I am getting sick of the so-called american named, such as Mark Williams and Mike George, with thick
accents from the lovely middle east, that should be completely wiped out and turned into Disneyland
with a free barrel of oil when your headed back to the States after your stay, calling me!
   What kind of country are we where in todays technology that we cant catch these foreigners, who are
probably being paid by red blooded Americans? The SHAME!!!  Im just tired of arguing with these losers
and they knowing way too much information about me!
   Like I'm going to believe some habeeb from some trumped up law firm from L.A. was hired by some
legitimate American company to pursue me and collect a debt for which I DO NOT OWE!! LAUGHABLE yet I want break someones neck if we could ever catch these lazy out of towners who wont earn a real
living!

    I also just received a disturbing message from their phone #760-592-6191 threatening legal action against my husband.  They also had heavy Indian accents (I Could barely understand the message).  Luckily I came home and looked up "Department of Legal Affairs" and found all these insightful comments from others experiencing the same thing.  I called back their # 4 times.  The first 3 straight to voice mail, but got a live person the 4th time.  He immediately asked for my name & ph # which I would not provide.  I asked him his name and after a few seconds he answered Danny "Rich".  I guess that's what he's hoping to be if some poor sucker gives him their personal information.  While he repeatedly asked my name and phone number I repeatedly asked for his number.  After about 10 times he got tired of playing and answered that his # was 800-SUCK MY D!@&.
    FRAUD CONFIRMED!!!  DON'T GIVE ANY FINANCIAL OR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THESE LOW LIFES!!!!!!!!

    Just Got a call from a "Derick Williams" from the Legal Affairs Department of Treasury with a thick Indian accent saying a case has been opened against me. I or my retained Attorney should call them back asap. The number he called from was 213-261-0748.

    Best thing is to not to respond to them, block their number (if possible), and notify your carrier of harassing phones calls from a scammer. It's THEIR responsibility to monitor and block the number within their network. It worked for me.

    While at work today I was harassed all day long. so called Ryan Gibson who I think is a computer called me and mentioned to me that my name has been linked with illegal enforcement. I had to replay the message numerous times because of his thick accent. he said to me that I should contact my attorney and have them call his office because if I do not that legal matters will get worse. 5 hours later he calls again and leaves another message stating that I must be running from my problems and not able to face them because I'm hiding from the law and that if I do not call him back in 1 hour that he will have no choice but to come to my house and arrest me and that it is going to cause legal problems. I called my mom in a panic thinking that when I got home the police would be at my house. we both called back and got nothing but a answering machine for a man named kevin which also had a accent. so I started to do research and came to a conclusion that this was a scam! people are crazy and sick if this is what they do for money. I feel bad for all the people who fell for there stupidity. and these people should be behind bars!!! just thought I would let everyone know that this guy is a scam ! phone number is (213)928-6683

    I got a phone call from a Michael Brown from the "Department of Legal Affairs". He knew my name and he said there was a lawsuit against me and that I had to call David Chambers at (909)810-5727. He had a big accent so I knew he was not Michael Brown. I looked it up and saw the scam that it is. About an hour later he called me back. I said take me off your list. This is a scam and I already made a complain. He said "well Mam if you think this is a scam, it is not". Seriously? I told him not to call again then  I hung up! I want to know how he got my name and number. Who do I call?

      I got a call telling me to call david chambers but at a different number 202-750-3010 I talked to three people all three had accent. this man hung up on me.

    I just received the same call from 202-380-0995.  Very thick Indian accent and he said is name was Eric Bodson and I needed to call Amy Jones at the same number.

    I'm a Black American Female and a man with a foreign accent named David Miller called from 202-864-1161 to my cell phone and left a message for a lady named Dismay Sanarino, I guess that's what he was saying, lol. He went on saying he was from the Legal Affairs of U.S Treasury and it might be in my best interest to get a lawyer, but he never said why I needed a lawyer. Ok now, for one thing, No Body is going to call my phone talking mess, you better tell me what the situation is before you throw out threats because this is AMERICA. That was the first call message.
    The second time David Miller called to leave a message it was from an unknown number. He said, I already called you and warned you that you needed a lawyer, and it seems like you are running and hiding from this situation and if you don't call me within the hour, you will be arrested.  Ok, it's time to let this fool have it. This is when a black female forgets she is an American, f**k it. I called 202-864-1161, a man with a foreign accent answered, I told this fool, somebody keeps calling my number, and I told him my number, and I said to his a**  (IF YOU CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN, I'M GOING TO SEEK LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST YOUR A**) and I gave him my number again. He said, ok sorry.
    People, if you know you have not done no wrong in your pass then don't set around worrying, other then that, you live in America. Just go to google.com in the search box type in, legal affairs of u.s treasury and the real u.s treasury government internet site comes up and there is a giant FRAUD ALERTS about these calls people are getting. Pass the word, ok?

