I am getting sick of the so-called american named, such as Mark Williams and Mike George, with thick
accents from the lovely middle east, that should be completely wiped out and turned into Disneyland
with a free barrel of oil when your headed back to the States after your stay, calling me!
   What kind of country are we where in todays technology that we cant catch these foreigners, who are
probably being paid by red blooded Americans? The SHAME!!!  Im just tired of arguing with these losers
and they knowing way too much information about me!
   Like I'm going to believe some habeeb from some trumped up law firm from L.A. was hired by some
legitimate American company to pursue me and collect a debt for which I DO NOT OWE!! LAUGHABLE yet I want break someones neck if we could ever catch these lazy out of towners who wont earn a real
living!

    I got a call from 1-760-980-0836 saying there was a lawsuit pending against me.   Then, was transferred to another person, who asked my name, I told him you know my name ~ your company called me.   Both were mid eastern man.  Seriously!   Total scam!!!

    I got a call today from Adam Rogers from the Dept. of Legal Affairs, he advised that there has been a legal enforcement against my name and advised that I have my attorney call or I will be in a legal mess if I do not respond quickly.  He repeated his phone # 415-685-8846. And looked forward to my call and God Bless.  I am sure this is a scam and I will not be returning his call....dont fall for this scam.

    We got a call this morning from  San Francisco  CA,  a Jennifer Lincoln who said she was with The Department of Legal Affairs and  she had something very important to talk to  me about.  First off , she couldn't pronounce the last name right it sounded like burgurrr which isn't my last name.  She sounded like she had an Indian accent..  She also said if I didn't call back or have a representative call back at the number she gave me it would result in a financial mess for me.  Just for kicks I had my husband call the call back number which was 845-926-4194 which was a Carters and Oscosh  ( childrens clothing store)  number which wasn't being used so the gave us another number to call which is for their store support.  I haven't ever shopped there.  Story short it's a scam.  The other numbers involved  were 415-926-4194 and 844-586-7238..  I haven't received any paperwork saying I owe anything and I sure hope that everyone knows if you haven't received any information or documents in the mail its not legit even if they say they're calling from the IRS get it in writing, and give none of your  info out..

      I received the same call from a Jennifer Anderson with a sharp Indian accent.  She stated I needed to call, I am facing criminal action from the Department of Legal affairs and to have my Lawyer with me on the Phone.  She then said god Bless, this is very serious it is a criminal investigation and I could be in lots of trouble if I do not call back.  What is this, Jennifer Lincoln, with a strong Indian accent.  I had to listen to the message 5 times to understand.  Anybody know what this is?

    I am the latest recipient of one of these lovely phone calls.  I don't have any credit issues and we have been members of Lifelock for years, so I would have been alerted to any negative collection issues on my credit report.  As all the others, it was a person with a thick accent of Indian or Middle Eastern origin identifying themselves as Alan White.  They were very cryptic in their information and when I called the number back I received a recording that the MagicJack customer had not been set up yet.  I don't know of many legitimate law firms that would have an all foreign staff and use MagicJack for their phone service.  This has SCAM written all over it.  The number I received was 323-786-6507 out of Los Angeles.

    My daughter ( who is suffering from cancer) received a message from 916-740-8623.  A man (Mark Smith I think, with a mideastern accent) said he was from the treasury dept. and there was legal action against her.  What is the app to auto dial them back?  Cant they get people who speak English well to work their scams?

    I received a call about 20 minutes ago from a Michael Clark, #760-595-6539.  He spoke slowly as if reading from a script. Said a legal matter and that I should have my attorney call to discuss as law enforcement action has been taken against me and to avoid a further mess, I should contact him. He then said look forward to hearing from you soon and have a Blessed Day.  WTF!!!  Well, I called them back and of course he threatened me with jail. blah, blah, blah...  I told them that I would pay him in SILVER, but he would have to come get it...  He said silver?  and I said yes... silver casings that  have hollow point tips....  He hung up  !I guess he wasn't willing to come and get the silver... hahahahha

    Just got a call from 760-790-4001, Jennifer Allen, said she was calling from the US Treasury, Dept of Legal Affairs about legal action about to be taken against me. Caller had heavy accent and male also involved had heavy accent. They wanted my attorney's information. I asked them to give me the Social Security # for me. They said they couldn't give me that information so I told them I couldn't give them any information either and hung up. They didn't call back.

