I am getting sick of the so-called american named, such as Mark Williams and Mike George, with thick
accents from the lovely middle east, that should be completely wiped out and turned into Disneyland
with a free barrel of oil when your headed back to the States after your stay, calling me!
   What kind of country are we where in todays technology that we cant catch these foreigners, who are
probably being paid by red blooded Americans? The SHAME!!!  Im just tired of arguing with these losers
and they knowing way too much information about me!
   Like I'm going to believe some habeeb from some trumped up law firm from L.A. was hired by some
legitimate American company to pursue me and collect a debt for which I DO NOT OWE!! LAUGHABLE yet I want break someones neck if we could ever catch these lazy out of towners who wont earn a real
living!

    Got a call Arron Carter, from the US Treasure's Legal Affairs Dept., stating my wife or her attorney needed to contact him as soon as possible because there is a case filed against her. And she should contact Arron at 415 685 8509. Clearly, that is not going to happen.....This need to STOP.

    Received a call from John Davis from the department of Legal Affairs 323-786-8560.  I hung up on him 2 times on the third call he asked if I was playing games with him and I hung up again.  He called again and left a message on voicemail.  Stated enforcement action that has been started against my name, need to call back or have my retained attorney call. The told me to have a blessed day.

    Just listened to a voicemail from James Washington with the department of legal affoairs 858-224-8554.  Glad I saw this string before I called them back to argue.

      Just received a call from Roy Jackson (949) 800-7609. Department of Legal Affairs. Same rigamorole about claim and if I'm too busy have my lawyer call them back. I tried the number first and went to a voicemail/answering machine, so I hung up. Reverse lookup had indicated it was probably a telemarketer of some sort. Glad I found this thread.

    Got called on my answering machine from the legal affair department saying that "This is a final notice in regards to medical insurance legal action has been filed in my wife name and to my retain attorney to called them back,  any delays will result in bla bla.......", you know the rest.  " Please call Jim Baker at 925 487 6221.  Such familiar name.

    I'm glad I search this thread, save me alot of pain.

    This was the same message, with a thick accent to call a 909#, only the message was for my son. Legal action was being taken against him & he needed to contact his attorney. That's when I knew it was a scam. Everyday kids don't have attorneys & when I called back I got a message machine. I told them I knew it was a scam because that had called a kid & I was going to report them so they might as well get back on their elephant & go back where they came from.

    I got a message for my ex husband who has not lived at my phone number for over six years and couldn't even say his last name correctly. I could barely understand the person's message because their accent was so bad, no clue where from. Something to do with wages or something, couldn't understand most of it.  Glad I didn't pass this one on to him, although might have been fun to do, was courteous and deleted it.

    I just got a voice mail from Jack Lewis. Heavy middle eastern accent-I had to play the message several times before I caught as much as I can understand. Number I got was 818-627-0156. I have no intention of calling them back. Reverse lookup says Ymax Communications Mobile out of Glendale, California. One of the pervious entries here said he was going to answer his phone as "special agent" whatever and ask for the address so he can drop by and straighten it out in person. I like that, and I'm going to do it also. I hate these [***].

    I just got a message from Richard, something? I could not understand his accent.  Department of Legal Affairs, have my attorney call them back at 1-415-506-2401, charges are being brought against me.  I reversed the number, it is out of Ignacio California.  I would like to bring charges against this Richard for  fraud!!! 12/01/2014

    I just received a call from these idiots and they left the following voice mail in my comcast mail box.  Comcast sends me a text rendition of the message.  This is the following message:

    "This message is intended to contact Susan. Susan this is Jonathan with the Department of hill-affairs(?). And I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. If if-you-were(?) modification for you. In regards to the enforcement actions that have been stopped(?) against your name. My number is 949-800-7609. I repeat again 949-800-7609. If for any reasons-you're-are(?) busy to call back. I would suggest you to have your retained attorney to do that for you. you-ain't(?) calling us might end up into a legal message for you. I hope you would do this right and call me back. This is Jonathan Edwards with the Department of financial affairs. Looking forward to speak to you. Until then. Have a blessed day. And God bless."

    I filed a complain with he do not call list and filed a criminal report with the FBI.

    My wife received a call yesterday from a David Miller, claiming he was from the Dept. of Legal Affairs, US Treasury.  "verbal notification of law enforcement actions"  told her to have her attorney contact him at (706)305-9037.  From reading all the above posts, it is a scam.  I could see that if it was made to an elderly person, they could become afraid and scared right away.

    I also received this scam phone call.  I had plenty of spare time on my hands today so i called them back.......nonstop.......for several hours.....from several phones.......all at the same time.  I blew up the answering service with messages....songs.......animal sounds.......you name it.....i played it for them.  He answered my calls a few times with less than kind greetings.  They claimed to be federal employees...even claimed to be law officers.   Yes, i just had to have fun with that lie also........i had my own list of questions.  So......when scammers try that game......i say....lets play!

    I am not sure why these scammers are still in business since they have been doing this for three years. I guess the US prosecutors are not interested in them. THey can call 100 names each day and only have to get one sucker to make a living THey need to be castrated.

    I just got a call from these people. My mother called me at 11 at night telling me I had received a message on the home phone which I have not been at for over 10 years. The individual said a legal action had been filed in my name and to please call back. She was very concerned. I am glad I looked this up! What a joke. I will be reporting this to any agency I can. I did call the number back, just to see and it was an Indian named "Louise" and he said I had reached the "Department of Legal Affairs"

    Just got a phone message from the Department of Legal Affairs. Gentleman with a very think accent stating legal action is being filed against me.  His number for me to call him back at is 909-237-6087.  He didn't sound believable and after checking on line I noticed this number came up on a fraud list.  Thanks for having a website such as this to help people determine a fraud when the hear of one.  We don't answer land line calls without screening.  Won't be calling this number back but thought it was important to post this here.  Good luck and please be very careful.

    Just received a call this morning from Mark Williams with the "Department of Legal Affairs".  I immediately searched on line (after a brief panic) and found this site along with hundreds of others complaining of the same.  I called the FTC with the number provided above and lodged a complaint.  They gave me a reference # and asked me to call back if I hear from them again. Also suggested it wouldn't be a bad idea to alert one of the credit bureaus.  The number of Equifax 1-800-525-6285. I am probably going to call just to be safe.  I don't know what information they have of mine because I didn't call back. I can't believe that this same scam has been going on since 2012!

    PEOPLE BEWARE  any calls from jonathan   ,the [***] [***] , with tel # 760 565-9527  slam the phone on his ears. bottomfeeders all of them. complained to FCC about these scammers.

    a slimy creature named jonathan who claims to be from the dept. of legal affairs & whose tel. no. is 760-565-9529 (caller i d unavailable) called & left a message for my daughter threatening her w/ some legal action; it was a 1st time for me but my daughter knew right away it was a scam. jonathan, the s.o.b. is a scumbag. people pls. beware of him and that tel. number.