    i got the same call last night. but unfortunately, I wanted it to be true, since it was for my boyfriend's ex-wife who hadn't lived here in 3 years. we are about to haul her butt in court Monday to reduce his alimony, since she is working and living with another guy. we got so excited about this call last night, and it broke my heart today to find out it was a fake scam! lol!! same exact thing as everyone else says, almost down to the exact words. apparently they are reading a script! lol!! so I have been calling them back all morning asking them if they use that money to fund the Taliban, and does mr. chris walker have his green card? lol!!! I've been laughing so hard, he actually asked me if I was high! lol!! he even stopped answering my calls so I had to start blocking my number. I don't know why, I only called him around 10 times in 5 minutes. then waited a bit and started it again. I don't know why he hangs up on me when he hears my voice! lol. on the last call I asked him if he knew my address because I am waiting for the police to show up. again, he hung up on me. why can't he take a joke? if anyone wants to harass him his number is 323-285-8982, and his name is so-called officer chris walker. but could be an indian accent, or maybe Arabic.  if anyone reads this, make his day, and tell him people from florida miss hearing his voice. lol!!

    I received a phone call from a man who said he was from department of legal affairs the phone number is 202-750-3010. telling me to call back and ask for david chambers.i don't have long distance on my home phone so I called back on my cell phone. when I called david chambers I could hardly hear him. he said they had evadinse about a case on me. I ask him what the case was. then he ask me don't  you know what the case is. I told him no. I started to ask for him to call me back on my home phone because I could hardly hear. but he hung up.

    This is very scarey I had a man call threatening me that he was from the Dept of Treasury Fraud and I had fraud on my account and to get my things in order I was going to lose everything. Threatening his name was David Chambers. Telling me that I am going to lose everything and go to jail for 30 days or more and that my 2007 taxes had a problem and I owed $1,245.00 that I never paid. Well I got money back this year and they would have taken it out if I owed money. Threatening and I almost had a heart attack so upsetting to me. So scary. Who the hell are these people that do this. He told me get my things in order and he is telling the police department and I will be arrested. And for me to contact my job and tell them so they don't fire me. Then he tells me I am going down he will make sure I lose everything.

    I got a call from a "David Miller" from Dept of Legal Affairs (US Treasury) who also has a middle eastern accent.  He said it was regarding a law enforcement action issue and to call 202 241-7541

    That if I did not call that I should have an attorney call because this could turn into a big legal mess.


    How are we supposed to keep this kind of crazy thing from happening?  Help!

    "Steve Smith" calling from 202-241-7541 claimed he was from the Dept. of Legal Affairs of the U.S. Treasury and said if the person he was calling did not call back within an hour a warrant would be issued. "Steve" had a thick Pakistani accent and broke at least 2 laws that I know of.

    I got a message on my answering machine from a Rachel Smeed. She had a thick accent and the call said this is a robo call from the Department of Legal Affairs. She said there was an enforcement act against me. She gave me the number 408-940-9733 then she repeated an entirely different number 818-945-4205. I laughed. At least get your numbers straight. She also said if I did not call that I should have an attorney call because this could turn into a big legal mess. Then she said have a blessed day. I knew it was a scam right away and will not call back.

    call from an eric smith saying i need to contact him straight away or have my lawyer call in regards to something i couldn't understand with accent. so what do we do with all of this people i don't know with the same problem? who do we contact to stop the harassment. where's our protection of privacy? please someone let me know....

      I received a message on my phone this week from Eric Smith, too.  Phone number was 909-562-1778.  at the end, he said "Have a Blessed Day."  Thick accent.
      I also get calls about my computer being hacked at least once a week. . .
