annoying practice that a company can now show it's name like it is one of your contacts to try and sell something. Just another way of interrupting our privacy and our precious time.

The phone company sells these numbers to companies they know are telemarketing companies. It’s for money, dah, tired of it.