    Got a call from Adam Walker this AM for my son. Hispanic accent. said he needed to redeem an attorney and call back at 213 457-3672 otherwise something bad would happen. Then he said good bye and have a blessed day! ( imagine that)

    I too got a call just a few minutes ago from the same foreigners saying I was under investigation for tax issues. He said his name was "officer"Chris Walker (ID#835-110) Wrong!!!
    He also started to rattle on about I should have gotten notices about these tax issues and an another office was listening in on the line. I hung up and called back and this same people answered and I asked him his name and he started to play a game and said what is your name and why are I writing down my own name. He never gave me his again but told me to delete the number left on my phone!!! Wrong again!!

    I was going to call the IRS but put a block on that number and am warning all my friends and family about this scam. These are the kind of people who prey and looking for our vulnerable people and population. No good will come to them all.

    Call from 2134717990.  Said it was the department of legal affairs with the us treasury.  "officer" Steven Conner who said he was from san Bernardino, and who had a heavy middle eastern accent, told me I owed tax money from 2012.  Then he told me the authorities would be coming to my house.  When I started asking him questions he asked if I had a hearing problem, we argued, then he told me "I don't want to talk to you, get arrested".  I'll be waiting, lol

    Just got one today.bad connection. Calling from 951-643-8943, dept of legal affairs. Saying that I had received certified letter and was being sued. Male with accent, when I questioned things, he was rude and hung up. Don't be fooled. These are criminals!! And they have address, name, other info. Be careful!!

    Yea I just got a call from 631 area code - they told me if i didn't call back the police in my state would be at more door....Please people get a better story!!

    I just received a call from a automated recording and I was told I will pick up by local police for criminal fraud and I had frauded no one though I have been getting harrassing text and calls from I believe a scam can someone help me

    Just for the record - I got a call from a man claiming to be John Baker. Thick accent. Probably Pakistani. Says he is calling from the Department of legal affairs of the Department of Treasury with a notification of an enforcement action. Leaves a number: 213-536-0774

    Be wary my friends.

    On May 13/15 I received a call from a lady (Carrie Baker) she said she was from the Department of Legal Affairs.  The number she was calling from is 231-814-2859. She also said that if I do not call her back that I would have legal mess and I should contact my lawyer.
    I did a some back checks and find this to be a scam

    Message left from 323-617-3802 (caller ID: Los Angeles CA). Male w/ Indian or Middle Eastern accent said he was Nelson Carter from the Dep't of Legal Affairs for the US Treasury calling for me (slaughtered my name, but that's not unusual for telemarketers). Said this was my verbal notice about a law enforcement action started against me, so I should call him back, or have my regional attorney call for me; any delay in calling would result in a legal mess for me. Repeated his name & phone number.

    I just received the exact same call.  At 9:15am PST on Thursday 5/28/15 "Nathan Conner" of the Department of Legal Affairs called to say that there was legal action going to be taken against my wife.  He had a very forigen accent and made it extremely hard to understand.  He want me to call back with an attorney.  His number was 213-814-2859.  We reported it to the US Treasury.  I did a reverse phone number look up and found it to be a land line phone in Los Angeles California.  His carrier is Level 3 communications.  I am not about to spend $1 dollar to find out the name of the person/company who owns the line, since its probably fake anyway.

    My husband and I have each received a call from two different people, one on Friday 5/29/15 for me from John Edwards at (760) 335-6113 and one today for my husband from Eric Foster at (909) 961-8011. It is a scripted statement. I happened to have the message from Friday still on my recorder and it was the EXACT same message with different names and phone numbers. The caller has a thick accent and is hard to understand. The message left is pretty much the same as everyone else, saying an enforcement action has been started on our names and if we are too busy to call back, the suggestion is to have my retained attorney do it for me...  I know better but my father in law would be one to freak out at this kind of phone call. I called both numbers back and the phone rings once and goes straight to voicemail. The number left for me today goes to a woman and not a man, which is who called and her name is Officer Gilber (couldn't understand the first name, again she had a thich accent)
